realme 11 Pro+ 5G Review

realme Philippines has recently launched their premium mid-range smartphone in the country and it’s the realme 11 Pro+ 5G. The Pro series comes in two variants but the Pro+ only has the one with a 200MP main camera which also means that this one is also the superior one.

A premium design

The realme 11 Pro+ 5G is a big departure from its typical design as the smartphone now features a vegan leather back which can we normally see on most premium and flagship smartphones and then for the Sunrise Beige color that we’re reviewing right now comes with a vertical line with a stylish design along with the stitches that makes the smartphone look more like an expensive bag.

As for the ergonomics, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G is very handy and very ergonomic as the smartphone is easy to hold and it’s pretty light. Since it’s vegan leather, I wasn’t really worried about the back of the smartphone. I also like that they have a large circular camera module at the back of the smartphone.

As for the speakers of the smartphone, this one is just loud, clear and crisp so watching movies and videos on the smartphone was flawless. Of course, the smartphone doesn’t have a headphone jack but it does come with a USB-C port that supports 100W SuperVOOC Fast Charging.

Premium Display

Since this smartphone is placed at the upper mid-range segment, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G packs a display that looks and feels really premium. There’s the 6.7-inch OLED curved display over here with a 120Hz refresh rate. That alone, can compete even at the higher or flagship smartphone levels.

Despite using it for a while, we’ve noticed that there’s no mistouch on the curved display on the smartphone. The bezels are noticeably thin as well and of course, the curves does help in the ergonomics of the smartphone.

Long battery life

As for the battery life of the realme 11 Pro+ 5G, the smartphone comes with a 15 hours and 16 minutes of battery life on PC Mark Work 3.0 Battery test with its 5000mAh battery inside. Again, charging this one wouldn’t be a problem with its 100W SuperVOOC Charging that can fully charge the smartphone in less than 40 minutes.

The smartphone can last up to a day or more in our usage despite playing some games and browsing social media almost a whole day so the battery of this one is pretty good.

Software and performance

realme Pro+ G

As for the software, the smartphone comes with realme UI 4.0 that is based on Android 13. It’s silky smooth and again, not much of a problem and bugs that we’ve seen in here as the realme UI is already matured.

realme Pro+ G

When it comes to the hardware, it comes with a Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset and also a 12GB of RAM along with 512GB of internal storage. That’s plenty of memory on both the storage and also for the RAM of the smartphone. Honestly, I don’t think that you would have any problems with the memory that we have here inside the smartphone.

When it comes to the performance, the Dimensity 7050 chipset performed similarly to most upper midrange segment of smartphones. It might not be the fastest one or as fast as the Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 processors but this one would do just fine for apps and games.

Camera

The camera of the realme 11 Pro+ 5G is the shining gem out of all the features of the smartphone. It comes with a 200MP main camera along with the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Sensor. Paired with that is an 8MP ultrawide camera and also a 2MP macro camera. While for the selfie camera, there’s the 32MP selfie camera.

realme Pro+ G

Without a doubt, the large f/1.69 aperture, in-sensor zoom and also the OIS definitely helps in the shots that we took using the smartphone. Most of shots that we took on the realme 11 Pro+ 5G were amazing and the colors are just right on the smartphone.

While the 200MP does give us more details in our shots, I do not find it practical to use unless you’re really shooting something with a lot of details to cover. As for the night shots, we’re pretty happy with what we got on the smartphone and zooming in on the camera has definitely improved as we still got here more details and sharper edges than expected even when zooming on the smartphone.

Verdict

The realme 11 Pro+ 5G offers a pretty amazing camera and also a really stylish design that feels like almost a flagship smartphone. There are other things to love too including the 120Hz refresh rate curved display and how ergonomic it is.

It might be powerful enough for most consumers but it’s definitely not the most powerful in its range. Nonetheless, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G is definitely a looker and has a good camera.
