Asiasoft and XSplit partners to bring live streaming studios across SEA

Good news Filipino gamers especially those gamers who are into watching and creating live streaming because Asiasoft, the guys behind Level Up! Games and Splitmedia Labs has announced their partnership to bring production studios across SEA.

 

This partnership will bring eSports broadcast to a whole new level in the country by establishing high quality

XSplit-powered locations throughout the region. XSplit, an online platform for easy live streaming, recording and online video sharing, will be managed at Asiasoft Studios located in Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, where it will run livestream event productions and joint promotions agreed by the two companies.

 

SplitmediaLabs and AsiaSoft will commence their partnership in Q1 2015, with the intention of creating ten live studios by the end of 2015.

 

I hope that this partnership could lead to a better livestream eSports tournaments in the country.

Photos of the next generation of the successful MyPhone Rio are spreading around Facebook Groups. So I saw the leaked photos of the MyPhone Rio 2 and it seems that the next generation of MyPhone Rio will still pack the same quad-core processor and HD display but some of the specs of the phone have been upgraded including the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box.

Ford Ranger 2015 Revealed

Today, Ford has updated their very popular pickup, the Ford Ranger. The new pickup now sports a meaner and bolder design and of course, some new technologies inside it. Some of the noticeable changes in the exterior design of the new Ford Ranger is the muscular hood with trapezoidal grille with projector headlamps. IMO, that design makes the Ford Ranger look bolder than other pickups.

Other cool features in the new Ford Ranger are the eight-inch touchscreen display in where you could see the car’s climate controls, entertainment system, navigation and many more. There’s SYNC 2, which is Ford’s in-car connectivity system that features natural voice commands and you can use to control your car using your voice. Awesome huh? There are also some new driver assist technologies like Lane keeping Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control, Tire pressuring monitoring system, Hill lang assistant and many more.

The flagship smartphones combined glass and metal in its body which made it look very premium but unfortunately, the phones lost the removable battery and the expandable storage. But yeah, both phones still sport an amazing and elegant deign.

Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus Review

Earlier this year, Cherry Mobile has unveiled their most powerful smartphone, the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus. The design of the smartphone is very similar to the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One but this one got a more powerful hardware. Inside this smartphone, you can find a 3GB of RAM and the latest MT6595 Octa-core processor. Wanna know more about it? Check it out after the break.

 

Construction

 

This smartphone sports a very similar design to the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One but this one sports a better hardware. There’s a plastic textured back, which is a little bit slippery. At the front, the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus looks very simple and easy on the eyes. The body is made up of plastic but the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus feels comfortable to use. The buttons were well placed except for the shutter button but it wasn’t really a deal breaker for me.

There’s a 32GB of Internal Storage on the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus and for me, that’s more than enough but don’t worry. If you want to put your media files on the phone, you could opt for a MicroSD card and if you want more storage, this smartphone supports USB OTG.

 

The Cherry Mobile Cosmos One packs a faster MT6595 CPU along with the 3GB of RAM. That amount of RAM is already present on most flagship smartphones that’s why you won’t have a problem in running applications and games on this smartphone. Compared to the previous flagship smartphones of Cherry Mobile, this one now supports NFC and not only that, this smartphone also Dual SIM and LTE however, only one of the SIM card would be LTE capable.

There’s a speaker grill at the back and I feel that it performs pretty bad. The audio is a little bit bass-y and it needs to be louder especially that this is the current flagship smartphone of Cherry Mobile.

 

Display

Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is using a 5.5-inch Full HD display and I’m pretty happy with it. The colors look nice and it wasn’t over saturated and the whites were pretty good. The display looks just right and it doesn’t feel warm nor cold. The outdoor visibility was quite good too and the display is responsive.

 

Performance

Inside the smartphone is a MediaTek MT6595 processor and a 3GB of RAM. There are only a few smartphones that packs this hardware and yes, the performance of this smartphone doesn’t disappoint. When it comes to gaming, you won’t have a problem on this one. Heavy games that you see on the play store runs on this smartphone without a problem.

Same with multi-tasking, since there’s 3GB of RAM, the smartphone can handle a lot of heavy apps simultaneously and when there no running apps, you could see that there’s 2GB of free memory on the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus. Not bad, right? The Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus got a score of 45725 on my test.

 

Battery Life

This smartphone might have an amazing performance but when it comes to battery life, the smartphone has a 2700mAh of battery and at moderate use with Dual SIM and LTE on, I was able to use it for 11 hours and if you’re planning on using this for heavy usage, better bring a powerbank with you everytime.

 

Camera

Aside from its power, another hardware that I love in the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is the 14-Megapixel camera with the Sony IMX 214 sensor. This is also the same sensor being used by Oppo Find 7, Xiaomi Mi 4, Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and the Nexus 6. The photos taken with the camera were great. It was sharp and crisp and colors were very natural but of course, this one can’t match up against the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 4’s camera. Verdict

Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus shows us what will be the future of the companies’ hardware in their future smartphones. We might see more smartphones from Cherry Mobile that packs 3GB of RAM and good camera sensors like the Sony IMX214. Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is really a good phone however, some features like the audio quality and the battery life of the smartphone needs a lot more improvement. We can’t do anything about the audio but for the battery, you could just bring a powerbank or a charger with you.

Windows 10 will be available for free even for Pirated users

Rejoice Windows users! Why? Because not only Windows 10 will be officially available between June-September but it’ll also be free even for pirated users! Holy crap yes! Microsoft’s Terry Myerson told Reuters that they’re allowing genuine or non-genuine users to upgrade to Windows 10 for free! Speaking to Reuters, Myerson said:

 

We are upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10,” he said in a telephone interview with Reuters. The plan is to “re-engage” with the hundreds of millions of users of Windows in China, he said, without elaboration.

 

They also announced some important news like Xiaomi joining the Windows phone family with their Mi 4 running on Windows 10 but unfortunately, only selected users will be able to experience that. Another brand that’ll be joining the Windows Phone family is Lenovo so yeah, Windows family is getting a little bit bigger and better.

Spectre Teaser Poster shows James Bond in classic spy look

Spectre is the next 007 movie that’s expected to be shown in November this year. We’ve seen the stars and even the casts before and now, the teaser poster of Spectre has tweeted by the official twitter page of Spectre. The poster shows James Bond wearing a turtle neck which reminds me of Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan in the previous 007 movies. Nothing much to see here but it’s very interesting that they’re bringing the classic spy look and hopefully, the antics and the awesome gadgets will be there too.
