GrabShare is back, but there’s a catch

GrabShare is finally back on the Grab app and you can finally book a car to share it with a stranger just to save a few bucks. This is the first time we saw GrabShare came back to the app since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Unfortunately, not all of you will be to book one because there’s currently a catch.

The service is currently in Beta. You can only book a GrabShare if you’re booking from Makati and it will only be available at 4PM up to 8PM which is perfect for those who wants to go home at rush hour in the middle of Makati CBD.

There are a few things that you should know first before booking one:

  •  A maximum of 1 passenger per booking is allowed
  • There will be no more than 2 pick-ups and 2 drop-offs
  • Your route is fixed and after you book, the pick-up point and the destinated are fixed.

There’s a waiting time fee as well. A 5-minute grace period is provided at pick-up. If the driver is required to wait for more than 5 minutes, the waiting time fee of P50 will be applied automatically.

While for the toll, it will be split among the passengers who pass the toll and are in the car.

You can also cancel your booking anytime before you get the GrabShare ride however, a cancellation fee of Php50 will apply.
