Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series, introducing the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. The new flagship tablets combine an thin chassis with performance upgrades, deeper Galaxy AI integration, and longerbattery life.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Sets Benchmark with 5.1mm Body and 1,600-Nit AMOLED
At just 5.1mm thin, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra make Samsung’s slimmest tablet to date. Despite its thin profile, the device retains an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, matching the durability of the S Pen.
The Ultra model features a14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ carries a 12.6-inch panel with reduced bezels. Both screens achieve up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness and utilize upgraded Vision Booster technology for comfortable outdoor visibility.
Flagship 3nm Silicon and All-New 3D Vapor Chamber Cooling
Both tablets run on a next-generation 3nm flagship processor engineered for heavy multitasking and on-device machine learning specifically the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. Samsung notes a 61 percent boost in NPU processing, 19 percent faster CPU performance, and a 17 percent gain in graphics power over the previous generation.
To sustain these performance ceilings during prolonged rendering or gaming sessions, Samsung integrated a newly engineered 3D Vapor Chamber. This custom thermal system dissipates heat across larger surface areas to prevent thermal throttling.
All-Day Battery Endurance, 45W Charging, and Quad Spatial Audio
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra provides up to 23 hours of continuous video playback from its battery, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ delivers up to 21 hours on a single charge.
Both models support 45W fast charging, refilling the battery from flat to 100 percent in approximately 95 minutes. In addition, the entertainment experience expands through an upgraded 4-channel spatial audio system with double the acoustic channels of the previous generation.
One UI 9 with Galaxy AI and Preloaded Adobe Photoshop Suite
The tablets launch running Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box, backed by a commitment of seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches. Users can split workspaces into a flexible three-pane Multi Window layout to research, draft notes, and consult AI assistants simultaneously.
Creative workflows gain a major boost with Adobe Photoshop preloaded for Android tablets for the first time, featuring Adobe Firefly generative tools and four months of complimentary mobile access. Buyers also receive six months of Google AI Pro access with Gemini Advanced, alongside trials for Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion, and Clip Studio Paint.
