Mineski will represent our country for CS:GO after they win ASUS ROG Masters Philippine finals while Execration didn’t disappoint again as they made their way to be the champion in the ASUS ROG Masters Philippine Finals.

The ASUS ROG Masters 2017 APAC Finals will happen this October 2017 so better watch out as different teams will visit the country for one of the biggest esports events in the country.

Xiaomi Mi A1 Now Official: Android One smartphone with Snapdragon 625 chipset and Dual Camera

A new Xiaomi smartphone has just been introduced today and it’s the Xiami Mi A1. This smartphone is unique compared to most Xiaomi smartphones as the Mi A1 runs on Android One which means that this smartphone is running Stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat and this smartphone will have a dual lens camera and it will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Chipset, my personal favorite. The smartphone is also expected to run Android Oreo by the end of the year.

The Vivo Y69 is an affordable smartphone that packs a 16-megapixel front camera that is made for selfies and also a fingerprint scanner for added security. The smartphone is priced at P10,990 and I think the specifications of the smartphone is quite alright for its price.

Samsung Galaxy J7+ Now Official: Dual Camera, Super AMOLED Display, & Helio P20 CPU

The Samsung Galaxy J family just got bigger as Samsung has just announced the Samsung Galaxy J7+. The smartphone is also called the Galaxy C7 (2017) in some markets but yeah, they’re practically the same.

The Samsung Galaxy J7+ unique selling point is its camera. Yes, it packs a 13MP+5MP camera setup with f/1.7 and f/1.9 aperture respectively. The dual camera setup of the smartphone also lets you do bokeh effects. The selfie shooter isn’t disappointing too as this one packs a 16MP f/1.9 selfie camera.

The smartphone also packs a decent 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and it will be powered by MediaTek Helio P20 Processor and it will come with 4GB of RAM along with 32GB of Internal Storage.

The Samsung Galaxy J7+ does have a decent hardware for a mid-range smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy J7+ will be available in Thailand for THB 12,900 (Php19,200). No word regarding local availability.

Vivo secures a spot in the top 5 mobile phone brand worldwide

Looks like the Chinese company has been winning for the past few months as Vivo has managed again to be among the top 5 mobile phone brands worldwide. Aside from that, Vivo has also posted a quarter-to-quarter growth of 66 percent which is really impressive.

The high visibility of the brand in TV, print, and billboard has helped Vivo reached the top spot especially with the Golden State Warriors Point Guard Stephen Curry headlining the ads of the company.

The weekly mall tours along with their celebrity endorsers of Vivo also help the brand’s visibility soar among the Filipino households.

Vivo’s flagship, the Vivo V5s, is also heading the pack of their smartphones which packs a 20-megapixel front camera which is great for selfies.

A never before seen Cherry Mobile smartphone has been seen in a recent live video of Cherry Mobile and it seems that Cherry Mobile will join the selfie-centric smartphone brawl as the smartphone looks like it has a selfie camera with a dedicated LED flash which. The camera looks bigger too which suggests that the selfie camera of this smartphone can take better photos than most smartphones.

Well, we still don’t have any details about the smartphone but expect that a new selfie-centric smartphone from Cherry Mobile will be coming soon.

Your Internet is Slow due to Subsea Cable Outage

The recent typhoon has damaged the SEA-ME-WE3 subsea cable which is located between Perth and Singapore. This cable system services different countries including the Philippines. This internet outage has slowed down the internet of countries in Southeast Asia. Aside from the SEA-ME-WE3 Subsea cable, the Asia-America Gateway, and the Insta-Asia subsea cable systems are also down.

Because of this incident, expect a higher latency in games that requires internet and also browsing websites. PLDT has also advised that the PLDT Home Broadband service is affected especially during peak hours.

The repairs are ongoing however it will take a month before it fully recovers.

Samsung Galaxy C8 Leaks Out: Another Dual Camera smartphone from Samsung

Looks like more smartphones with dual cameras are coming to Samsung and the latest smartphone to leaked out from Samsung is the Samsung Galaxy C8. The C Series of Samsung is still new and one of the new member of the C Series family is Galaxy C8.

There aren’t much details about the smartphone but the Samsung Galaxy C8 is expected to have a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution, a MediaTek Helio P10 Chipset running inside the smartphone, 3/4 GB RAM, 32/64GB Storage, Android 7.1 Nougat, and a 12MP+5MP Dual Camera setup with LED Flashat the back and also a 16MP front facing camera with LED Flash.

We’re not sure yet when the smartphone will be officially anounced but it it’s really refreshing to see Samsung creating more smartphones with dual lens camera.

The next generation iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled on September 12 US Time so expect that the iPhone 8’s announcement in the Philippines will be at 1 AM September 13. The iPhone 8 is expected to have big change in terms of design as the next generation iPhone will have an almost bezel-less display with an on-screen fingerprint scanner.

It is also rumoured that the next iPhone would have a higher price tag as this one will co-exist with the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Well, we don’t have the full details yet but expect new devices to be revealed on September 13 (Philippine Time).
