Euroo EMS-3000 Review

0

This will be the review of the second speaker that I borrowed a week ago. This is the Euroo EMS-3000, a better speaker than the one I previously reviewed, the EMS-2000. The EMS-3000 features a more modern design. The design of the body reminds me of our couch. And just like the EMS-2000, this speaker is dedicated for PCs, Macs, Tablets and MP3 players

Euroo EMS-3000 Review

What’s inside?
EMS-3000
For Laptop, Netbook, Mac, PC MP3 player
Compact Design for portability

Crisp and Clear Sound
Stereo Sound
USB Powered

Type: 2.0 Multimedia Speakers
Color: Metallic Red
Power: USB Powered
Watts: 2 Watts x 2 (RMS)
PMPO: 30 Watts
Frequency Response: 50Hz – 18Khz
In-Line Volume Control
Terminal: USB and 3.5 Stereo Plug
Speaker Size: 2 Inch x 2
Magnetically Shielded
Dimension: 75x80x60mm

The EMS-3000 is also made up of plastic but I feel that this one is much more solid than the EMS-2000. Yeah, it is pretty solid so I think these speakers can last for a long time. It feels a bit heavier than the EMS-2000 but that is not an issue for me because it is still light and portable.

The back of the Euroo EMS-3000

You can control the volume of the speaker using the in-line volume control but I always max it out and just control the volume using my Mac or my iPod. Compared to EMS-2000, you can’t remove the plug of the second speaker from the main speaker. But I don’t think that those are deal breakers.

It is also powered by USB and there is no included charger for sockets but I think the iPod chargers will do. Audio quality is very nice. It has higher RMS than the EMS-2000 but I barely notice the difference of the two speakers. The EMS-3000 audio was loud, crisp and clear. Just like the EMS-2000, I watched Transformers 3 (Yes, I watched that again) and it was awesome. The gunfights and the action scenes audio were loud and clear. I was even a bit worried because the speaker was so loud at maximum volume our neighbor would be angry hehe.

The In-line volume control
3.5mm Audio jack and the USB Connected on the Mac

Pros: Loud and crisp sound, portable, light, modern design

Cons: USB powered, I rarely use the in-line volume control

You can get this speaker for PHP699.00, a pocket-friendly price. Just add a P30 from EMS-2000’s price and you can get the EMS-3000. It comes in 3 colors – White, black and red. Oh and I like the white one, I’ve been thinking of replacing my speaker at our condo with this one.

Rating: 9.5/10

GTA V Leak details and information

0

Apparently there is this guy who have a NDA(Non-disclosure agreement) with Rockstar and then leaked some information about the Grand Theft Auto V because he is using a proxy and he is on vacation. If you didn’t know anything about GTAV, they just released a trailer of Grand Theft Auto V earlier today. It is set at San Andreas but it will be bigger and much better compared to the old San Andreas. Anyway here are the leaked infos.

  • The protagonist is Hispanic and his name is Adrian
  • It takes place in San Andreas in the year 2012. The Mayan end of the world thing is parodied a lot because of this.
  • You start out in Los Santos and are in your rivals turf. Varrios Los Aztecas after getting beat up and robbed
  • The game revolves around money in a big deal. I’d reveal the big idea but I don’t want to ruin it.
  • Multiplayer is in again. There are a couple of new game modes, co-op story and 32 player game modes for consoles and 64 player for PC, PC also includes dedicated servers
  • Pc comes out on launch and is being ported by Leeds. From what they’ve shown us it is optimized much better than GTA 4
  • San Andreas includes all the same cities from GTA SA and this time they have all become a bit bigger as well as much more detailed.
  • Gang turk wars are back. This time not only the general gang are in charge but different sets such as 57th Ballas or the Eastside Azteca. The have their own graffiti. You can tag up stuff with custom sprays too.
  • In the end your protag dies once again just like in RDR. Afterwards you play as his brother who inherits the money.
  • “The Money” I refer to comes from a massive drug trade that shits to San Andreas. It is fought over a lot throughout the story and it comes with lots of money. It has ties to your family so it becomes a bigger deal.
  • The timeline continues off of GTA 4. It is reference a lot. I’m not really sure whether Niko dies but he’s mentioned at least twice.
  • Car modding is back so is lowriding of course.
  • There are 9 radio stations. It features a range of music. Some of the rap is new, some is old. There’s a better selection than GTA4 though IMO.
  • Military has returned in the 5 star wanted level except they are referred to as the National Guard.
  • Cover system is upgraded and players more smoothly
  • The moral decisions you saw in GTA 4 have more effect on the story now. There are a total of 4 unique endings 2 bad, 2 good. Whether protag dies in all of them you’ll just have to figure out since the endings are actually pretty cool.
  • More girlfriends
  • Parachutes
  • Fun cheats are back!
Yep we got a screenshot of what appears to be the post of the mystery guy here: (click to see larger version)

