Because it does have a lot of cool features that fit perfectly for a smartwatch. The Huawei Watch GT 2e is proven to be great fitness tracker but how about the other features? So why is the Huawei Watch GT 2e a great smartwatch? Check it out below:

It has a long battery life

One of the main features of the Huawei Watch GT 2e is the battery life and the smartwatch promises a 2 week battery life and in my usage, I was able to use the Huawei Watch GT 2e connected to my Huawei P40 for one a half week. That’s a lot better compared to most smarwatches in the market right now.

Large round watchface

Most normal watches have a round watchface and having a round AMOLED display on the watch makes the Watch GT 2e look like a normal watch. Not just that, we also have here a large display which means that the watch can display more content compared to other wearable devices.

Stylish design

The Huawei Watch GT 2 comes in different design but with the Watch GT 2e, you get a more sporty look with a tachymeter on the sides of the round display. This does add to the sporty look of the watch along with the watchband of the Watch GT 2e which is made up of rubber.

realme 6 Pro Review

0

One of the newest smartphone to arrive here in the Philippines is the Realme 6 Pro. The smartphone is really interesting because not only does the smartphone packs a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor inside, the Realme 6 Pro also features a more powerful camera that is capable of 20x Hybrid Zoom and also a 90hz display which makes the smartphone one of the unique ones below Php20,000.

Realme 6 Pro Review: Design and hardware

The design of the realme 6 Pro shares the same DNA with other realme smartphones. We got here a quad-camera setup at the back but now, we have a flashier design on the pro variant of the smartphone and it does look good especially if you’re looking at for a longer time. The design of the smartphone is really beautiful to look at despite being a little thick for my taste.

Another plus on the realme 6 Pro is the build quality of the smartphone as we got here a Gorilla Glass 5 glass on this which is why I’m not worried about the protection of the smartphone but the realme XT feels more premium compared to the realme 6 Pro. Nonetheless, the realme 6 Pro feels premium to the hand and feels more than its price which is really great.

For the design, it’s very much similar to the previous realme smartphones but this time, we’re getting here a cleaner look as the fingerprint scanner has been placed in the power button of the smartphone that can also unlock the smartphone fast enough for my liking.

For the ports, the realme 6 Pro got everything that you need. We have here a USB-C port that supports 30W fast charging that can charge your smartphone really fast and then there’s the 3.5mm headphone jack which is a plus for me since this is a mid-range smartphone and a lot of people still rely on wired headphones.

Realme 6 Pro Review: Display

The reason why I’m really excited for the realme 6 series is that the smartphones break the barriers when it comes to display as the realme 6 Pro features a 90Hz display refresh rate. This is a game changer for its price range as the realme 6 series is the only smartphone series to sport this feature at below Php20,000.

So the question still remains, is the display good? Yes, definitely. I love the colors that we’re getting on the realme 6 Pro and it’s quite large at 6.6-inch with Full HD+ resolution. For its price, the realme 6 Pro’s display is definitely one of my favorites out there.

Scrolling through the UI and also navigating thru websites is buttery smooth which is really pleasing to the eye thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, the 90Hz refresh rate of the display of the realme 6 Pro doesn’t work on games that we’ve ran but hopefully, realme and the developers can do something about it in the future.

Realme 6 Pro Review: Battery life

We got here a slight upgrade when it comes to the battery as the realme 6 Pro now comes with a large 4300mAh battery compared to the 4035mAh battery of the realme 5 Pro and yes, our experience with the smartphone’s battery life was great. In our PC Mark battery test, we were able to get a battery life of 12 hours and 34 minutes which is already great for a midranger and also for the hardware that we’re getting inside the smartphone.

In our real life usage, despite playing casually on the smartphone in a single day, I can go from 10 AM to 9 PM before running out of juice on the smartphone. Oh and speaking battery, the charger has also been upgraded on this one as we got here a 30W Fast Charger so if you wake up late and you need to juice up your smartphone, that won’t be a problem because charging your smartphone in just an hour or less can fully charge your realme 6 Pro already.

Realme 6 Pro Review: Software and Performance

One of the advantages of owning the realme 6 Pro is the UI that we’re getting in here. It’s actually one of my personal favorites because it’s close to vanilla Android and it’s really responsive. The realme UI has also been my favorite because it doesn’t have too much heavy customizations in its UI and the combination of the 90Hz display and the UI of the smartphone feels really great to use.

Thankfully, it’s easy to adjust to 60Hz if I wanted to conserve battery but there’s an auto mode too in where the smartphone will decide when to use the 90hz refresh rate of the smartphone.

When it comes to performance, the realme 6 Pro doesn’t disappoint because we got here a Snapdragon 720G processor inside. The smartphone definitely got some chops when it comes to gaming as the Snapdragon 720G can handle most games without a problem as long as you adjust the settings of the games that you’re playing. But first, let’s check out the benchmarks of the smartphone:

When it comes to gaming, the realme 6 Pro can handle most of the games really well. Check out our gaming review of the realme 6 Pro below.

As you can see in our table above, the realme 6 Pro handled most modern games really well. Unfortunately, there are some games that aren’t running on 90fps despite having a 90hz refresh rate. But we still got here a 120Hz touch response which is why the display is more responsive than other smartphones which makes the realme 6 Pro great for FPS games.

Realme 6 Pro Review: Camera

The camera of the realme 6 Pro is probably the best reason why you should get this one over the realme 6. First, let’s talk about the camera that we’re getting here on the realme 6 Pro. First, we got here a 64MP GW1 main camera, 12MP telephoto camera, 8MP Ultrawide, and a 2MP portrait lens. The biggest difference in here compared to the realme 6 is that the realme 6 Pro does have a 20x zoom and in our shots, I was impressed with the quality of the shots that we’re getting in here.

Most of the shots that we took on the smartphone were great. The shots that we took are sharper than expected and surprisingly, the ultra wide camera of the smartphone did pretty well but of course, it’s not as good as the main camera of the smartphone as it lacks some colors and a little bit short in white balance sometimes.

Just like the other realme smartphones that we’ve reviewed before, the night mode of the smartphone is really good despite being a mid-range smartphone. For selfies, there’s the dual-selfie camera with a main 16MP main selfie camera and an 8MP ultrawide selfie camera, and the 16MP sensor went fine but you can easily notice that the 8MP ultrawide selfie camera is really inferior compared to the 16MP selfie camera.

Realme 6 Pro Review: Verdict

The realme 6 Pro is an amazing midrange smartphone. It’s one of the best in its price range and it’s definitely hard to beat. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor is a performer and the 6.6-inch display with 90Hz is something unique in its price range and the cameras of the realme 6 Pro can even compete at the Php20,000 price range.

The flaws of the smartphone are just too minimal and easy to ignore and the realme 6 Pro is definitely one of the best if not the best for its price range. I highly recommend the realme 6 Pro for gamers and mobile photographers. The realme 6 Pro just got the right balance for beauty, performance, and price.

The realme 6 Pro is now available for Php16,990.
