realme 8i launches in the Philippines!

realme Philippines has just unveiled their newest smartphone to arrive in the Philippines and it’s the relame 8i. The smartphone boasts a lot of cool features including a 50MP camera and also a 120Hz display on the smartphone.

The smartphone comes with a Helio G96 processor inside which is known to be powerful enough to run most games that are available in the market right now and then there’s the 120hz refresh rate IPS display which will give you a smooth animations and navigation on the smartphone.

For the memory, the smartphone comes with an up to 6GB physical RAM with an additional 5GB virtual RAM on the 6+128GB variant and then there’s the 50MP main camera along with 2MP macro and 2MP B&W lens

YouTube, Smart announce the 12 winners of NextUp Philippines 2021

YouTube and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) officially announced the 12 finalists for NextUp Philippines 2021.

The NextUp winners will participate in an online Creator Camp, where they will get a crash course on production techniques. They will also receive in-depth training to boost their channels further.

Moreover, each of the 12 finalists will receive an equipment stipend worth Php100,000 and free data packs. Meanwhile, three winners will have a one-year endorsement contract with Smart.

A brand new smartphone from Samsung has been leaked and this time, it’s the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G. This new smartphone comes with 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with an Infinity-U display and also a full HD+ resolution. This smartphone also comes with a quad-camera setup.

The hardware inside the smartphone wasn’t clear yet but it’s expected to run a chipset that only supports 5G (duh!). The smartphone also comes with USB-C port with no headphone jack in sight. The smartphone comes with 159.7 x 74 x 8.1mm dimensions

Samsung Exynos 1280 and Exynos 2200 spotted at Google Play Console

Two new chipsets from Samsung Exynos were spotted at the Google Play Console and these are the Samsung Exynos 1280 and the Exynos 2200. Both chipsets are not yet used in any of the devices in the market right now.

The Samsung Exynos 2200 is expected to be the next flagship chipset of the company and it comes with ARM Cortex-X2 core (2900 Mhz) 3-core ARM Cortex-A710 (2700 Mhz) 4-core ARM Cortex-A510 (2100 Mhz) with a 3-core AMD Radeon Vega8 (1200 Mhz) GPU, the GPU that we can’t wait to arrive on smartphones. The single ARM Cortex X2-core is expected to be used for heavier tasks such as gaming and rendering.

For the Samsung Exynos 1280, it’s expected to come with 2-core ARM Cortex-A78 (2400 Mhz) 6-core ARM Cortex-A55 (2000 Mhz) with ARM Mali G68 (1000MHz graphics). The Exynos 1280 is expected to be used on higher midrange segment smartphones.

No smartphone has been confirmed to use the two chipsets but we can expect them to run on smartphones this 2022 on both flagship and midrange smartphones.

20 teams will fight for Php1.5M prize pool in Mineski Masters Playoffs

After months of intense competition, 20 teams emerged as the most formidable competitors for the upcoming Mineski Masters Playoffs.

The 20 teams will battle each other in PUBG Mobile and Dota 2 for a whopping Php1.5 million prize pool. The playoffs for PUBG Mobile will happen from November 13 to November 14 and November 25 to November 28 for Dota 2.

From 128 teams competing in the national PUBGM tournament, only 16 camps will battle it out in the playoffs. The tournament has a prize pool of Php500,000. Converge is the official partner to live broadcast the event, while OPPO sponsored the event.

Meanwhile, Mineski Masters Playoffs will also feature the Dota 2 regional invitational tournament with a prize pool of Php1 million. Four Filipino wild card teams will face off with four invited pro-teams from the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Four international teams will also join the competition.
