Smart Video Calls powered by ViLTE

Smart Inc. has introduced a new feature that lets Smart and TNT subscribers make video calls without third-party apps, powered by Video Over LTE (ViLTE) technology.

With ViLTE, Smart subscribers can start video calls directly from their phone’s dialer app. Similar to how you are making a regular voice call. The service is charged to the user’s voice subscription, meaning customers with Unli 5G+, PowerAll, or SurfSaya offers can enjoy virtually unlimited video calls.

ViLTE also delivers stable, battery-efficient video calls and allows multitasking so users can browse, stream, or use other apps while on a call. The rollout builds on Smart’s success with Voice over LTE (VoLTE), which enabled clearer, uninterrupted voice calls over 4G and 5G networks.

How to Activate ViLTE

  1. To enable ViLTE on Android devices:
  2. Go to Settings > Mobile or Cellular Network
  3. Enable VoLTE / HD Voice
  4. Toggle ViLTE / Video over LTE / Video Calling to ON

Both users must have ViLTE enabled and be within Smart’s LTE or 5G coverage. The feature also works on Wi-Fi connections.

Smart recommends updating devices to the latest software and using ViLTE-compatible smartphones from brands such as Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Infinix, Tecno, Itel, and ZTE.
