Cherry Mobile Orbit First Impressions
Cherry Mobile Orbit is one of the cheapest Android phone in the market. It offers the mid-level Android phone features that you need like the 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. The phone also features a Dual sim dual standby feature so you don’t need to make some switches to use the other sim.
So here are my first impressions of the phone. Let’s do it my way, in bulleted form hehe
- The phone is purely made out of plastic
- I like the Dual Sim Dual Standby feature
- The 5 megapixel camera image and recording performance was not that great
- You can’t play Angry Birds, Paper toss, Fruit Slice that well or any graphic intensive games because there is no dedicated Graphics Processor on this device
- The 4 Android buttons are capacitive and just below the screen but I rarely press those accidentally
- The speakers performs fairly
- I get less than a day for its battery life but that’s normal for Android Smartphones
- You can download a lot of apps and games but as I told you earlier you can’t play most of the games because it lacks a dedicated GPU. Some games that you can play are solitaire and other games that doesn’t require graphics processing power
- There are some apps made by Cherry Mobile like Cherry Messenger, Cherry Music and Cherry Shop
- I didn’t experience any crashes on Android 2.2 Froyo
- I use it as a mobile router most of the time and checking my Facebook, twitter and Google+ accounts
- The Browser works well but it lags sometimes and it doesn’t support flash
If you are an Android user who loves hardcore games and apps that need a lot of processing power then this phone is not for you, the 528 MHz processor lacks some power when it comes to hardcore processing. I like the Android OS and dual sim feature of this phone but some of the downsides of these phones are the cheaply made body and sloppy camera. If you use your phone mostly for SNS like facebook, twitter and google+ then you might consider this phone because of the availability of SNS apps. If you’re looking for Hardcore games and long battery life, Well, I suggest that you look for other phones

Nokia E6 First Impressions
It’s been a week since I borrowed the Nokia E6. Nokia E6 is a QWERTY Symbian Anna smartphone from Nokia that features a 2.46 AMOLED with 640 x 480 touch screen equipped with Gorilla Glass. The Stainless steel panels made the phone solid and of course heavy.
- The stainless steel panel makes the phone feels solid
- The AMOLED has a good sunlight legibility
- The screen has high pixel density. I felt that the phone’s screen is small but I was still able to play fruit ninja
- The 8 Megapixel EDoF camera is nice when shooting landscapes and objects faraway but not text documents or object near the camera
- The 1500 mah battery can be removed compared to Nokia X7 non-removable battery
- Some pesky bugs and the things that plague Symbian Anna are in the Nokia E6
- The music player looks nice and the speaker is good but not excellent
- It uses Symbian Anna. The widgets in the homescreen and the buttons are the same in the Nokia X7, they just got smaller
- The 4 buttons are shortcut for email, calendar, contacts and the menu button
- I easily get used to the QWERTY but I felt that the HTC Chacha’s keyboard is better than this one.
- The touch screen makes it easier to navigate
- Multi touch is responsive…..sometimes
- I like the slider button which unlocks/locks the cellphone
- The usb connector slot is different from the charger slot. But you can charge in either way

Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray Specs, reviews and price in the philippines
Another member of the Xperia Family was added this time, it is a 3.3″ Android phone with a specifications almost similar to the other high-end Xperia line. I think this phone bridges the gap between Xperia Arc and the Xperia Mini. This phone also features the Bravia engine and the Exmor R which were also present in the Xperia Arc.
