0

OPPO is on a roll for their Reno smartphone and recently, OPPO has teased a new colorway for the OPPO Reno in their Facebook page and it’s the OPPO Reno Sunset Rose. The OPPO Reno smartphones were recently released in the Philipines and one of those smartphones is the OPPO Reno 10x that comes with an amazing camera that can zoom up to 60x.

There’s a lower variant too — the OPPO Reno that has lower specs but still decent enough as this one has an almost similar design and also a Snapdragon 710 inside which is capable enough for most games and applications. But of course, there’s the shark fin pop-up camera on this one too and we have a full-screen display.

We’re not sure yet when the OPPO Reno Sunset Rose Colorway will arrive in the Philippines but it will definitely arrive in the Philippines really soon.

Lenovo Philippines has been very active lately as the company is gearing up their arsenals for this year by refreshing the Legion, Yoga, and Ideapad lineups. Not only that, Lenovo Philippines has also announced that they’ve made a stellar performance last fiscal year.

The Legion gaming lineup of Lenovo is also the fastest-growing gaming notebook brand in the country and earlier this year, the company has also opened its first exclusive Legion Concept Store in SM City North EDSA but of course, one of the reasons of the rise of Legion notebooks is its good product lineup.

Lenovo Yoga S940

The company has also launched their newest notebooks — Lenovo Y740, Ideapad L340, and other Legion peripherals including headphones and bags. Aside from that, they’ve also launched their newest ultrabooks such as the Ideapad S340 and S540 and also their IdeaPad C340 and their Yoga ultrabooks such as the Yoga S940 and Yoga S730.

Lenovo Ideapad C340

So here are my favorites. The Legion Y740 comes with GeForce RTX 2060 GPU along with the latest 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H which is pretty powerful enough and it is now available for Php119,995.

For those people who wants to buy a gaming laptop but if you’re into affordable notebooks, you can go for the Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming notebook that packs an Intel Core i7 CPU with 128GB SSD and Nvidia GeForce GT 1650 graphics card which is decent enough for most games at Php59,995. But of course you can also opt for the Intel Core i5 variant that is way cheaper at Php49,995.

But of course, the Ideapads and the Yoga ultrabooks are also refreshed. The good thing about Lenovo in these series is that all of their laptops comes in Ultrabook form. Yep, all of them.

The Yoga S940 comes with a sexy 12.2mm thin and only at 1.2kg and it’s also the world’s first laptop to have a contour glass that minimizes the appearance of its thin bezels but of course, the notebook comes at a price of Php115,995.

Lenovo Yoga S940

The Ideapads will be led by its newest member, the IdeaPad S540 that comes with the latest Nvidia GTX 1650 GPU that is paired with Intel Core-8565U processor and it’s priced at Php69,995. There’s the IdeaPad c340 too which is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop, the ultra-slim IdeaPad S340, and the IdeaPad S145, comes with Microsoft Office Perpetual bundle worth Php5,995.

Lenovo Ideapad L340

Lastly, the company has also launched their accessories and peripherals including the Legion H300 Stereo Gaming Headset that is priced at Php2,995, Legion M500 RGB Gaming Mouse at Php2,995, Legion K500 RGB Mech Keyboard at Php3,995, Legion H500 Stereo Pro 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headsets at Php4,995, and the Lenovo Recon Backpack at Php2,995.

Many new faces were seen in the arena, including the first player born after 2000 to have made it to the Top 8 in the Grand Slam, Amanda Anisimova.

OPPO, Roland-Garros’ premium partner, being the only brand in the smartphone sector appeared alongside with other longtime partners such as Rolex and Emirates. The smartphone brand launched its creative campaign “Ace the Shot”, aiming to motivate players and users to achieve winning streaks both in tournaments and everyday life.

OPPO is devoted in establishing a long-term partnership with Roland-Garros, their partnership will run starting this year until 2021. As part of the planned collaborations – motivating young talent has already begun through “Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by OPPO” – this brings together young tennis players at tournaments in China, India and Brazil. This is the only opportunity for young players outside the world ranking of the main draw to qualify for the tournament and go on to experience the charm of Roland Garros. Well, we do have a Kirin 710F processor inside and also a triple lens camera at the back.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 Specs

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes with triple lens camera at the back that supports AI which is one of its main features and of course, the display that doesn’t have a notch or hole. The Huawei Y9 2019 is priced at Php12,990 which is very reasonable for its features and specs.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 Hands-On and First Impressions

1

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is coming to the Philippines soon and we already got the units for hands-on and also the review of the smartphone. The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is really an interesting smartphone due to its features such as the full-screen display and also the pop-up camera of the smartphone. There’s a triple lens camera too with a 16MP main camera with 8MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor and the main feature of this smartphone — the 16MP auto pop-up selfie camera.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is a big smartphone. We got here a 6.59-inch Full HD Display with no notch which is really immersive when watching videos or just playing games. It’s actually a big advantage as the smartphone doesn’t have any notch or holes that block my view.

The smartphone also features a plastic build but it does look like glass from afar and then there’s the unique dividing line in the smartphone with a texture shimmering at the back just below the fingerprint scanner. It’s a cool look on the smartphone that adds beauty to it. Speaking of the back of the smartphone, the smartphone does pack a curved back which helps in the ergonomics and grip to the smartphone. However, I will still suggest that you use the included case in the box.

Thankfully, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is now utilizing a USB-C port which is getting common on smartphones these days. Unfortunately, the smartphone doesn’t support fast-charging so you’re stuck with the included 10W charger out of the box. But hey, at least there’s a headphone jack in the smartphone.

Yep, the smartphone might pack a fingerprint scanner at the back, however, the smartphone doesn’t have a face unlock. Maybe because Huawei wants you to lessen the use of its front-facing camera or because of the selfie camera is too slow to fully pop-up.

Again, the smartphone doesn’t pack a notch and it’s beautiful to look at just like other smartphones with no notch. The display of the smartphone is just fine and I have no qualms about it and I can freely use it outside under direct sunlight without problems at all.

The triple lens rear camera of the smartphone isn’t the best in its class however, I applaud that the smartphone does have a wide-angle lens. Most of my shots at well-lit conditions are okay. However, sometimes, the photos get blown out and it’s a little bit overexposed. Check out the shots that I took using the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019.

Overall, it’s nice to see that we have smartphones like this one, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. The full-screen display is a refreshing take from Huawei and it’s really immersive for watching videos and gaming. Yep, there’s a wide-angle lens on the smartphone which I like but I was not expecting a really great performance with it considering that this smartphone belongs in the Y-series.

As of this posting, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 doesn’t have a full SRP yet but knowing Huawei, they’re doing a pretty good job in pricing their smartphones. Check out our unboxing and hands-on video of the smartphone below:
