Nintendo has officially revealed the features and some of the games that will be coming to the console. The Nintendo Switch 2 is the next generation console from the Japanese company and it will still retain some of the features that we love from it but they’ve made it better including a magnetic joy-cons 2. But that’s just the start because the Nintendo Switch 2 has more to offer.
GameChat
Basically, Nintendo created their own Discord for the console with a dedicated button on the console itself. This lets you have chat with your friends on Nintendo Switch 2 and even share your screen. If you have the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera which is sold separately, you can even share your face with background removal.
Better hardware
The Nintendo Switch 2 now has a larger 7.9-inch LCD display at 1080p resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is significantly bigger than the previous generation and it will be beneficial for games like Cyberpunk 2077.
There’s a new mechanism for the Joy-Con 2 controllers as well as it is now magnetically attached. It also features a new freely adjustable stand which handles the Switch better and it comes with an addition of a USB-C port at the top for accessories.
The Nintendo Switch 2 also now comes with a bigger 256GB of storage and it now has a new Switch 2 dock that can output at 4K resolution and it comes with a fan for better cooling.
Nintendo Switch 2 Games
There will be a lot of games that will be arriving to the Nintendo Switch 2 but some of the notable ones are Mario Kart World which is now an open-world game, Donkey Kong Bananza, Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild and Legend of Zelda: Tears of the kingdom, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and many more from global devs and publishers such as Hades II, NBA 2K, WWE 2K, the Duskbloods, Split Fiction, Cyberpunk 2077, Street Fighter VI and many more.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to arrive this June 5 in Canada for $629 for the console only while the Switch 2 + Mario Kart Bundle will be available for $699
