There’s a leaked iOS 14 code obtained by 9to5Mac showing details of several apple products such as the upcoming iPhone 9, AppleTV, AirTags, and a new iPad Pro. 9to5Mac has proven an excellent source for Apple-related information.
Triple Camera iPad Pro
First of the leaked code suggests an upcoming iPad Pro refresh that will include a new triple-lens camera setup. The camera setup consists of a 3D time-of-flight sensor, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens. The upgrade further solidifies the “Pro” monitor now that the current generation sports a high refresh-rate screen. The inclusion of a 3D ToF sensor suggests the iPad Pro will support augmented reality features.
iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2
Apart from the new iPad, the iOS 14 code includes details about the next-generation iPhone 9. The new iPhone 9 will support Touch ID and Express Transit capabilities. The iPhone 9 is marked as an upgrade for iPhone 6 users since the latter doesn’t support Express Transit. Moreover, the new iPhone 9 or the iPhone SE2 is expected to launch this September. That is if it won’t be pushed back due to CoVID-19.
Apple TV Remote
It seems like the Apple TV is also due for an upgrade. Previous versions of the tvOS 13 code revealed that Apple is working on a new Apple TV product, but further information, thanks to the iOS 14 code, shows a new Apple TV remote.
Apple TV Workouts App
Codenamed “Seymour,” Apple is developing a workout application for the Apple TV, again based on the iOS 14 code. As the name suggests, the app will allow users to download workout guides and is coach assisted via the Apple TV. If you have a full Apple ecosystem, the data will sync to the Apple Watch with Apple Music integration for workout sessions.
