Microsoft Launches New Surface Pro and Surface Laptop with Snapdragon X2

Microsoft has officially introduced its latest Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models, both powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X2 processors. These Copilot+ PCs feature the 80-TOPS Qualcomm Hexagon NPU for local AI workloads and improved battery life.

Surface Pro 13-inch (12th Edition)

The new Surface Pro 13-inch arrives with upgrades across the board:

  • Processors: 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus or 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite
  • Display: 13-inch HDR touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate. LCD for X2 Plus models; OLED for X2 Elite models
  • Memory & Storage: Up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB removable Gen 4 SSD
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7 and two USB-C USB4 ports
  • Battery: Up to 15.5 hours of local video playback

Surface Pro 13-inch Canadian Pricing

The Surface Pro 13-inch starts at CAD $2,149.99 (16GB/256GB configuration). OLED versions start at CAD $2,499.99, with top configurations reaching CAD $3,699.99. Note that keyboards are sold separately.

Surface Laptop (8th Edition)

The Surface Laptop 8th Edition is available in two sizes and these are 13.8-inch and 15-inch. Both featuring HDR touchscreens with 120Hz refresh rates and Snapdragon X2 Plus or X2 Elite processors.

  • 13.8-inch: Up to 20 hours of local video playback, two USB-C USB4 ports, one USB-A port, and a 39W charger. Available in Platinum, Black, Dune, and Jade.
  • 15-inch: Up to 19 hours of local video playback, a MicroSDXC Express card reader, and a more powerful 65W charger. Available in Platinum and Black.

Surface Laptop Canadian Pricing

The Surface Laptop 13.8-inch starts at CAD $2,299.99, with the top Snapdragon X2 Elite configuration (32GB RAM + 1TB SSD) costing CAD $3,599.99. The larger Surface Laptop 15-inch starts at CAD $2,399.99, with the highest-end Snapdragon X2 Elite configuration reaching CAD $3,899.99.
