ASUS reveals the Zenfone 4 and their APAC Ambassador, Gong Yoo

Finally it’s official. After weeks of teasing of their brand new ambassador for the next Zenfone series, ASUS has finally revealed their newest ambassador for the APAC region, Gong Yoo. He is the guy from Train to Busan, Goblin, Coffee Prince, & more. And yes, ASUS has also revealed what the ASUS Zenfone 4 will look like.

In case you cannot see the obvious, Gong Yoo is holding of what seems to be the next smartphone of ASUS, the ASUS Zenfone 4. As you can see from the photo, the ASUS Zenfone 4 will pack the brand’s iconic concentric circle design at the back and also a dual camera.

The fingerprint scanner of the smartphone is also gone at the back which suggests that the fingerprint scanner is placed on the front which can probably serve as the home button of the smartphone. No other details were revealed but expect the ASUS Zenfone 4 to be revealed this August.

Meizu Philippines has recently announced that they’ll be bringing dual-screen rocking Meizu Pro 7. The use of the Meizu Pro 7 is unique compared to other smartphones as the Meizu Pro 7 has placed the secondary display at the back which can be used to display notifications, selfie, weather, time, music, and more. Unlike other secondary displays on smartphones, I believe the Meizu Pro 7 has the most effective one as you can use it for taking selfies and also when your smartphone is placed face down.

ASUS ZenPower Slim now available at Lazada

ASUS Philippines has just announced that their newest power bank, the ASUS ZenPower Slim which is now available at Lazada. Unlike the other ZenPower power banks of ASUS, this one will have a 3000mAh capacity but don’t worry because according to ASUS, this is the slimmest power bank in the world at 8.3mm only. It’s also the lightest at 81g.

The ASUS ZenPower slim will come with a hairline design and also an ergonomic grip as this one is thin and light. But in order for ASUS to make a slim and affordable power bank like the ZenPower Slim, they have to make some compromises.

The ASUS ZenPower Slim only comes with an output of 5.1V/1A which is a little bit disappointing and of course, it doesn’t come with fast charging. You can charge the powerbank using micro USB and not USB Type C.

So yeah, this device is really portable and yet it is also great for productivity and office use as this one runs on full Windows 10.

It’s awesome tablet but unlike the Galaxy Book 10.6, the iPad Pro 10.5 is running on iOS which means that it can’t run full desktop apps.

If you want to get the Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6, It is now available for P44,990 and it will already come with a keyboard cover and stylus.

But of course, an affordable price means that the notebook needs to have a lower spec’d hardware. The Cubix Cube Book still sports an Intel Atom Z3735F processor, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. But again, there’s a 14-inch display which makes this notebook perfect for students or young professionals who are just using their notebooks for light and casual office use.

The Cubix Cube Book doesn’t have the best keyboard and touchpad but the notebook has a clean design but again, it’s an affordable Windows notebook so don’t expect too much from it. This notebook also got some ports including 2x USB 2.0 ports and also an HDMI for an output display.

Since this is running Windows 10, you can run applications like VLC and Google Chrome however, be wary that the notebook only has a 32GB of storage which is why having a MicroSD card on this notebook is a must. This notebook is just perfect for those people who are into light office use and for students who wants a notebook for their thesis or school.

The smartphone is set to be the most affordable of the smartphones of the Cubix series. The Cubix Play packs a 5-inch HD capacitive display, runs on a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. 

And if you’re not contented with that, there’s the Cubix Cube Play HD which has a better hardware. The Play HD will pack a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and it will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