Euroo EMS-2000 Review

0

Aside from the Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 that I reviewed yesterday, I was able to review the two speakers from Euroo, which are the EMS-2000 and EMS-3000. Both speakers come in small size and they are dedicated for laptops, PCs and other MP3 Players. In this post, I’ll give you the short review of the EMS-2000

So what’s inside this baby?

EMS-2000
Multi Media Speaker System
Crisp and Dynamic Sound
For Laptop, Netbook, PC, Mac and MP3 players

Type: 2.0 Multimedia Speaker
Color: White/Blue
Power: USB Powered
Watts: 1.5Watts x 2 (RMS)
PMPO: 30 Watts
Frequency Response: 60Hz – 18Khz
Built-In Volume Control
Terminal: USB and 3.5 Stereo Plug
Speaker Size: 2 Inch x 2
Dimension: 78x82x91mm

The EMS-2000 is made up of plastic and its design is quite identical to other speakers in the market. I like the design and I don’t feel that the body of the speaker won’t break up easily. The weight? Don’t worry it’s too light to carry. The EMS-2000 is great companion when you’re traveling with your laptop

You can control the volume of the speaker at the back of the main speaker but I rarely use that because I always use my iPod’s control volume or my Macbook Pro’s keyboard shortcut. If you want to use just one of the speaker, you can remove the plug of second speaker from the main speaker but I don’t think that you would do that.

The volume knob and the audio out
back of the 2 speakers

The problem that I have with these speakers are that the wires are always tangled but you can always fix that anyway. Another problem that I have with this is that it is only powered by USB, nope, you can’t plug it in your sockets but I think you can use a adaptor just like the charger iPod. But that is not included. As for the audio quality, yes, they are good for its size. I did not expect that loud sound on a small speaker like that. Tried this when I watch the Transformers 3 in HD and it was good, the explosions and gunfights. All of it is awesome. These speakers just prove that big things come in small packages.

Yep, that’s USB Powered and that’s the 3.5mm audio jack

Pro: Loud and crisp sound, portable, light,

Cons: Common Design, USB powered

You can get this speaker for P669.00. Very affordable isn’t it?. Oh and it comes in 2 colors! black and white!. Great for laptops and tablets, better than any other portable speakers.

Rating: 8.8/10

oh they have other products too, just check out their Facebook page
Thanks Philippe Gadgets and Accessories for lending me a review unit

Stay tune for the review of EMS-3000, which I think is much better than this.

Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 Review — The headphone you’ll fall in love with

0
the Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 review

Having a good headphones is very crucial to DJs and people who creates and mixes videos and audios.  And when it comes to headphones, Audio-Technica is one of the best brand you should consider.  Today, I’ll give you a short review of the Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2, one of the best headphones for DJ in the market right now.

So what is the tech specs of this headphone?
Type: Closed-back Dynamic
Driver Diameter: Ø53 mm
Magnet: Neodymium
Frequency Response: 5 ~ 35,000 Hz
Maximum Input Power: 3,500 mW
Sensitivity: 106 dB/mW
Impedance: 38 O
Weight: 305 g
Cable: 1.2m Coiled Cord (Max. 3.0 m) and 1.2 m Straight Cord
Connector: Ø6.3 / Ø3.5 mm gold-plated stereo plug
Accessories (Optional): Carrying pouch, Detachable cable x 2, 6.3mm adapter
The logo of Audio-Technica at the upper part of the headphone

Honestly, Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 is one the best headphones I tried so far. I’ve tried a lot of headphones before and Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 is on my top 5 on my must-have headphones list. The packaging is so awesome, it took some time to figure it out how to open the package hehe. Inside this package are a small pouch for the headphone, 1 coiled wire for DJ use and a straight wire for home and street use. Oh and there is a 3.5mm to 6.3mm converter on the coiled wire so no worries about headphone jacks, you can use it anywhere.
Nice package isn’t it?. Oh just nevermind the things behind it!

