Excited for the next Zenfone 3 series to come in the Philippines? Well, we just got our early access of the retail unit of the ASUS Zenfone 3 and I’m very happy to share with you guys my unboxing and hands-on of the most awaited ASUS Zenfone 3. The smartphone comes in two variants and what we have right now is the 5.5-inch variant. Check out our unboxing and hands-on of the smartphone below.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 didn’t fail to amaze me when it comes to design. The smartphone isn’t the flagship smartphone in the series and yet, the smartphone still packs a glass and metal design which not only makes the smartphone look premium but also feels like one.

 

The smartphone’s Snapdragon 625 processor along with the 4GB of RAM doesn’t disappoint too in Antutu and the improvement in the camera department was really a big improvement over the previous Zenfone and it really exceeded my expectations.

 

However, the ASUS Zenfone 3’s Zen UI 3.0 is still full of bloatware. I appreciate that ASUS has removed some of the redundant apps but still, the ASUS Zenfone 3 is still loaded with a lot of apps. Thankfully, I can uninstall most of them.

 

The ASUS Zenfone 3 is expected to be launched this August 14 along with the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra.

Aside from the Zenfone 3 Laser, we also got a chance to play with the ASUS Zenfone 3, Max. If you’re familiar with the Zenfone series, the Max is a mid-range smartphone that packs a really large battery. Well, this time, the Zenfone 3 Laser lost some of its features and also added some. If you can still remember, Microsoft made it clear last year that the upgrade to Windows 10 will be available for free for 1 year and today is be last day to upgrade your systems.

Yes folks, we got a chance to play with the ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser which was initially announced at Vietnam. This smartphone is set to be more affordable than the ASUS Zenfone 3 but of course, this one would have a different hardware from the Zenfone 3. Playstation VR will be available this October for Php 22,990

Sony has just announced today at PlayStation VR Asia Conference that the PlayStation VR or the PS VR will be available on October 13, 2016, in the Philippines and it will have a reasonable SRP of P22,900 while the PlayStation VR and Playstation Camera bundle will be available too in the country for P25,290.

 

Pre-order of Playstation VR will start this July 30, 2016, and it will be available at selected Sony Centers and Playstation Authorized dealers.

Samsung has another device for consumers who are looking for a gigantic smartphone and yes, it’s the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. It’s a 6-inch smartphone from Samsung that packs everything that you need on a phablet.

The smartphone has a 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display that looks good for people who loves to watch movies and play games. The smartphone also has a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor and 4GB of RAM for your gaming needs and I’m pretty sure that this one could handle your heavy games really well

 

There’s a 32GB of storage too inside but if you need more, there’s an expandable storage too which gives you up to 256GB of memory and don’t worry, this one has a different card slot from the sim card slot. The battery also packs a 5,000mAh battery for longer battery life and then there’s the fast charging technology of the Galaxy A9 Pro which gives you from zero to full battery in just 160 minutes.

Aside from the Mi Notebook Air, Xiaomi has also announced their newest smartphone that will pack the latest and the best processor from MediaTek, the Helio X25 processor and it’s the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. It’s the new flagship phone of the Redmi line and it also packs some surprises.

 

Aside from using the Helio X25 processor, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro also packs a dual camera along with the dedicated depth of field image processor that lets you have better bokeh shots. The 13-megapixel Sony IMX 258 processor lets you capture still images while the 5-megapixel Samsung camera lets you capture depth information.

Xiaomi has just announced their newest device today and no, this is not a phone and instead, it’s a notebook that is set to compete against the Macbook Air. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3 is not just a normal notebook that is trying to compete against a Macbook because this one got a more powerful hardware

They’ve also announced another notebook that is set to compete with the Macbook. There’s the thin and light Mi Notebook Air 12.5 which is just 12.9mm thin and weighs only 1.07kg and it is running on a Core M processor.

Both notebooks packed an interesting hardware for its price. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3 is priced at RMB 4999 which is around P35,370 when converted directly while the Mi Notebook Air 12.5 is priced at RMB 3499 which is converted directly to P24,755.

Interesting devices but I doubt that it will arrive here in the Philippines and if it does land here on gray markets, I’m pretty sure that these devices would be priced higher than the SRP
