Oura has announced the Oura Ring 5, its newest smart ring featuring a slimmer design, upgraded sensors, and new health tracking features. The Oura Ring 5 is now 40% smaller than the Ring 4, measuring just over 6mm wide and 2.3mm thick. It is still made from titanium, comes in sizes 6 to 13, and features IP68 water and dust resistance.
Oura also upgraded the sensors with stronger LEDs for improved readings and better consistency across different skin tones and finger types. It still supports heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress tracking, while adding a new Health Radar system for continuous biometric monitoring.
The ring also gets blood pressure signal monitoring during sleep and nighttime breathing reports. These features will roll out to Oura app members in the US, India, and UAE starting June. For activity tracking, the Oura Ring 5 supports over 50 health metrics, including heart rate, pace, and distance for running, cycling, and strength training. However, workouts still need to be started from the Oura app.
Battery life is rated at 6 to 9 days, with charging taking up to 80 minutes. Oura is also selling a separate USD 99 charging case.
The Oura Ring 5 starts at USD 399 or EUR 429, while premium finishes are priced at USD 499 or EUR 529. Full access to its features still requires an Oura membership at USD 5.99 per month or USD 69.99 per year.
