The upcoming vivo Y15 series sports an 8MP night selfie camera, ensuring that the device can capture an enlightened beauty against a bokeh or haloing backdrop. In addition, the phone comes with a Selfie Soft Light Band, too, capturing impressive photos in dark environments.

Moreover, vivo teased that the upcoming phones provide a real-time preview of fill light effects and automatic adaptation. This ensures that users will enjoy the best lighting anywhere, anytime.

Intel Core H45 processor review ft. ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16

One of the premium laptops out there in the market is the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and it’s just one of the powerful notebooks from ASUS. For the Zephyrus M16, the notebook comes with an Intel Core i9-11900H processor along with the RTX 3070 inside it. Aside from that, the notebook also comes with a large 16” display which makes it a great gaming notebook made for an on-the-go productivity workhouse.

The advantage of 11th Gen Intel Core H45 Processor

Personally, I’m so excited to review this notebook because the 11th Generation Intel Core H45 processors brings a lot of possibilities including a desktop-class performance on a laptop which will be great for gaming and also for content creation.

So why is it exciting? First, it brings the new Willow Cove Core which is based on 10nm SuperFin tech architecture and it offers better performance and efficiency compared to most chips in the gaming market right now which is why the chip inside the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 can compete in the desktop-class segment.

It also features 20 PCIe lanes directed to the CPU which allows faster speeds and it also comes with DDR-3200 for a high bandwidth memory for speeds up to 3200MT/s. For us content creators, we would really enjoy the Thunderbolt 4 port for a faster bandwidth speed of up to 40GB/s for accessories. This means that if you have accessories like external storage, you can transfer files easily and faster than ever.

It also features an Intel Wi-Fi 6E inside which gives us a better wireless internet connection that can handle more bandwidth and better latency for games. Right now, the 11th Gen Intel Core H45 processors are available in different gaming laptop brands like Acer, Asus, Lenovo Dell, MSI and Gigabyte.

No-nonsense design made for gaming

The design language used by the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is no different from the other ASUS ROG products. It’s clean but at the same time, you can clearly see that the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is a gaming notebook due to the design of the lid of the notebook and of course, the hardware inside it.

As for the chassis, it does have a chassis that fits for a 15” notebook with a 16:10 display but actually, you can find here a 16” display inside thanks to the thin bezels of the notebook and as for the lid, this one comes with a dot matrix design with a prismatic shine depending on the angle. This looks good but not as good as the one on AniMe Matrix LED design on the ROG G series.

As for the palm rest and the look of the notebook, it comes with a matte rubber-like texture that might attract a few oils and smudges but it’s easy to clean and wipe off the notebook. There is a no-nonsense design on the notebook and I do like the large touchpad of the notebook which is perfect for doing some productivity work on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16.

When it comes to the ports, there’s plenty of ports for the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16, first, there’s the audio combo jack, an HDMI 2.0 port, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C DisplayPort/PD, 1x RJ45, 1x microSD card reader, and 1x Thunderbolt 4. Basically, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 got everything that you need in a notebook.

As for the grills and cooling on this one, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 can be quiet but it can also be powerful depending on what you need for the gaming notebook. As for the grills, they are facing on the sides and also on the display of the notebook which tends to result in having a hotter display in the process.

With its dimension of 35.5 x 24.3 x 1.99 cm at 1.9kg, I found this notebook interesting to bring anywhere. It’s not the most portable or compact gaming laptop out there but it’s definitely portable enough for a 16” notebook.

A fine keyboard and touchpad

The ASUS Zephyrus M16 features a keyboard that is fine to use whether you want it for gaming or for casual or office use. It does offer pretty good feedback and the chiclet-style and the size of the keycaps feel great to type on. There’s RGB backlighting too that you can customize using the Armoury crate app of the notebook.

As for the layout of the keyboard, it’s actually pretty good as the keys are fine but the sizes for the arrow keys are small. Aside from that, there are buttons dedicated for the Armoury crate app, the microphone button, and also the volume button just like the other ROG devices.

When it comes to the touchpad of the notebook, it’s actually pretty good as the size of this one is big and it’s very responsive in my usage. Clicking on the touchpad was comfortable as well and it’s definitely one of the best touchpads that I have on a gaming notebook.

Excellent display for gaming and productivity

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 features a 16:10 display along with a resolution of 2560×1600 but the main highlight of the display is the 165Hz refresh rate with a 3ms refresh rate. This means that the notebook can display a smoother and better refresh rate compared to most gaming notebooks out there but also offers a 2.5K resolution. Not just that because this one also comes with an IPS-level display with 100% DCI-P3 level which is why the colors of this one are good and it’s perfect if you love editing videos or photos on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16.

In my usage of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16, I definitely enjoy it when I’m playing games like New World and also Horizon Zero Dawn. The colors are really good and the viewing angles were fine. The brightness was really fine too. Another addition to that is the very thin bezels of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 which is giving us a 94% screen-to-body ratio on the notebook.

Decent battery life

If we’re talking about a notebook with an Intel Core i9 processor and also a 100W Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, a lot of you might think that the notebook won’t last that long on normal usage. I was surprised that the 90WHr can last up to 6 hours on normal usage of browsing the internet and a little bit of work but if you’re planning on using the laptop for gaming, you can expect up to 2 hours on the notebook.

Powerful performance inside

For starters, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 that we got comes with an Intel Core i9-11900H processor inside and it’s paired with a 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM and for the storage, we got here a 2TB PCIe SSD along with an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU that can run up to 100W.

In our Geekbench of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16, the 11th Generation Intel Core i9-11900H processor definitely scored better than expected as we got here a high score. Surprisingly, the Intel Core i9-11900H processor scored this high.

In Cinebench R23, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 got these scores in the multi-score and on single-core benchmarks. The notebook is definitely one of the best gaming processors out there for gaming notebooks as we got here really high scores in the single-core benchmark at Cinebench R23.

In PCMark 10, we got a score of 6879 which is way higher than the one that we got on the ASUS ROG Flow X13 that features an AMD Ryzen 5900H inside.

As for the Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU in the laptop, we were able to run the notebook at ultra settings in different games as expected but of course, we had to run the notebook with 3DMark and check out how good it is.

The RTX 3070 GPU inside the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 just placed well below the RTX 3080 that we’ve tested on the ASUS ROG Flow X13 before but the numbers that we got on the Zephyrus M16 definitely gives us a clue that this one is a very powerful laptop. Not just that, the CPU score also showed that the Intel Core i9-11900H processor is really a beast.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we got really good framerates when we ran the benchmark on the notebook.

In Horizon Zero Dawn, the score of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is pretty high too as we got here an average FPS of 97 on the ultimate quality.

The SSD inside the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is pretty fast too as we got here a 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD inside from Samsung and man, we were able to get up to 7067 MB/s and 5234 MB/s on read and write speeds respectively which is insanely fast so whether you’re installing or transferring files on the notebook, that won’t be a problem for you.

The temps were pretty good on the notebook overall thanks to the handling of the Intel Core i9-11900H processor inside. Not only that this processor is good at handling temperatures but the Tiger Lake processor inside the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 also offers a lot of features including WiFi 6E and also a Thunderbolt 4 that offers up to 40Gbps bandwidth. It also supports PCIe Gen 4 SSD that’s why the SSD speeds in the notebook were excellent.

The PCIe Gen 4 SSD compatibility thanks to the 11th Generation Intel Core i9-11900H processor inside it. This also means that the laptop is capable to run the best and fastest SSDs in the market. These ultra-fast PCIe Gen 4 SSD means that these notebooks will be able to load games faster and transfer media files for content creators.

