Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G Initial Impressions

0

Samsung has recently unveiled their newest smartphone in the market and it belongs in the flagship segment and it’s the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G. The smartphone shares a lot of hardware similar to its older Galaxy S21 brothers, but it cuts some slack to make it more affordable and to belong in the Fan Edition.

First, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G does share a lot of similarities from its brothers including the Exynos 2100 processor inside along with 8GB RAM but where did they cut some corners? First, there’s the 12MP ultra-wide camera and then there’s the 12MP wide camera, and also an 8MP telephoto camera but unlike the other Galaxy S21 series, the smartphone uses a way cheaper plastic back unlike the Galaxy S21.

First, the smartphone comes in a lot of color back colors and it combines the design of the Galaxy S series and also the Galaxy A series. Unlike the Galaxy S series, this one doesn’t have a separate camera module cover as this one uses a single plastic back cover on the smartphone.

Is it bad? No not really. The smartphone still does feel whole and solid and the best part about it is that the smartphone feels very light unlike the other Galaxy S series smartphones. Surprisingly, the frame of the smartphone is metal so it does add to the premium feel of the smartphone.

Onto the front, we’re getting here a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a flat screen and honestly, I really did like it and it’s definitely great for its class. Aside from that is a 120hz refresh rate but unfortunately, there’s no dynamic refresh rate on this one so it doesn’t conserve battery on the display department. And yes, the smartphone features an optical fingerprint scanner on the display as well.

The smartphone uses USB-C with no headphone jack as expected and it still maximizes a 25W wired charging with 15W Wireless Charging and support for Wireless PowerShare. No surprise about that. For the battery, there’s a decent 4500mAh battery inside but of course, we have to fully review the smartphone to know more about it.

As for the hardware inside, the one that we’re getting is still the Exynos 2100 variant unfortunately which lags behind its Snapdragon counterpart but it’s definitely better than the previous Exynos processor that we’ve tested before on the Galaxy S20 series. For the memory, there’s the 8GB RAM and it comes in 128GB and 256GB variants. The processor might not be the latest one but it’s definitely capable of playing games and also the latest apps in the market right now.

As for the camera of the smartphone, it has been downgraded but it’s still on a flagship level so I wouldn’t really complain about the camera of the smartphone. It’s still good but definitely not the best on both rear and front cameras of the smartphone.

Overall, Samsung really did cut some corners to make the smartphone more affordable. Is it bad? No, not really. Yes, the smartphone is now using a plastic back and build but we still got here a solid feel on the smartphone and it’s also lightweight and available in many colors. They did downgrade the camera of the smartphone but it’s still performed well. It’s still using an Exynos 2100 processor but it can still perform on games and it runs definitely like a flagship smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra render has leaked!

0

After a ton of leaks of dummy units and some user-made renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, it looks like @evleaks got the first official render and damn, it looks hot and jam-packed with features.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra does have a design that resembles both the Galaxy S Series and also the Galaxy Note series. It features a squarish design with some curves. First, we now have the S Pen included on the smartphone and probably a slot for it just like the Galaxy Note series.

And at the back, we now have a minimal design for the camera as we now have a protruding camera lens instead of a large camera module at the back and it also shows that the smartphone will pack quad-camera setup along with another sensor.

There’s a curved display but unfortunately, the smartphone still packs a punch-hole camera at the top unlike the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. The probable reason they retain that is to have a better selfie quality on the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G is expected to be unveiled soon.

TECNO Mobile boosts RAM, apps running efficiency with new memory fusion tech

Meanwhile, TECNO Mobile revealed that their new technology would be available for CAMON 18 series and SPARK 8 series in the coming weeks.

TECNO Mobile intros new video recording technologies

0

TECNO Mobile has announced its new video recording technologies: the Sensor Shift and Telescopic Lens.

Its newest camera innovations focus on advances in dark complexion imaging, light sensitivity, image and video stabilization, zoom, and high resolution.

TECNO Mobile to release the first android phone with Sensor Shift

With the brand’s goal to release its Sensor Shift technology in 2022, it will make itself the first smartphone manufacturer to launch an Android phone to introduce the new feature.

Sensor Shift is an image stabilization technology that maximizes sensor movements instead of lens movements to compensate for vibrations.

The technology is seen to reach 350% of the current level of algorithm optimization. Through this, users will capture studio-quality photos and videos with more excellent stability.

TECNO Mobile shares newest innovations for smartphone cameras

0

TECNO Mobile isn’t fooling anyone as it takes its business seriously. The brand introduced its latest innovations for smartphone cameras in 2022, including Sensor shift stabilization, new RGBW sensors, personalized AI algorithms, and more.

IMPROVED IMAGE AND VIDEO STABILIZATION

In 2022, TECNO Mobile eyes to launch the first Android smartphone with sensor shift. The company also explained that it could achieve a response frequency of 5,000 adjustments per second. With this, their new technology can stabilize up to five degrees.

BALANCED RESOLUTION AND LIGHT SENSITIVITY

Counterpoint Research Director Tarun Pathak said smartphones with 200MP sensors will likely enter the mobile market in 2022.

Sensors with a high pixel count allow smartphones to capture more details from the scene. However, the size of pixels on such sensors is usually smaller. As a result, mobile phones capture less light in each pixel, making it hard to get a good image quality in darker settings.

On the other hand, TECNO Mobile aims to balance image resolution and camera light density with their 2022 smartphones.

IMPRESSIVE OPTICAL ZOOM

In 2022, the market can expect continuous optical zoom features on mobile phones. This will allow users to shift between different focal lengths smoothly.

The smartphone market could see this feature in Q2 2022, allowing users to shift between 3x to 5x optical zoom. Moreover, the world could even see 3x to 10x zoom in 2021 through long-stroke motor development and Active Optical Alignment.

CAPTURE MORE LIGHT WITH RGBW SENSORS

While smartphone manufacturers use different tactics to enhance low-light photography, RGBW technology addresses the issue at the sensor level.

Adding white pixels increases light sensitivity by 60%, which means the sensor should absorb more light. In addition, smartphone manufacturers are developing Glass+Plastic lens technology, which improves light transmission.

PERSONALIZED PORTRAITS

TECNO’s TAIVOS signal processing technology recognizes and accurately reproduces dark skin elements. In addition, the company uses a large dark skin database to “produce more than 6,120 Evaluation Scenarios spanning 115 countries.”

With this, TECNO’s upcoming smartphones can intelligently recognize and classify different elements, such as faces and hair color. It can also determine the subject’s age, gender, and skin tone.

GET A SENSE OF DEPTH

TECNO Mobile aims to recognize depth and subject edges in photos. With Time of Flight (ToF) and Dynamic Vision Sensors (DVS) improving, smartphones will better generate 3D models of the scene and detect edges. This will allow for more precise measurements and offer users enhanced and gradual blurring of backgrounds.
