Samsung has quietly unveiled the Galaxy A18 4G in select European markets, introducing a modest hardware refresh to its entry-level smartphone lineup.

Available initially in France, Norway, and Sweden, the phone carries an upgraded IP64 rating for dust and splash protection. It also promises six years of major operating system updates alongside six full years of security patches.

Exynos 1610 processor and 90Hz Super AMOLED display

Under the hood, Samsung has replaced the MediaTek Helio G99 found on the Galaxy A17 with its in-house Exynos 1610 chipset. The silicon is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the standard configuration, with a dedicated microSD slot for memory expansion.

Up front, users are greeted by a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen featuring a FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a fluid 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung has opted to keep a classic U-shaped notch at the top to house the 13MP front-facing selfie camera.

Powering the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery rated to withstand up to 1,200 full charge cycles over its lifespan. It supports 25W wired fast charging, capable of replenishing the cell from empty to 50% in roughly thirty minutes.
