HUAWEI Philippines has just launched their newest foldable flagship in the market and it’s the HUAWEI Mate X3. This is the brand’s most exciting foldable smartphone as this one packs a thin and light design unlike most foldable smartphones out there.
The HUAWEI Mate X3 packs a 293g of quad-curve body and also at 5.3mm thickness which makes the foldable smartphone feels like a slab phone only. Despite the thin body of the smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate X3 still features a Kunlun Glass on the front display of the smartphone can withstand drops and pressure.
A new feature that is being introduced on the smartphone is that it now supports IPX8 water and splash resistance which is one of the few foldable smartphones to sport this feature.

Huawei P60 Pro has finally arrived in the Philippines and just like the previous P-series smartphones from the company, Huawei wants to redefine the mobile photography space again with its more powerful camera thanks to the XMAGE camera that comes with f1.4 and f2.1 apertures that brings a more DSLR-like quality to your smartphones.
Exquisite design
The Huawei P60 Pro also comes with a premium design. It comes in black and Rococo Pearl. The Rococo Pearl color of the smartphone gives a unique pearl texture design at the back and what’s so unique about this is that the Rococo Pearl pattern design is different to every smartphone.
The black one is still good though as this one comes with a really premium matte feel and it might not have a Kunlun Glass but I still prefer having it unprotected as the Huawei P60 Pro’s build quality is just excellent.
The ergonomics of the smartphone is pretty good as well as this one is light and despite the really excellent camera on the smartphone, the camera module isn’t really that thick. While the camera layout of the smartphone might be weird to some, the back does resemble a digital cameras before when taking photos on landscape.
Below the smartphone is a USB-C port and also a speaker grill and I tell you, this one comes with an 88W charging speeds which is really fast enough for any usage. As for the battery, we got here a 4815mAh battery inside and in my usage, the smartphone does have a really good battery as we were able to last a day up to a day and a half of usage on the smartphone.
Tough curved display
While on the front, the Huawei P60 Pro comes with a tough Kunlun Glass and boy it was tough as you can drop the smartphone without being too worried about it. In my usage, I’ve never used a case for the smartphone.
There’s a 6.67-inch 2700×1200 display with a 120Hz refresh rate as well with an LTPO OLED panel which is why the colors are great and I do love the curves on the display as it adds to the ergonomics of the smartphone. Actually, I like how perfect the size of the display is whether it’s for gaming or for watching videos.
The performance
Inside the Huawei P60 Pro is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G processor and in my usage, I didn’t had a single problems with the smartphone. it might not be the latest one but I assure you, it can handle all the games that I was able to install on the smartphone.
There might be no 5G on this one but I was surprised that I was getting speeds of up to 50mbps on the smartphone and even faster than my 5G connection sometimes. The Huawei P60 Pro does bring a lot of surprises.
As for the apps, we were able to install Google Apps on the Huawei AppGallery and it was seamless. So no more problems regarding the lack of Google apps on the smartphone as I was able to run apps like Google Docs, Chrome, Drive, and Maps on the smartphone without a problem as well.
As for the performance, it’s definitely what we can expect from a smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It can play the latest games and apps in the market right now but as expected, it’s not as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is the latest one in the market right now. It doesn’t get too hot also unlike the other Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
Surprising camera performance
The camera of the smartphone is the highlight of the show. It comes with a 48MP Ultra light camera + 13MP Ultra-wide Angle Camera + 48MP Ultra Lighting Telephoto Camera along with 13MP selfie camera.
Now, here’s the thing. The Huawei P60 Pro’s rear camera is the best we’ve seen thanks to its ability to capture more light. As expected, the Huawei P60 Pro does pose a superior night shots even without light at all. That has been seen on previous P-series smartphones of Huawei.
But what surprises me is HOW GOOD THE TELEPHOTO CAMERA IS. We we’re able to shoot photos at f/1.4 aperture at 2x zoom and we’re surprised how good it is. Sometimes, I don’t even use my Sony A6400 with 35mm f/1.8 lens anymore because of how good the camera of the smartphone is.
Shooting macro isn’t the same as before as well as I can zoom in up to 10x on the smartphone and still get amazing macro shots on the smartphone.

n
Sometimes, I even use 3.5x zoom on the smartphone and still get amazing details on the Huawei P60 Pro.
Shooting portraits is more fun as well when shooting at aperture mode instead of the portrait mode with software or artificial bokeh. Why? because the physical aperture mode with f1/1.4 aperture does bring a lot of magic to the table.
Here are more shots using the smartphone and I can tell you, that the Huawei P60 Pro’s camera is just amazing and it’s definitely the best smartphone camera out there.
Verdict
The Huawei P60 Pro is the smartphone for mobile photographers. If you want a smartphone that can somehow replace your mirrorless camera, then this is the one for you. The Huawei P60 Pro is also stylish, powerful, and it’s more usable now for everyone now that you can install Google Apps on the smartphone easily with Gbox.
While it might not have the latest Snapdragon processor and also 5G but the smartphone still performed really well in the performance department as it was still able to run the latest games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail at high settings and for 5G, we still got here pretty fast speeds even for 4G+.
The Huawei P60 Pro is definitely the king of smartphone cameras right now.
Huawei has announced that its latest flagship phone, the Huawei P60 Pro, is now available for purchase through offline and online Huawei stores, authorized retail outlets, and leading e-commerce sites Shopee and Lazada.

In case you missed it, the P60 Pro has taken the crown as the best smartphone camera according to DXOMARK’s latest camera ranking.
The test evaluated its performance in photo, video, and zoom quality from an end-user perspective. Impressively, it scored an impressive 156 overall, with a photo score of 159, a bokeh score of 80, a preview score of 75, a zoom score of 158, and a video score of 147.
The device’s primary camera boasts a 48MP RYYB sensor, 24.5mm equivalent auto-adjustable physical f/1.4 – f/4.0-aperture lens, AF, and OIS, while its ultra-wide camera has a 13MP sensor with a 13mm equivalent f/2.2-aperture lens and AF.
