Lenovo introduced its first gaming tablet, the Legion Y700, last year, and now details about its successor, the Legion Y700 2023 (tentative name), have emerged.

This upcoming gaming tablet is expected to come equipped with an updated Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and up to 16GB of RAM, providing enhanced performance for gaming enthusiasts.

The Legion Y700 2023 will feature an 8.8-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels, carrying over the same screen size and resolution from its predecessor. However, an exciting upgrade is the introduction of a faster 144Hz refresh rate, surpassing the previous model’s 120Hz. This improvement will deliver smoother visuals and enhance the overall gaming experience.

Maintaining the power efficiency of the previous model, the Legion Y700 2023 will retain its 6,550 mAh battery capacity. Users can expect a reliable battery life for extended gaming sessions. Additionally, the device will support 45W wired charging, enabling quick recharging to minimize downtime between gaming sessions.

ROG Ally to launch in PH on July 20

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the official launch date of its first-ever handheld gaming device, the ROG Ally, in the Philippines.

ASUS ROG will officially launch the ROG Ally in the Philippines on July 20 at 6PM. Consumers can watch it live via the ROG Philippines Facebook page and witness how it can empower them #playALLYourgames.

In case you missed it, the new ROG Ally comes with the new AMD Ryzen Z1 Series processor. With this, it offers 120Hz FHD gaming on the go without any hassle. And since it runs Windows 11, it can play any game for any platform with the option to play solo, connect to a TV for some gaming with friends, or level up with the ROG XG Mobile suite GPUs for that top-tier gaming experience.

The Ally also introduced the ROG Zero Gravity thermal system, which uses a dual-fan system with ultrathin heatsink fins and high-friction heat pipes to ensure the Ally stays cool in any orientation. Equipped with 16 GB of high-speed LPDDR5 6400 MHz memory, 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and a UHS-II microSD card slot to further expand its storage capacity.

To officially launch this milestone, the Republic called on the streamer, gamer, and ROG Ambassadress, Dexie Diaz to welcome the arrival of the ROG Ally on July 20, 2023. Witness as she showcases the versatile performance of this handheld, may it be for Me Time, Pro Time, or even We Time.

MediaTek has just announced today the new Dimensity 6000 series chipset from the company and it is made for the mainstream 5G devices which means that it’s meant for the affordable devices.

The Dimensity 6100+ SoC is the first in the series and it offers power efficiency, AI technologies and a Sub-6 5G connectivity and the best part about it is that it offers an affordable price point.

The Dimensity 6100+ chipset offers enhanced 5G modem and it also features 2x Arm Cortex-A76 big cores and 6x Cortex A-55 efficiency cores with support for AI-powered cameras and also 10-bit displays.

Other features that we can expect from Dimensity 6100+ includes 108MP Non-ZSL camera support, 2K30fps video capture, UltraSave 3.0+ for reduced 5G power consumption, AI-bokeh camera features, a 10-bit display support with up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The first Dimensity 6100+ chipset will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
