Do you have the talent to create music? Do you love Nokia’s ringtone?. Then why don’t you create the remake of Nokia tune. I’m sure most of you know that since Nokia is the most popular phone here in the Philippines.
Nokia, together with AudioDraft, world experts in crowdsourcing audio creation,are looking for a tune that is fresh, expressive, original and creative, yet distinctively Nokia. Entrants are encouraged to experiment with both old and new Nokia Tunes and can also create their own musical parts, sounds and arrangements.The tune should be a maximum of 30 seconds in length and the deadline for submission is October 2, 2011. The five most voted or ‘liked’ entries will qualify as finalists. A further five finalists will be selected by the jury who will then ultimately select one winning entry from the ten finalists. The winning tune will be included in select models within the company’s 2012 product portfolio,an estimated 100 million devices. In addition, the winning tune will be made available on Ovi Store and featured in Nokia’s Brand Book. The winner will also be awarded a prize of 10,000 USD.

Samsung recently announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 at IFA 2011 a few days ago but today, they pulled the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 booth at IFA 2011. Demo units, promotional materials and posters were also pulled down. Why? because Samsung complied the decision of Düsseldorf Regional Court court that banned sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Samsung also confirmed that and they said that they respect the decision of the court. Nice move Apple, prepare for the revenge of Samsung.
If I’ll have another PC laptop, I would buy the Lenovo U300s. FYI, Lenovo U300s is another ultrabook that will be in the market in October. Ultrabooks are thin laptops powered by 2nd generation intel processors. The Lenovo u300s is powered by the latest Intel processors and the laptop is only 14.9 thin. Some of the features that I like are the big touchpad which is made of glass, long battery life which is up to 7 hours, full aluminum shell and a very fast booting time. Another variant of Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo has been announced recently at IFA 2011, Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V. The only difference that you can see from the Original Xperia Neo and Xperia Neo V is the downgraded camera to 5 megapixel and the Exmor R was gone too. And yes, it will be available in the Philippines. So another tablet will be on the market soon but this time, it is from Amazon. They’re the one who introduced to us the Kindle E-reader. Now, they have created another tablet base on Google’s Android.
Hardware• Full color 7-inch touchscreen.
• Unlike the iPad, it will probably only support two finger multi-touch, not ten fingers.
• It apparently has one single-core processor.
• Maybe only 6GB of storage—possibly more cloud oriented
• No physical buttons on the front
• No camera
• Rubberized back, like the BlackBerry PlayBook.
Software• It’s built on a forked version of Android (apparently older than 2.2), but there are no visible Google apps of any kind—you’ll be able to get Android apps through Amazon’sappstore• It has Apple Cover Flow-ish user interface, with all the content—books, movies and music—showing in a carousel. The UI is “very responsive,” unlike the Nook Color.
• In portrait mode, it has a dock where users can add their favorites. It hides in landscape mode.
• The book reader app is much like the iOS and Android Kindle app.
• The music app connects to Amazon Cloud.
• Logically, the Amazon Kindle will provide a storefront for the whole of Amazon (I imagine this looks a lot like the Amazon Window Shopping application on the iPad).

Samsung just made another interesting product, this time it’s a Smartphone + Tablet + Notebook. Yes, a notebook, they just brought the stylus back to the touch screen industry. It’s kinda interesting because most companies already decided to dump stylus. With the 5.3″ screen, I think Samsung Galaxy Note is planning to take on the Dell Streak 5 which has a 5″ screen with smartphone capabilities.
