These are the reasons why I love driving the Peugeot 2008 SUV

0

Cars are getting cooler these days as most of them pack an edgier and better design but not all of them come with the safety features that we need on a car. And if you’re looking for something smart and also safe then the Peugeot 2008 SUV should be on your list.

We used the Peugeot 2008 SUV for a week and we definitely loved it as their SUV is powerful, beautiful, and also packed with a lot of features. So what are the top features that I loved about the Peugeot 2008 SUV?

Sexy and sporty design

One of the things that you’ll definitely notice about the Peugeot 2008 SUV is its design. Whether you’re an SUV or sedan lover, you’ll definitely love the design of this car because it features the sleekness of an SUV but also a sporty design as well.

The front of the Peugeot 2008 SUV features a sporty look and combined with those LED lighting, the car looks more like an SUV than a hatchback compared to the previous generation. The current generation of Peugeot 2008 SUV features a more mature and cooler design.

While this one is smaller than its bigger brothers — the Peugeot 3008 and 5008, this car still does have enough legroom at the back and it does have large space for your items, whether we’re talking about boxes that need to be in the trunk or just some items that need to be on your side and on the glove box.

At the back of the Peugeot 2008 SUV, the three-claw LED rear tail lights are prevalent, and boy I do love looking at it as the red lights are bold and mean-looking with their black accent on the sides.

Lastly, there’s the 17” wheelbase that looks just right on the Peugeot 2008 SUV. It features a clean lines and bold design that looks pleasing to the eyes. Definitely adds to the premium, sporty, and sexy look of the car.

Amazing technology inside

I’m not the most hardcore guy when it comes to cars but the 1.2L PureTech Turbo Engine gives off pure power and amazing performance whether you’re driving along a steep hill or just driving in the city. The Peugeot 2008 SUV can handle it just fine. I was actually surprised with the power especially in Sport mode as I can get amazing acceleration with the car.

For the dashboard, there’s Peugeot’s 3D i-Cockpit that can give you all the information that you need with a minimal design. The amazing thing about it is you can customize it based on your needs and what you want to see on the dashboard. The 3D effect on it adds to the “wow” effect on the dashboard and beauty to the car. And of course, just like most cars, we have all the buttons and controls that we need on the steering wheel of the Peugeot 2008 SUV.

There’s a 7-inch display as well inside and yes, you can connect your smartphone whether that’s an Android or iOS. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so syncing your apps like Waze and Spotify would be just fine.

Everything that you need to control is in the 7-inch display. If you want to change the colors of the Cockpit, turn on the mood lighting inside the car, or whatever you want to control then it’s there. It’s an all-in-one display and what I like about it is that it’s angled to the driver’s side so the driver has full control and the display doesn’t have too much glare even when there’s bright and direct sunlight outside.

Safety

Safety is paramount when buying cars and Peugeot has taken note of every safety feature that you need from the car. Of course, there’s the rear camera so you can easily and safely park your car anytime but that’s just the start. The Peugeot 2008 SUV also features Active Blind Spot detection which basically warns you in the side mirror with a yellow and it warns you that there’s a car in your blind spot so you will be safe when you’re changing lanes.

Two other features that keep you in focus and in the lane are Active Lane Keep Assistance and also Advanced Driver Attention warning. While I think the Active Lane Keep Assistance is too intrusive and too tight when driving along the expressway, it can be turned off. In my driving experience of the Peugeot 2008 SUV, I was also able to experience an automatic full stop of the car when there was a pedestrian that suddenly cross the road.

Verdict

The Peugeot 2008 SUV not only packs a sporty and cool design but it also packs a lot of power inside and it’s also very comfortable to ride on and to use. There are a lot of safety features as well that you would definitely be useful and keep you safe while on the road.

I know there are a lot of car manufacturers out there and more popular ones with a really wide aftersales but the Peugeot deserves to be in your list as this one comes with a stylish and unique design that can definitely “wow” anyone and combined with its power and comfortability, you’ll definitely love the Peugeot 2008 SUV.

Here’s why I prefer the MSI Optix MAG281URF for my PS5

0

I’ve been looking for the best monitor for my Playstation 5 and it looks like I’ve found the right one for me and it’s the MSI Optix MAG281URF. This monitor has everything that we need for our PS5 including HDMI 2.1, high refresh rate, and a gamer-centric features.

Flexibility

Aside from the technical features that we got from the MSI Optix MAG281URF, there’s the flexibility for the gaming monitor as we can tilt, rotate, swivel and adjust the height of the MSI Optix MAG281URF.

This gives us the flexibility for the monitor that we need so whatever position that we are playing on the monitor. Whether we want to play in bed, on the couch, or just sitting upright, well, that won’t be a problem on the gaming monitor. This feature is also great for those people who wants to use their monitor for work as they can easily rotate the monitor in portrait mode for those who wants to use it for Sheets, Excel or whatever office apps that you want to use with it.

HDMI 2.1

This is the feature that most console players have been looking for as HDMI 2.1 brings the best feature that we’re looking for a console – a higher refresh rate thru HDMI port. The HDMI 2.1 is rare on displays or monitors as this technology standard is just new.

HDMI 2.1 lets you run displays at 4K at up to 240Hz and with the MSI Optix MAG281URF, you’ll be able to maximize the 27.9” 4K display of the monitor. Higher refresh rates has become essential as there are now games that supports high frame rates especially the shooter ones.

Designed for gamers

One of the things that hardcore gamers love about their components and peripherals is to match their RGB lights and their gaming aesthetics. With the MSI Optix MAG281URF, it features an RGB lighting at the back with an edgy design as well. And for the controls, it was user-friendly and pretty easy to access as well as it only comes with a single OSD joystick.

