iPhone 5 is coming to Widget City next week!

0

I’m pretty sure that the Apple fanboys will rejoice in this news! Because the most awaited smartphone is coming to Widget City next week! Yes, it’s the iPhone 5. Yeah, the new iPhone 5 packs a lot of new features including a larger 4.0″ screen but even Apple increased the screen size, it will still have the same width because Apple just made the screen 16:9 from 4:3. Anyway, the units came from HK and you can either choose a not sealed or sealed iPhone 5 and obviously, the unsealed iPhone 5 will be much more cheaper. Check out Widget City’s prices for the iPhone 5 after the break

So here it is:

iPhone 5 16GB @ P47,000 (Not Sealed)
iPhone 5 16GB @ P50,000 (sealed)
iPhone 5 32GB @ P56,000 (sealed)
iPhone 5 64GB @ P61,000 (sealed)

I know it’s quite expensive but hey, the iPhone 5 wasn’t launched here in the Philippines and surely there are only a few Filipinos who got the iPhone 5 right now. If you want the prices to go down, maybe you could just wait for some time or maybe wait for the launch of the iPhone 5 here in the Philippines. So what do you think? Are you getting one? If you are interested then check out Widget city and contact them immediately.

Is this the iPad Mini?

0

Do you like Android tablets because they’re smaller and much more affordable than the very popular iPad. Well, this rumour might change your view about the iPad. These pictures came from Bolopad and they just gave us a glimpse of what seems to be the iPad Mini. And according to them, it’ll have a 7.8″ screen. I doubt that Apple will be releasing a 7.0″ tablet since Steve Jobs said that 7.0″ are already dead on arrival (Yeah he said that when he was still alive). 7.8 inch screen would sound good since it isn’t that small and not that big and I’ve tried the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and I think the screen is just great especially to those people who think that 7″ is too small for tablets.

I hope that Apple would consider making a tablet that is below 9.7″ and make it more affordable since tablets are already getting cheaper these days. You can even buy a tablet that’s below five thousand pesos. Anyway, the rumoured iPad mini is expected to have a lightning connector which can also be found on the iPhone 5. No other infos about the leaked iPad mini but I guess, this one would have a widescreen display but I doubt that it will have the retina display because having a retina display on a tablet would mean more pricier parts which will turn to a more expensive tablet. There will be a dual cameras for sure since there’s Facetime and I guess it will have the same camera that can be found on the iPod touch. For the processor, well I hope that this one would be equipped with the latest A6 processor. Anyway, these are just rumours and I can’t confirm anything yet.

Nokia Lumia 920 Specifications and Price in the Philippines: Pureview meets Windows Phone 8!

0
The Glossy Nokia Lumia 920

Nokia recently unveiled their newest flagship phone that features the groundbreaking Pureview technology, the Nokia Lumia 920. The Nokia Lumia 920 doesn’t get the same 41 Megapixel camera just like on the Nokia 808 Pureview but this one has a 8 megapixel camera that features OIS which enables you to have a not so shaky video plus better images. The Nokia Lumia 920 also features a 4.5″ PureMotion HD+  WXGA display which is already quite nice since most flagship phones in the market has 4.3″ or higher screens. The Nokia Lumia 920 also features a lot of glossy colors including yellow but the popular cyan color has been gone. Inside is a 2000mAh battery which is the largest battery that we’ve ever seen on a Nokia phone. Oh and I almost forgot, one of the cool features that’s included in the box is the wireless charger which allows wireless charging (duuuhh!). Well I guess, it’s about time to increase the battery life since the screen got larger which will surely drain a lot of battery. I was kinda disappointed to see a 8.7 megapixel camera instead of a camera equal to or more than 12 megapixel. I know, Megapixels doesn’t define the quality of the image but most people think more pixels means better quality. Oh and I’m quite glad that the Nokia Lumia 920 finally has a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor. I wonder how fast this thing will be since the Single core windows phones are already fast.

Nokia Lumia 920 Specifications

130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm, 185g
4.5″ PureMotion HD+ display 768 x 1280 pixels
Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait
32 GB Internal Memory
1 GB RAM
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
NFC
8.7 Megapixel Carl Zeiss Camera with HD 1080p Video recording
1.3 Megapixel Front Camera
Micro-Sim card only
2000mAh Battery
Microsoft Windows Phone 8

Nokia Lumia 920 Price in the Philippines

The Nokia Lumia’s price wasn’t announced but my guess estimate is that the phone will be priced at P30,000 or more

Apple updates the iPod Nano: New Design and features

0

Update: The new iPod Nano is available in Apple Online Store for ₱8,290.00

So here’s the new iPod Nano. Probably the new iPod Nano won’t be a watch anymore. It has a widescreen 2.5″ screen with Multi-Touch and a home button similar to the iPhone. It comes in 7 different colors. It has a hardware buttons on the side (play/pause and forward/back). It has bluetooth (Yay for bluetooth headsets) and Radio. I think that’s the first on the iPod. It features a round icons and not the same shapes with the iOS. Oh and its looks is pretty similar to the Nokia Lumia too. You can play videos and view pictures on the widescreen multi-touch display. It is available only at 16 GB for $149.

iPhone 5: Larger Screen, Lightning Connector, LTE, New design, iOS6 and Revamped camera

0

The iPhone 5. That’s the name. 7.6mm thin and 112 grams. (DAMN!!!). Finally the iPhone 5 now sports a 326ppi 4″ Retina display 1136 x 640 resolution but still fits in your hand. Yeah, basically a new design and a larger screenThe iPhone 5 also features a ultrafast wireless, basically that’s LTE! Yes! The super duper mega pooper ultra fast LTE is now on the iPhone 5!. There’s a processor upgrade too. There’s the A6 processor (No, that not a A5x which can be found on the new iPad) which is 2.1x faster than the A5 processor. There’s the 8 megapixel camera which was upgraded that features backside-illuminated sensor, five-element lens and f/2.4 aperture. Oh and it can do Panorama! (Sony Ericsson can do that a long time ago! dammit!).

They also have a new 8 pin dock connector they called lightning. It is 80% smaller, improved durability, reversible and easier to use. I guess a lot of accessory manufacturer are scratching their heads right now but don’t worry, there’s a dock for that but of course, you’ll have to add some $$$ for that. The iPhone 5 also features 3 microphones for better and clearer voice and nose cancellation

The iPhone 5 will be available in two colors — Black and White. The white version has a raw aluminum back while the black one has the black anodized backing. And just as expected, the iPhone 5 pricing will start at $199 and the Philippines isn’t even on 1st nor the 2nd wave of iPhone

It’s called the Nano-Sim and Globe just unveiled their Nano-Sim which is expected to be on the next iPhone.