The Armoury Crate

There’s a dedicated ROG button on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and it opens the Armoury crate app of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16. Its main use is to sync the RGB lights on your ROG products and of course, to have full control over the performance of your notebook.

It also gives you the full outlook on the performance of your notebook and you can even set a profile depending on what you want for your workflow. It’s a cool application and it’s very user-friendly even for first-time users of gaming notebooks.

Adjusting the performance of the CPU and GPU is pretty easy on this one but of course, you can also manually adjust the colors of the RGB keyboard of the notebook depending on your preference.

Verdict

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is a really good gaming notebook but it’s not just that because of the notebook’s clean and sleek design but also because the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 also comes with a powerful Intel Core i9-11900H that decimates the competition and also an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU inside. This combination along with PCIe Gen 4 SSD inside it makes the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 an ultra-fast gaming notebook.

It’s not just aesthetics because the notebook also comes with a 94% screen-to-body ratio along with a 165Hz refresh rate and also a 3ms latency on the display of the notebook which is perfect for gaming and because this one is 100% DCI-P3, it’s also perfect for work and productivity.

The main highlight in this laptop is the powerful Intel Core i9-9900H processor inside which can perform at a desktop level and yet provide efficient power and also good temperatures. It also provides brand new features that we haven’t seen before on other laptops including PCIe Gen 4 SSD and WiFi 6.

As for the cons, well, not that much as we’re getting here a pretty powerful notebook with pretty good hardware inside however, it will cost you a lot as the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 starts at Php129,995. You can get this Intel Core H45 running laptop at Abenson, Electroworld, Gigahertz, Lazada, Octagon, PC Express, Silicon Valley, and Villman.

Infinix Zero X Pro Quick Review

Infinix Zero X Pro is the newest smartphone from one of the growing smartphone brands in the country and it packs a lot of cool features including a 108MP camera and a Helio G95 Processor inside. Despite featuring a premium-looking design and a lot of cool features, the smartphone is still a midrange and an affordable one.

Inside the box

The Infinix Zero X Pro comes with large box and inside, we can see in here the manual, charger, the cable and also a free case and it’s no ordinary case unlike most freebie cases as this one comes with a NOW design at the back with a rubber-like texture

Build and Design

As for the build and design of the Infinix Zero X Pro, this is a far better one compared to the other Infinix smartphones that we’ve reviewed before. At the back, we got here a glitter design in the middle that resembles stars, and combined with the gradient, this is one of the best-looking midrange smartphone.

The smartphone comes with a plastic build but with flat sides similar to iPhones, this one has a lot of similarities to the latest iPhone but it also makes the smartphone too thick for my taste. Nonetheless, the case included in the box does really help in the grip of the smartphone.

At the back is the camera bump of the smartphone and it houses a 108MP main camera along with ultra wide-angle, periscope camera, and an LED flash and below there’s the USB-C port along with the headphone jack.

Inside the smartphone is a 4500mAh battery and it comes with 45W of charging. We were also able to get 10 hours and 2 minutes in PC Mark Work 2.0 Battery Life.

Display

When it comes to the display of the smartphone, the Infinix Zero X Pro comes with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This gives us beautiful and vivid colors on the smartphone and with that refresh rate, we definitely love the transitions and games on the smartphone as they’re really smooth. And yes, they’re really bright.

Software and Performance

When it comes to software, it’s a big improvement over the other Infinix smartphones. Yes, there are bloatware but it is manageable in my usage. Inside the smartphone is an Helio G95 processor along with 8GB RAM along with 128GB of internal storage and for benchmarks, we got exactly what we can expect from the smartphone.

We were able to play different games including Genshin Impact on the smartphone thanks to the Helio G95. It’s very capable of the latest games as long as you set the graphics settings at the right one.

Camera

For the smartphone, it comes with a 108MP main camera and it comes with 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera along with 8MP periscope camera which is used to give us 60x zoom. Check out the shots that I took using the smartphone

The 60x zoom definitely gives us an amazing shot with more details.

