Strife is now on Open Beta!
Strife, the latest game to hit the country is finally on Open Beta.  The press launch was hosted by Strife’s official Philippine publisher, Playweb Games. Strife is a second generation F2P MOBA game and unlike other MOBA games, Strife focuses more on playing as a team.

So why does the game focuses on playing as a team? Well because the mechanics of the game makes it easier if you play as a team. There’s a gold sharing system and improved match-making system for level playing fields which are very important mechanics of the game and it helps you to collaborate more with your team rather than playing on your own. There are also some cool and unique feature in the game like pets and items crafting.
When I saw Strife at Imperium e-Sports Bar in Ortigas, I noticed Strife’s graphics is similar to Torchlight but this one has much better animations and graphics. The mechanics of the game makes this game different than other MOBA games because if you won’t help your team, you’ll have a hard time winning the game.

Strife is now on Open Beta and you could download the game client and register at http://www.strife.ph.

Hugo Barra, Xiaomi’s Global VP has recently visited the Philippines to launch their newest smartphone that’ll arrive in the Philippines, the Xiaomi Redmi 1s. The Redmi line is the affordable devices of Xiaomi but despite having a very affordable price, the specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S is powerful. It is probably the best smartphone for its price.
The Redmi 1S sports a 1.6GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 Processor and at Antutu, it can reach a benchmark score above 21,000. That score is quite high for its specifications. Normally, most phones with that processor doesn’t reach that high score.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S will be available at Lazada on September 4. I was actually expecting that this smartphone would be price at P7,000 but I was wrong, the SRP of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S is P5,599. Yes. This smartphone is freakin affordable.

Just like the other Xiaomi Products, the Redmi 1S will only be available at Lazada. You won’t have to worry if you don’t have a credit card because Lazada is also offering Cash on delivery and it will only take 1-5 working days if you’re in Metro Manila and 5-10 working days if you’re living outside the Metro.

Gionee Elife S5.5 Kitkat update is now available!

We love the Gionee Elife S5.5 because of its very thin body but still, it packs a powerful performance thanks to its octa-core processor. But some people clamor for an Android 4.4 Kitkat update for the Gionee Elife S5.5 because during its launch, the Gionee Elife S5.5 was only running at Android 4.2. And now, your prayers has been answered because the Android 4.4 Kitkat update is now available for the Gionee Elife S5.5!

It’s an 800MB update and it brings a lot of improvements including a much cleaner UI and updated apps. When I updated my Gionee Elife S5.5, I also noticed my smartphone became faster and more responsive and thanks to that update, I was now able to download applications that requires Android 4.3 and up like Google Camera.

If you’re planning on updating your Gionee Elife S5.5 then it’ll be better if you could back-up files first because, you know, it’s better to be safe than sorry. If you want to update your Gionee Elife S5.5 to Android 4.4 Kitkat, just open the system update app and check for new version.

LG has been teasing their upcoming smartwatch for a few days and it has become official today. Just like the Moto 360, the LG G Watch R is an Android Wear smartwatch with a circular display. Unlike the Moto 360, the LG G Watch R would have no bezels. The specifications isn’t really far from the LG G Watch except for the battery which was increased a bit. The LG G Watch R is also the first to feature a circular Plastic OLED and according to LG, it produces a great image clarity even under sunlight.

Samsung has unveiled another smartwatch running on Tizen and now, it will have a curved display. Not only that, the Samsung Galaxy Gear S will also support 3G. Yep, you can do calls and answer it via bluetooth or just forward it to your phone and reply to incoming messages. There’s also WiFi so you’ll always get connected to your social networks and applications that requires internet.

Just like the former Gear smartwatches, this one would have a heart rate sensor and you could connect it to the S Health on your smartphone. Samsung Gear S also has a turn by turn navigation provided by HERE which was use on Nokia smartphones and there will be a Nike+ Running app on the smartwatch.

LG has announced their new phone that would have a stylus but unlike the LG G3, this one will have a mid-range specifications. The LG G3 Stylus has a 5.5″ qHD display, 1.3GHz Quad-Core Procesor, 1GB of RAM and a 13 Megapixel camera. Basically, the specifications of this device isn’t close to the LG G3 but it has a feature that you can’t found on most smartphones, the stylus. It doesn’t aim to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 since this one has just a mid-range specifications. Just like the LG G3, this one will also feature Knock code, which will enable you to unlock a device with a personalized tap pattern

Cherry Mobile just teased us their upcoming phone which I think will be dubbed as Cherry Mobile Cosmos One. There are no concrete specifications on this phone but I think it will have a very powerful specifications since it was placed in the Cosmos line. My guess? the specifications might be very similar to the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2. You know what, let’s just wait for the official specifications and its price. JAM Online TV: SKK Mobile Phoenix X1, Cherry Mobile Flare S3 & Gionee Elife E7 Mini

It’s an awesome week at JAM Online TV because I just had the chance to play with the awesome Samsung UHD Curved TV and use it for this episode. Yep. it’s a 78-inch Smart TV that has a 4K resolution. It’s freaking awesome man. Anyway, we have 3 new interesting phones coming in our market soon. The first one is the Gionee Elife E7 Mini, a smartphone that features a swiveling camera which is great for selfies. Cherry Mobile also announced the Cherry Mobile Flare S3 which has a very similar specification to its brother, Cherry Mobile Flare 3.  The last one that I talked about was the most affordable Octa-core smartphone in the Philippines, SKK Mobile Phoenix X1.