Navigating thru the menu with the OSD joystick was a breeze along with its user-friendly UI so switching profiles from your console to your PC was simple and fast. I actually like switching profiles as I do prefer different colors and profile wheneve I’m playing games on my PS5 and also on my PC.

Amazing display

And of course, the best part about the MSI Optix MAG281URF is the display. Again, this is only one of the few monitors that supports HDMI 2.1 so we are able to maximize the high resolution and refresh rate in our Playstation 5.

As for the colors, the display comes with HDR400 which will give realistic colors and in our experience with the MSI Optix MAG281URF, we definitely enjoyed the HDR performance and also the colors when we’re playing games such as God of War: Ragnarok and also Horizon Forbidden West.

The 4K resolution also gives out a crisp visuals whether you want to use it for your PC or for the PS5 and the 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms GTG is perfect for my FPS games on both consoles and also on the PC.

Narzo 50i Prime Quick Review

0

Narzo has been one of the hottest brands in the country as the smartphone brand (that is now separate from realme) because of its competitive pricing and pretty powerful specs. And if you’re looking for an affordable Narzo smartphone look no further, there’s the Narzo 50i Prime which is perfect for first-time smartphone users or for those people who are looking for an affordable Narzo smartphone.

Design and Hardware

The Narzo 50i Prime still comes with a stylish design. The body of the smartphone is still plastic as expected but it does have a vertical stripe design at the back and the smartphone is still pretty slim at 8.5mm. Since this one comes with a plastic body, the smartphone does have a pretty light design as well.

The smartphone also comes with a flat frame which is a trend on most smartphones these days but it doesn’t give the best ergonomics. Nonetheless, it’s still light to use, and using the smartphone, on one hand, will be just fine.

For the buttons, the smartphone comes with the power button and also the volume rocker on the side which both are really accessible. Below, we can see the micro USB port and also the 3.5mm headphone jack of the smartphone. It’s a little bit iffy that they’ve still retained the micro USB port on this one as we’re seeing fewer and fewer smartphones with this port.

Inside the smartphone is a 5000mAh battery and it was long-lasting. We were able to get a day or two of battery life on the smartphone as the smartphone packs a pretty good battery life

Display

The narzo 50i Prime comes with a 6.5-inch display which is pretty large enough for most use cases on a smartphone. Honestly, I find the size of the display of the smartphone just ideal for anything as it comes in the perfect size.

As for the quality of the display, it’s an HD+ display and it’s basically what you can expect from a smartphone at its price range. It’s actually pretty colorful and I wasn’t expecting that the display quality would be this good.

Software and performance

Running inside the smartphone is realme UI R edition which is based on Android 11 and I like how realme managed to optimize and minimize the software inside it. Apps load faster than expected and we’re still getting here full applications despite packing affordable hardware inside.

The UI of the smartphone is still familiar as this one is still realme UI despite the optimizations that they’ve made. However, the starting 32GB storage of the smartphone might not be enough for all people so if you’re a heavy user, I suggest getting a microSD card or higher storage for this one.

When it comes to performance, the smartphone uses a UNISOC T612 processor inside along with 3GB of RAM. The processor of the smartphone can run the basic apps that you need whether that’s a random app on Play Store or Facebook but if you’re expecting to run heavier apps and games on this one, well, don’t expect too much.

The narzo 50i Prime is made for those people who are using their smartphone for light and casual apps and games only. It’s not really made for power users.

In our benchmarks, here are the scores that we got on the smartphone:

Camera

The narzo 50i Prime comes with an 8MP main camera and also a 5MP selfie camera. I know, there are no-nonsense cameras in here. Just a straightforward 8MP main camera. We all know that this is an entry-level smartphone, right? Well, the performance of the main camera is actually better than I expected. Check out some of the shots that we took using the smartphone.

For basic camera usage including posting on social media, the narzo 50i Prime will do its job pretty well. Actually, they did a pretty good job on both the front and rear cameras of the smartphone as we’re getting here better than expected results.

Verdict

The narzo 50i Prime is better than I expected. Yes, it’s a budget smartphone and yes, it’s an entry-level smartphone but it does better in every way compared to most entry-level smartphones out there. The operating system isn’t limited, the processor can run apps just fine and the camera of the smartphone is pretty good for its price range.

The narzo 50i Prime is for people who need a smartphone but it’s still on a budget. It might not be a perfect smartphone but it’s definitely a good one for its price range.

Apple might be working on a touchscreen Macbook Pro

0

Apple has long been against the idea of bringing touchscreens to the Mac lineup, but it seems that the company may be changing its tune. According to a report from Mark Gurman, the famous Appple analyst, Apple is actively working on touchscreen Macs and could potentially release a new MacBook Pro with touchscreen support as soon as 2025.

Previously, Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, has been long against touchscreen on macs as they’re not ergonomic for the Apple notebooks and desktops but macOS Ventura and features like Stage Manager make the macOS more touch-screen friendly.

According to the report, Apple is now testing a MacBook Pro with touchscreen capabilities. The company is considering releasing this as soon as 2025, but there are ongoing discussions within the company that could impact that timeline. If Apple decides to move forward with launching touchscreen Macs, it is possible that the technology could eventually expand to other models in the lineup as well.

It is worth noting that despite Apple’s apparent work on touchscreen Macs, the company is still “not actively working to combine the iPad and Mac operating systems.”

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is expected to sport a glass material on the front and back and it will pack an aluminum frame as well to make it feel more solid and more premium. And again, the cameras of the smartphone are protruding similar to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
