Samsung has announced the Galaxy S26 FE, the latest addition to its Galaxy S26 lineup, bringing an enhanced camera system, Galaxy AI features and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display to a thinner and lighter design.
The Galaxy S26 FE is also the first device in the Galaxy S26 series to launch with One UI 9, based on Android 17.

Galaxy S26 FE gets 50MP main camera
The Galaxy S26 FE features a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP wide camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The telephoto camera also supports up to 30x digital zoom.
For selfies, the phone comes with a 12MP front camera with an 85-degree field of view.
Samsung is also bringing several camera-focused features to the FE model. My FanCam, which was first introduced on the company’s latest foldable devices, automatically tracks a selected subject and reframes video as they move.
Meanwhile, Super Steady with Horizontal Lock is designed to keep footage smoother and more level during activities and movement.
Nightography is also available for low-light photography, while Photo Assist lets users modify images using natural-language prompts. Samsung says users can review edits step by step and revise or undo them.
The Galaxy S26 FE also supports Gemini Omni for creating and editing video clips using photos and videos stored in the Gallery.
One UI 9 brings expanded Galaxy AI features
The Galaxy S26 FE runs Android 17 with One UI 9, bringing several updated Galaxy AI capabilities.
The updated Now Brief provides personalized information through customizable briefing cards, including weather and wellness insights. Users can also create their own cards using prompts.
Now Nudge has been expanded to select third-party apps and notifications, providing suggestions intended to help users turn information into actions.
Samsung has also expanded Circle to Search with Google, allowing users to search for multiple items within an image at the same time.
The phone also supports a six-month free trial of Google AI Pro, which includes 5TB of cloud storage.

6.7-inch AMOLED display and 4,900mAh battery
The Galaxy S26 FE comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits.
Under the hood, it is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor, built on a 3nm process, paired with 8GB of RAM.
Storage options include 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
The device packs a 4,900mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. Samsung claims it can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes using a 45W adapter, which is sold separately. It also supports 15W fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Measuring 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm and weighing 193 grams, the Galaxy S26 FE has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance under specified laboratory conditions.
Seven generations of OS upgrades
Samsung says the Galaxy S26 FE will receive up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The device also supports an updated Smart Switch experience, allowing users moving from Android or iOS to scan a QR code and wirelessly transfer data such as passwords and passkeys, call history, accessibility settings and eSIM data without installing an additional app.
