One of the devices I got a chance to play with during the Nvidia event is the superphone LG Optimus 2x. It is equipped with Tegra 2 that’s why it’s fast and the 3D graphics were great. Yes, it’s not a smartphone but a superphone.

As I told you before, there are a lot of things that you can do with the Samsung Smart TV. Since this is a Smart TV, we can do a lot of things with it. Well here are more things that I can do with it.

1. View your pictures and videos on your thumb drive. Browse your memorable pictures and those priceless videos in your thumb drive. Oh and those videos?, convert them into 3D using the 2D-3D feature of Samsung Smart TV

2. Be a couch potato and watch your Blu ray movies in full glorious in 3D or HD. You don’t even need to get your laptop or your cellphone because you can get in touch with your social networking accounts thanks to the Social Hub. It allows you to check your FB and post your tweets

3. Download apps from the Samsung apps. Get addicted with apps with the samsung apps which offers you

The first thing I do when I woke up is to check my email, facebook and twitter. And when I visited twitter.com earlier, I notice that the they had a new homepage. I don’t know if this is new because I’ve been using twitter for mac whenever I check my twitter account.

The new twitter homepage is almost similar to facebook homepage. They place the log-in form on the same position which is on the upper left. Anyway, the new home pages looks clean and sleek

I was invited at Nvidia editor’s day event yesterday and they talk about the power of Nvidia products like GeForce, Tesla and of course Tegra 2. I got also a chance to play with some Tegra 2 devices yesterday including the Motorola Xoom, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Acer Iconia Tab.

One of the advantages of the Tegra 2 is the better web experience. It loads flash and almost everything just like in your desktop computer. Tegra 2 delivers you the full web on the palm of your hand. Can you imagine that?. Oh, did I say that the HTML5 loads the fast on the Tegra 2 than the others?. I’ve tested it myself using the Motorola Xoom and flash content on my site loads fine with no crashes.

The dual core Tegra 2 also allows you to multi-task faster. It is almost 2x faster than the others. It means that you can check your Facebook and play your favorite games without experiencing too much slowdowns.

Tegra 2 is also a gamer’s bestfriend. The graphics quality on the Tegra 2 is better than just take a look on the picture below:

Globe launches 4G Mobile: First in the Philippines

I am pleased to announce to you that 4G technology was launched first by Globe. 4G is the 4th generation of the cellular wireless standards and obviously, it will be faster than 3G.

This rollout, the first phase of which utilizes the global standard HSPA+ or Evolved High-Speed Packet Access. It means that the theoretical download speeds can reach up to 21 mbps with upgradeability for 84Mbps. In Globe HSPA+ network, subscribers are expected to enjoy browsing at an average speed of 4-6 Mbps with even faster peak speeds.  Other 4G technologies include LTE or Long term evolution and WiMax. Last November 2010, Globe completed field trials of 3GPP LTE together with the SingTel Group and NEC Corporation.

Many places across Metro Manila is covered by the Globe 4G technology which includes Marikina, Quezon City, Makati, Pasay, Las Pinas, Taguig and the City of Manila. By the end of this year, Globe expects to increase the 4G presence and it is planned to increase its expansion in 2012.

Globe has already made 4G available in over 1,500 sites in nearly 60 provinces across the Philippines, which covers 365 cities, including Manila, Caloocan, Cainta, Antipolo, Taytay, Plaridel, Cabanatuan, Dasmarinas, Bacoor, Imus, Tanza, Calamba, Batangas City, Cebu City, Cagayan De Oro, and Zamboanga.

I’ve been a globe user for 6 years and I hope when I get a 4G device, they won’t fail me when it comes to speed and reliability. You can’t fully utilize the 4G if you’re device doesn’t support it. It means that your device must be 4G ready. I’m glad to say that the bandwidth capping isn’t applicable on the Globe 4G
Now that the Globe 4G has been launched, what are the things that we can do with Globe’s 4G network?

Symbian^3 Anna update: All new cool features

Remember the Nokia event?, I know this post is a bit late. Anyway, The Symbian^3 Anna update features a cool new browser, new icons and a lotta more. Well, the update isn’t available

The new icons looks awesome but I can’t comment on the browser yet since I haven’t tested that but according to Nokia Conversations the Javascript loads 30% faster and scored 111 out of 400 in HTML5 test. The QWERTY portrait keyboard allows them to type faster and browse faster thanks to the Anna update.

The OVI Maps which I believe is the best has been updated too. I don’t know if they already integrated that with bing. Social and OVI suite are also improved. The update will be available in the coming months. It will be available on N8, C7, C6-01 and E7

Top 5 Games for the Xperia Play

Remember the Xperia Play games list?. I pick the top 5 games. Some of the games are exclusive on the Xperia Play while the others are already present in the iOS and ported it to the Xperia Play. I don’t have a Xperia Play or even touch one but I can tell you some of the games which I think is very cool.


 1. Syphon Filter


Most of you might be familiar with this game, one of the best games I played in the PS one. I played this game way back when I was a kid. Yeah, it was an awesome game back then. Anyway, it’s still a great game. I hope they can port more games to the Xperia Play soon.

2.  Age Of Zombies


Age of Zombies is one of addicting and the best games that invaded the PSP Minis. It has invaded the iOS platform too but this time they’re invading the Xperia Play. Same fun. same game. different platform.

3. Battle Bears -1

Battle Bears is also available on the iOS and the Mac Appstore. This game is similar to Age of Zombies, but in here, you just shoot bears and kill all those bears before they hug you. Well, it’s really addicting. Try this one if you have a Mac, Xperia Play or iOS device.

4. Dungeon Defenders


Dungeon Defenders is powered by the Unreal Engine Technology and is one of popular games right now. The game is already awesome in the iOS and now it has been ported to the Xperia Play, the awesome mobile gaming device.

5. Backstab

Backstab  is game by Gameloft exclusively for the Xperia Play for 1 month. It is a game set in the 18th century Caribbean. It features a 3D graphics which I think is awesome.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play isn’t available yet in the archipelago but I will be grateful if they can send me a review unit hehe. Check out the specifications if you’re interested. They said that it will be available on Q2 2011.
