Geely Auto Group has officially announced the establishment of Geely Auto Canada, marking a new chapter in the automotive giant’s North American expansion.

The global mainstream brand has already begun building local operations and developing a nationwide dealer network ahead of introducing its first vehicles to Canadian drivers in 2027.

Geely Auto Canada Expansion and Strategy

Rather than rushing vehicles straight onto dealer lots, Geely Auto Canada is taking a methodical approach to establish a durable local footprint. The company is actively laying down retail, service, and logistics networks to support long-term ownership.

Leading the new subsidiary is Bryan Wu, Managing Director of Geely Auto Canada. He emphasized that building lasting relationships with local communities and dealership partners will be essential to earning consumer trust.

The Canadian subsidiary has already launched its official consumer portal at geely.ca. Interested motorists can follow upcoming brand developments and vehicle announcements directly through the platform.

Massive Global Scale and Electrified Momentum

Geely Auto enters the Canadian landscape backed by substantial manufacturing depth and technological resources. The parent conglomerate oversees major global brands including Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Volvo, and Polestar.

In 2025, Geely Auto Group sold more than 3.02 million vehicles globally. Nearly 1.69 million of those deliveries were electrified models, highlighting the company’s aggressive pivot toward green mobility.

That strong sales trajectory has continued into 2026 with over 2.23 million vehicles delivered between January and September. This global scale gives the brand substantial leverage when sourcing parts and engineering vehicles for varied driving conditions.

Canadian Automotive Landscape and 2027 Roadmap

Canada represents an important proving ground for international automakers expanding across North America. Evolving trade frameworks and growing consumer appetite for accessible electrified vehicles create a promising opening for the brand.

Over the next two years, the leadership team will focus on curating a product lineup tuned specifically for Canadian climates and road conditions. This includes validating battery performance in extreme winter temperatures.

With preparations now underway, Canadian motorists can expect further announcements regarding specific vehicle models, pricing, and retail locations as the 2027 launch approaches.
