Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Watch 6 Active in the Philippines, bringing an AMOLED display, health and fitness tracking, Bluetooth calling and up to 18 days of battery life to its latest smartwatch.

The REDMI Watch 6 Active is priced at Php2,599 and is positioned as a smartwatch for students, young professionals and first-time smartwatch buyers.

1.85-inch AMOLED display with 1,200-nit brightness

The REDMI Watch 6 Active features a 1.85-inch rectangular AMOLED display with a 390 x 450-pixel resolution.

The screen can reach up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, which Xiaomi says is designed to improve visibility outdoors, including under direct sunlight. It also supports an Always-On Display (AOD) and comes with an updated user interface.

Meanwhile, the smartwatch uses a flat-edge design with a PC polymer body and TPU strap. It measures 44.55 x 39.4 x 9.9mm and weighs in a compact form factor. Its Quick-Release strap mechanism also allows users to swap straps.

Health and fitness tracking

The device includes optical sensors for several health and fitness features.

These include 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking and all-day stress monitoring with guided breathing recommendations.

The smartwatch also carries an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust and water under specified conditions. It is designed to handle everyday sweat, rain and water splashes during activities.

As with other consumer smartwatch health features, these measurements are intended for wellness and fitness purposes and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Bluetooth calling and long battery life

The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth calling, allowing users to answer calls directly from the smartwatch when connected to a compatible smartphone.

Powering the device is a 470mAh battery. Xiaomi claims up to 18 days of battery life under light usage and up to 12 days under normal daily usage.

Actual battery life may vary depending on usage and other conditions.