Build
This headphone is a bit heavy for me. But hey, with those specs I believe that this weight is worth it. The headphones is made purely out of black and silver color. This gives the headphone a more professional look. There is an Audio-Technica logo earpiece so you can brag about that it and yeah, The logo is cool and stylish.

The Audio-Technica Logo at the earpiece

The headphone is sturdy and solid so I think whatever you do, it will not break easily.  Oh and about the comfort?, You’ll love the soft padding of the Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 but when you use it for an hour, sometimes your ears and cheek bones will be numb for a bit.
Cables
There are 2 included cables in the box, a coiled one and a straight cord. Both cords are 1.2m but the coiled cord can be stretched up to 3.0m and both ends of the coiled cord can be screwed with the Ø6.3 mm stereo-plug while the other end can be screwed to the headphone so it won’t be easily trip unlike any other headsets and headphones. The straight cord is for street use, only one end of it can be screwed while the other end is just 3.5mm audio jack and no, you can’t screw the Ø6.3 mm stereo-plug. When it comes to length, the cable is just right for me, even if you’re a tall guy. Just like the headphone’s body, the cable is solid and so thick so I don’t think that you can break or torn it easily compared to the plain old white headset of the iOS products.
The 3.5mm audio jack where you can screw the 6.3mm plug

The coiled wire

Both ends of the coiled wire with the 6.3mm plug

This is where you screw your audio jack

Audio Quality
I use this headphone everyday for 2 weeks and I must say that the quality is superb. The 53 mm driver suffice my audio needs. But I felt that it lacks some bass but the quality is still impressive. I tested this headphones by playing some FLAC files and of course my personal favorite, John Mayer songs. I also watched a HD movie using this headphone. And yeah, the explosions, the gunfights and all of the things that is similar to that were awesome. (Yeah, I watched Transformers 3 with this headphones). And just like what I told you earlier, it is very impressive. A must have for DJs.
the 53 mm drivers

yes, you can do that to your headphones

The pouch

Inside is the headphone

Verdict
Pros:
Nice packaging, 2 included cables, pouch, very comfortable padding, professional look and nice audio quality

Cons:
Expensive and heavy
All in all, I love this headphone. I wish that I own a headphone like this. For its price, I think it is really worth it. I recommend this headphone for people who loves music so much but beware, this headphones has a hefty price tag. You can get it for P12,499.00.

Rating 9.5/10

HTC Titan Specs and Price in the Philippines — HTC thinks that your Galaxy SII is too small

0
The Giant Windows phone — HTC Titan

Do you think that your Samsung Galaxy S2 or HTC Sensation is too big for your hands?, then think again because HTC just offered the largest Windows Phone 7 right now, the HTC Titan. You know, HTC thinks that your 4.3″ smartphone is too small so they created a giant phone again. This time, the Super LCD screen measures 4.7″. I don’t recommend this phone for heavy texters especially for those people with small fingers. I already find it difficult to text in portrait using one hand on a 4.3″ screen. I always use the landscape QWERTY mode to text on that screen that large. Anyway, this phone has a single-core processor compared to the dual core processor of its Android cousin, the HTC Sensation. You might be wondering why they choose that processor, maybe because Windows Phone 7 limits the use of only a single core processor. I think you should wait for Windows phone 8 or Apollo update before you can see a dual-core processor Windows Phone. Oh and did I say that this phone has a great camera?, yeaaaah! f2/2 my friends!, you can now replace your busty point and shoot cameras!

HTC Titan Specifications
1.5 GHz Scorpion processor with Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset
131.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm,160 g
480 x 800 pixels, 4.7 inches Super LCD
