The new iMac now comes in M1 chip, new design, and seven new color options

The iMac not only got the new M1 chip that was introduced in the Macbook lineup but the iMacs now comes in 7 new color options. The new iMac now comes in 24-inch 4.5K retina display and also some new awesome features including a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, the best speaker in all Macs, and a better mic which makes the iMac perfect for work from home setup.

The new iMac will now come in a new design. First, it features an array of colors — green yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. and it will have a design similar to the iPad Pro. Curved sides and a flat back. The iMac will also come with a new power connector that magnetically attaches to the mac with a woven 2-meter color-matched cable that is connected to an adapter with a LAN port. As for the other ports, the iMac comes with an up to 2x thunderbolt port and another 2x USB-C port

For the display, we got here a 24″ 4.5K Retina display and it comes with a P3 wide color gamut with over a billion colors and 500 nits of brightness. This makes the iMac perfect for editing photos and videos.

As for the M1 chip inside the iMac, Apple promises a leap in performance compared to the previous generation of iMac. It promises 85% better CPU performance and 2X better GPU performance compared to the previous generation. So do expect that you can get a better performance in apps like Final Cut Pro X and Photoshop. The M1 chip will also let you run iPhone and iPad apps on the Mac natively.

The new iMac also got an upgrade when it comes to its accessories. The magic keyboard, magic mouse, and magic trackpad are now color-matched to the iMac. Not only that because the accessories now come with Touch ID.

Apple has just unveiled the Airtag and it’s a small tracking device that lets you track items such as keys and wallets as long as you attach your Airtag. The Airtag will use the Find My network and it will also have a U1 chip inside.

Unlike other tracking devices, the Apple AirTag comes with precision finding which will give users the exact direction and distance of your AirTag. It’s also IP67 water and dust resistant and it will also have a built-in speaker.

You can also customize the AirTag with emojis or text with engraving. The Apple AirTag requires iPhone or iPod Touch running on iOS 14.5 or later or iPad running on iPadOS 14.5 or later. It will be available in and four packs for $29 and $99

You can do it now through the app’s new PayLater feature, allowing users to shop, dine, ride, and pay at a later date without interest.

HOW PAYLATER WORKS

Grab is bringing its PayLater feature to the Philippines, giving users more payment options to choose from.

The feature is available to loyal Grab users who regularly use the app and those who have significant transactions across Grab’s various services. Those who qualify for the feature will see PayLater as one of their payment methods, along with cash, GrabPay, and enrolled cards.

To enjoy, users have to activate the PayLater payment method in the app.

Later on, users will be given a pre-approved limit for their monthly spend, which will be refreshed upon payment of the PayLater balance.

GRAB’S PAYLATER TERMS AND REWARDING SYSTEM

Those who will subscribe to PayLater will get their monthly bill during the 1st or 15th day of the month. They will be given seven days to settle, depending on their activation day.

Meanwhile, although PayLater has 0% interest, Grab revealed that users will have to pay a processing fee of 3.99% for each consolidated bill. An additional late fee of 3.99% will also be charged if the bill is not paid on time.

Users can enable their notifications to get regular payment reminders before their due date.

Grab users who will use PayLater will also receive reward points for any transaction.

Apex Legends Mobile Philippines beta test will start this month

Electronic Arts have just announced that the Apex Legends Mobile will be available in regional beta tests later this month and the Philippines is one of the two countries that will get to experience the game first.

Apex Legends Mobile will be designed for touchscreen devices with controls that are optimized for mobile devices and it will still be in a battle royale genre just like the desktop version. According to EA, Apex Legends Mobile will be true to the original.

They’ve also confirmed that Apex Legends Mobile will be a free-to-play game and it will also feature its own Battle Passes, cosmetics, and unlockables that can be found on the PC and console version of Apex Legends. Since this specifically built for mobile, the game won’t feature cross-play with the console and PC versions of Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Mobile will start in a series of tests. EA will start their closed beta tests in India and the Philippines and it will initially be available to Android devices only for testing. They’ll expand the tests, regions, and implement iOS support in the near future.

Sony recently unleashed its two photography-centric smartphones—the new Xperia 1 III, and Xperia 5 III.

The brand is known for its camera innovations, and with the launch of its two new smartphones, Sony aimed to tag the devices as a mobile counterpart of its famed Alpha digital cameras. In fact, the company boasted that these devices are the first smartphones to offer a variable telephoto lens, complemented with a Dual PD sensor.

With this, when a photographer zooms further, these two devices can intelligently zoom using its impressive digital zoom features.

Backed by its most recent Speedtest Intelligence data, Ookla revealed that PLDT records the fastest average fixed download and upload speeds in 16 out of 17 key regions of the country. This suggests that the company has widened the gap between its position and its rivals’ current standing in terms of broadband speeds nationwide.

Ookla’s report is based on its various Speedtest applications from different devices connected to a fixed network.

The tests later showed that PLDT has the fastest speeds in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Central Luzon, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Western Visayas, Davao Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region, SOCCSKARGEN, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, MIMAROPA, and Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