As for the other shots, they were really good especially for a midrange smartphone and the colors are accurate. I can’t say that it’s the perfect one but it’s definitely good for my taste. The selfie camera was good as well but it’s not ideal to shoot at low light conditions.

Verdict

The Infinix Zero X Pro is a good midrange smartphone. It has a premium build that I love despite being a plastic one, it has a beautiful design, a decent processing power, and the camera is really great for a midrange smartphone.

It might not be a perfect smartphone but it is definitely a good one in the midrange segment.

The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is Samsung’s newest flagship smartphone that made a mark in the market as it packs a lot of amazing features. It’s also one of the best and affordable foldable smartphones in the market today. I’ve been using it for more than a month now, and I love every bit of the features that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G has.

It’s the sexiest smartphone out there

A lot of people would agree that the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is the sexiest smartphone out there. Why? First, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G comes in unique colors that look perfect on the smartphone, including cream, phantom black, green, and lavender.

Second, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G also features a pocketable design and it measures at 4.2” when folded. So even if you don’t have a deep pocket with you, you can bring and fit the phone anywhere.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is powerful

The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G might look like a smartphone that is made for lifestyle-centric consumers but the smartphone now comes with the same processor as the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G which makes it perfect for running any apps and games on the smartphone.

We’ve played demanding games including Northgard and Genshin Impact and the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G not only managed to play these games at high settings but we also got pretty good frame rates, thanks to the Snapdragon 888 5G along with the 8GB RAM of the smartphone.

Having the latest processor on the smartphone also means you also get the latest ISP which will give you better photos and better computational photography performance and also a better 5G modem inside which can give us an ultra-fast 5G on the smartphone.

Display is even better

Both the foldable display and also the cover display of the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is a big upgrade. First, the cover screen is 4x bigger than the previous generation which will give us more content on the cover display for notifications. And then there’s the 6.7-inch Infinity Flex Display that has been improved.

It doesn’t have an under-display camera but it’s fine with me as it doesn’t sacrifice the quality of the selfie camera of the smartphone. As for the main display, we now have a faster and better 120Hz refresh rate, this means that we can have smoother animations on the smartphone and of course in gaming.

One of the coolest features of the smartphone is Flex Mode in which you can fold the smartphone and lay it down on a flat surface and use it as a tripod. This gives us a lot of possibilities including recording videos without the need for a tripod and for selfies.

As for the cover display, I get less distracted with my work as I don’t need to look at my smartphone every time thanks to the bigger cover display. I can now customize it to see more content on my notifications and I can even use the cover display to control my music and check out the other widgets.

Perfect for selfies

The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G’s biggest advantage over other flagship smartphones is that it is perfect for selfies. Why? There’s the dual 12MP rear camera on the smartphone and then there’s the 10MP selfie camera.

The 10MP selfie camera works fine for selfies while the dual 12MP rear cameras of the smartphone can be used as your selfie camera with the cover display as your viewfinder. You don’t need to unfold the smartphone to take selfies as you can just double tap the power button to open the camera and use the volume rocker as your shutter button.

You can place it on a table and take hands-free selfies and videos without the need for a tripod. This also gives us a stabilized camera when taking night shots or videos.

Tough and water resistant

Another feature that was introduced on the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is the tougher panel layer and protective film. Samsung promises 80% more durable film and it can withstand up to 200,000 folds and also a tougher Armor Aluminum frame. But that’s just the start because the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G now comes with an IPx8 water resistance rating which makes the smartphone the first water-resistant foldable device along with the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G.

Improved ecosystem

Samsung has also been improving their ecosystem with the addition of their accessories including the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Series and the Galaxy Buds2. The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Series now runs on Wear OS on One UI Watch which gives a perfect sync to your apps and for your workouts. You can also now run the Play Store along with Wear OS apps on the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 is available in colorful options that you can pair with the color of your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G.
