EU Mandate will force the iPhone to use USB-C port

Looks like the unthinkable is about to happen as EU has mandated that all small and medium-sized electronics that will be sold in EU by 2024 must have a USB-C charging port. This means that every smartphone that will be released from 2024 must have a USB-C port including the iPhones.

The new law by EU states that member states must have a sustainable to reduce e-waste which will help the consumers as well to have a single charger for all devices. This also means that you won’t have to buy new chargers every time you change your smartphone.

Due to this law, Apple has no choice but to switch to USB-C ports for their devices including the iPhone and their other devices including the iPads.
