OPPO F5 Seen in ABS-CBN’s Newest Video

0

OPPO F5 ads are everywhere in Metro Manila and some celebrities including Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia, Gretchen Ho, and more. The OPPO F5 was also featured at the Star Magic Ball 2017, however, we didn’t have any closer look on the smartphone until now. ABS-CBN Lifestyle has recently posted a video about expert advice from Metro magazine’s Beauty Editor Kate Paras on how to achieve looks of different celebrities.

Well, Ms. Kate Paras is seen holding the OPPO F5 while showing the faces of the celebrities. Take a look at some of my screencaps from the video.

Damn. This is the best-looking OPPO smartphone that I’ve ever seen. As you can see from the photos, the OPPO F5 will pack a large 18:9 display with a bezel-less design. The fingerprint scanner is also placed at the back just above the OPPO logo. Unfortunately, there’s no dual-lens camera on the front or on the back of the smartphone.

The OPPO F5 is expected to be unveiled this October 26.

The all-new Google Pixel and Pixel 2 XL is finally official after weeks of leaks. The Google Pixel and Pixel 2 XL are the newest smartphone from Google that runs on the latest Android operating system and of course, it also packs the best camera on a smartphone according to DxoMark despite having only a single camera setup compared to the Galaxy Note8 and the iPhone 8 Plus.

Both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL runs on Android 8.0 oreo and it packs a 18:9 display but the Pixel 2 packs only a 5-inch OLED display while the Pixel 2 XL features a pOLED display. Inside the smartphones is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and also the 4GB RAM.

The smartphone’s fingerprint scanner is placed at the back and this is the first smartphone to pack an eSim. But don’t worry because the smartphone will still come with a single Nano SIM card slot.

Despite having a single rear camera on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, the smartphones are able to do portrait mode and again, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is the best camera according to DxoMark.

There’s no word regarding the availability of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in the Philippines but there’s a Google Store Philippines now and we hope that it will be available there soon.

ASUS Announces the ROG Premium Care, their Premium Maintenance Service for FX/ROG Laptops

1

There are a lot of reasons why you should buy your ASUS ROG or FX notebook locally or from the ROG Authorized Resellers but I think the ROG Premium Care is the best reason why you should get your laptop at authorized local sellers. Why? because all gaming notebooks covered by this program with 24-month warranty as long as the gaming is bought via local resellers and as long as the warranty is not voided.

So what’s up with the ROG Premium Care service of ASUS. With the ROG Premium Care program from ASUS Philippines, ROG and FX notebooks will be able to undergo the following preventive maintenance steps.

  • Step 1: Over-All System Diagnosis
  • Step 2: Thermal Compound Re-pasting
  • Step 3: Fan / Air Vent cleaning
  • Step 4: Memory “golden pins” cleaning
  • Step 5: Keyboard Cleaning
  • Step 6: Cosmetics Part Cleaning
  • Step 7: LCD Cleaning
  • Step 8: Recommendations
  • Step 9: Final Over-All System Check-Up

This is a really nice program for ASUS ROG and FX Series users as this program encourage gamers and consumers to buy from authorized resellers and for the consumers, they’ll get to have a check-up and maintenance of their notebooks for free.

Not only that, ASUS ROG has also partnered with CoolerMaster for providing the cooling compound for the CPU and GPU which will decrease the temperature and also to promote a longer lifespan.

The first phase of the program will start this November 2017.

Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Plus Leaks out with TrueView Display and Quad-Cameras

0

We haven’t heard that much from Cherry Mobile lately but recently, we just got a leaked render of the next Cherry Mobile smartphone, the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Plus. It’s the first confirmed smartphone in the 6th generation of Cherry Mobile Flare Series and as shown in the picture, it will have an 18:9 display which Cherry Mobile calls as TrueView Display.

Surprisingly, the smartphone will also pack a dual front camera which makes the smartphone one of the few to pack this feature. My guess? This Cherry Mobile smartphone will excel on both on the rear camera and selfie cameras and hopefully, we could see a bokeh feature on both the front and rear cameras of the smartphone.

Expect this smartphone to be finally unveiled this October. Hopefully, we could get to see the other smartphones in the Flare S6 series.

Thanks again to @evleaks, we now have a clearer look of the next flagship smartphone from Google, the Pixel 2 XL. Unlike most flagship smartphones these days, it won’t have an edge-to-edge display and it will still sport dual front-facing speakers.

The leaked photos show the Pixel XL 2 in a case and also in its naked form. The smartphone now sports thinner bezels compared to the previous Pixel smartphones.

The Google Pixel XL 2 is expected to be unveiled this year and it is also expected to run Google’s latest operating system, Android Oreo 8.0.
