Amazon has officially unveiled its new Alexa devices for 2026, introducing five purpose-built smart home products designed to make everyday household routines simpler. The refreshed family is powered by the next generation of Alexa+
The new lineup includes the flagship Echo Show 16, Echo Studio with Home Camera, Echo Time smart clock, Alexa Photo Frame, and a redesigned Echo Dot.
Echo Show 16 Debuts with 16-inch Display and Fire TV
Leading the announcement is the all-new Echo Show 16, featuring a 16-inch display housed in an anodized aluminum frame that is nearly 40 percent thinner than previous generations. Buyers can select a standard display or an optional Nanomatte anti-glare finish that cuts reflections by over 90 percent.
Audio is handled by a redesigned sound architecture incorporating eight micro woofers and two tweeters with Advanced Room Adaptation. Video calls and surveillance are managed by a 13MP wide-lens camera with auto-framing, night vision support for the first time, and Visual ID recognition up to 17 feet away.
The display introduces three dedicated Screen Styles for Smart Home management, Family Organization, and digital photos. It also integrates a complete Fire TV streaming interface with a bundled remote control.
Echo Studio with Home Camera Adds Contextual Vision
Amazon has enhanced its top-tier smart speaker with the Echo Studio with Home Camera, combining acoustics with spatial visual intelligence. Alongside its high-excursion woofer and Dolby Atmos spatial sound, the speaker now houses a built-in camera to understand room context.
Alexa can now identify physical objects held up by users, such as board game boxes to explain rules or grocery items to initiate reorders. Users can also view their room remotely via Live View or link the speaker to Fire TVs for big-screen video calling.
Echo Dot Adds Built-In Smart Home Hub and Eero Wi-Fi Mesh
The compact Echo Dot receives its biggest functional overhaul yet, as it incorporates a built-in smart home hub for the first time. The device connects directly to compatible smart lights, locks, and thermostats without requiring auxiliary bridges.
It also features a built-in eero Wi-Fi mesh extender, expanding home wireless coverage by up to 1,000 square feet. Powering the speaker is custom AZ3 silicon with an on-device AI Accelerator that reduces latency and delivers 50 percent deeper bass output.
Echo Time and Alexa Photo Frame Elevate Bedside and Wall Spaces
For the nightstand, Amazon introduced Echo Time, a camera-free smart clock equipped with customizable watch faces and Omnisense sleep sensing. The clock monitors sleep cycles to wake users gently during lighter sleep phases within a 10 to 60-minute window, complemented by a gradual sunrise lighting effect.
Complementing home decor is the Alexa Photo Frame, sporting a 10-inch anti-glare touchscreen. Connected directly to Amazon Photos, it utilizes AI to curate smiling portraits and seasonal moments while automatically filtering out accidental screenshots and clutter.
