Nokia Windows Phone 7 Concept |
Nokia and Microsoft recently announced their long-term partnership and many people disagree with it and they said that they should’ve pick Android than Windows Phone 7. But people didn’t realize that Windows Phone 7 is a great OS too and Elop had made a right decision by jumping out of the burning platform
1. It is simpler to use than the aging Symbian and the upcoming MeeGo. Thanks to WP7’s Livetiles
2. With Xbox Live on your handset, it can take gaming to the next level
3. Documents you to review and office work you want to edit? worry no more, Office Mobile is included in every Windows Phone 7
4. There are a lot of reasons why you should love WP7
So is Nokia-Microsoft partnership good?, well my answer is yes. Microsoft made a great OS (which I think needs more time to mature). Let’s hope that we can see that Nokia Windows Phone soon enough,

Stephen Elop, the new CEO Of Nokia have been making a lot of changes in Nokia recently. According to Engadget, the CEO released a memo which gives them a clue that WP7 or Android OS for Nokia phones is possible. And he told a story about a man who is in a burning platform. He told that Nokia is standing in the burning platform too, and that burning platform may kill them.
He compared Apple and Google to Nokia. Apple and Google have been conquering the Mobile industry thanks to Android and iOS. Android have taken the top spot defeating the aging Symbian while the iOS has taken the high-end smartphone spot which leave Symbian plunging in the Mobile OS industry
I think Elop have been making the right decisions. Symbian is plunging because it is almost a decade old OS while MeeGo has nothing to prove yet. Too bad, MeeGo hasn’t even been released yet and they’re dumping it already. The only thing that I don’t like about the Android is that the battery drains too fast while Symbian can last up to a day or more.
Nokia makes great hardware but the OS is too old, I really like the design of C7 because it features a sexy slim profile. If Nokia will really switch to Android or WP7 then let’s say goodbye to Symbian and MeeGo and if this happens Nokia can regain the Top Spot AGAIN.
