Cherry mobile Orbit review
It has been 2 weeks since I borrowed the Cherry Mobile Orbit. Well, Some of my first impressions were wrong. It has been a useful Android device and I fondly love it for some time. Cherry Mobile Orbit combines the two features that most people want, Dual sim and Android. And do you know the other thing I like about this phone? , This phone is affordable.

Cherry Mobile Orbit’s back |
Body, Camera and Construction
The Cherry Mobile Orbit looks like an ordinary smartphone. The body is made up of plastic and it is not that solid compared to other Android phones but it does the job well (And we’ll discuss that later). I got no problems when holding the Orbit, It is comfortable and it weighs just right thanks to the plastic body. The 4 capacitive Android buttons are placed below the screen and I don’t have any problems with that. There are call and end call buttons below those 4 capacitive buttons and I rarely use them but I had no problems with that but they should have remove that. The phone would have been sexier if they remove those 3 buttons below. I like the combination the gray and black color of the review unit I got.
The camera is a bit okay. The 5 megapixel camera records VGA Videos and the image samples are good but not excellent. Here are some images taken using the cherry mobile orbit:
The colors produced were good but there are a lot of noises produced even though I shot this picture at around 6 AM which is very bright.
Here’s a video sample of Cherry Mobile Orbit
For some unknown reason the video is a bit pinkish and I don’t know why. By the way, this VGA video is at 11.70 fps and has a format of .3GP, which is a bit disappointing.
Android, Apps and Dual Sim
![]() |
This is where you insert those sims. Not hot-swappable |

You can name your SIM cards |
Android Froyo powers the Cherry Mobile Orbit that I used. I didn’t experience any crashes but there are a lot of slowdowns that I experienced maybe because of the processor. There are built-in apps by Cherry Mobile including Messenger, shop and music but I rarely use those apps. I use the phone mostly for Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. Yeah, Android market offers a lot of apps for the Orbit. But if you’re looking for a game that requires some GPU’s magic powers, yeah you can download them but don’t expect to play it nice on the Orbit. Another thing that I love in orbit is the pocket wifi. You can use the phone to make it a hotspot. BTW, this phone has HSDPA inside. The thing that set this phone apart from other Android phones is the Dual Sim/Dual Standby feature. You can even rename your sim to anything that you want.
Unboxing and Hands-on
Verdict
Cherry Mobile Orbit is one of the few Android Dual sim phones out there. If you are looking for an Android phone that has Dual sim feature, I suggest that you pick this one. It has a 528 MHz processor, HSDPA, Wifi, 5 Megapixel camera and the unique dual sim feature in an Android. It has a SRP of PHP 9,999.

iPhone 4S unveiled, iPhone 5 nowhere to be seen
I woke up early in the morning just to see the newest product that Apple unveiled this morning. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so magical and there were only a few changes made like the camera and the processor. The 3.5″ retina display wasn’t bumped to 4″ (I wished iPhone 4s has a bigger screen). Some of the new features include better camera, new processor and voice control assistant

Nokia E6 Unboxing and hands-on
A few weeks ago, I give you my first impressions on the Nokia E6. But that was just the first impressions. Here’s the unboxing and a short hands-on of the Nokia E6.
Blogapalooza: This is where Bloggers and Businesses are connected
![]() |
Blogapalooza!. Yeah, you can find my URL somewhere |
2 weeks ago I went to Fully booked at Bonifacio high street to attend the first-ever Blogapalooza. Blogapalooza is an event where bloggers get to meet the businesses and of course, the other way around. There were 50 presenters that are included in Blogapalooza. I arrived at fully booked at around 11:30am so I ate at Krispy kreme before going to fully booked.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the event because I need to finish something at around 4 PM. And I was suppose to get back to the Fort but because of the heavy traffic at Taft Ave. I arrived fully booked at 730 PM.
Anyway, Fully booked was really fully booked. 150 bloggers were invited during that time but the seats were not enough. Some bloggers just stood up just to watch the presenters show their brands in a traditional way — using illustration boards and pictures. Some use powerpoint but most of them just spoke and just show their products.
One of my favorite brand that presented during Blogapalooza is Tripologie. They showcased their different line of bags. And you know what?, I won a bagpack from them. Oh by the way, it costs Php14,500 FYI. They got a branch at Eastwood mall and at Alabang. I don’t know the exact locations but you can find it somewhere there.

Another thing that I liked about Blogapalooza is the handful loot bag. Almost P10,000 worth of items and GCs were given to us in the loot bag. I want to thank Vince Golangco of When In Manila for this event. You said that you guys are not organizers but you guys did an awesome job. 10x Thumbs up for you guys. Oh BTW, thanks to the 50 sponsors of that event. Thanks for the loot bag guys!. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Specs, Reviews and Price in the Philippines
Samsung recently announced the successor of the first Android tablet of Samsung the Galaxy Tab. They quitely announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. This tablet is powered by Google’s Android Honeycomb and it is fueled by 1.2 GHz processor (No specific model but I think they used Samsung Exynos processor for this one). It also supports HSPA+ and telephony functions. It uses a IPS LCD and not a Super AMOLED Plus which was used in Samsung Galaxy S II. I think this tablet will be a lot more cheaper compared to other tablets. Just check out the specifications to know more about the Tablet
