ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Lite Short Hands-On

We got a chance to have a short hands-on of the newest entry-level Android smartphone of ASUS, the Zenfone 4 Max Lite. The smartphone is actually affordable as the smartphone is only priced at Php7,995 but despite that, the Taiwanese company still managed to have a large battery capacity on the smartphone.  So, what do we think about the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Lite?

ASUS made some compromises to make an affordable smartphone with a longer battery life. Aesthetically, the Zenfone 4 Max Lite is smaller as the smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD display compared to the 5.5-inch display of the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max. This made the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Lite easier to hold despite its thicker footprint.

The smartphone has a similar look to the Zenfone 4 Max, it has a plastic back with a metal feel which is pretty common to smartphones these days. It’s really not that bad as it still has a solid feel to the smartphone.

The smartphone’s volume rocker and the power button is still ergonomically placed at the right side of the smartphone and the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Lite still uses a Micro USB port for charging which is not a surprise as ASUS tends to have this port for their entry-level and affordable Android smartphones.

The 5.2-inch display of the smartphone and just like the Zenfone 4 Max, the display of this smartphone is a little bit washed out. It’s also smaller which is not ideal for watching videos and also for playing.

At the back is where you can find the 13-megapixel rear camera with secondary 5-megapixel wide-angle lens which is similar to the one on the Zenfone 4 Max Plus. Check out some sample shots that we took while we had the smartphone.

Inside the smartphone is a Snapdragon 425 processor and also a 2GB of RAM which is a downgrade from the Snapdragon 430 processor on the Zenfone 4 Max. Well, the smartphone is not sluggish despite the downgrade and the software? It’s quite fine.

The ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Lite is a solid choice for those who are on a budget and looking for a long lasting smartphone. However, you should take note of the inferior camera and display.

New images of the upcoming ASUS Zenfone 5 Lite has leaked out again and this time, it shows the three different colors of the smartphone and also the clear look on its back. The leaked image shows that the smartphone would definitely have an 18:9 display. The image also confirms that the ASUS Zenfone 5 Lite will have a Quad-camera setup with one of the rear camera is set to be a 120-degree wide angle camera.

The leaked image shows that the ASUS Zenfone 5 Lite will be available in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Rouge Red.

Xiaomi never fails to amaze us. Their latest leak, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S shows that the Chinese company has even minimized the notch and shows a very clean Full-screen look on the front. Not just that, the leak banner also shows that the smartphone will have a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of Storage.

The smartphone will have a 5.99-inch panel and this design is just really amazing. Imagine that little notch on the upper right of the smartphone. The phone is so neat and awesome.

Unfortunately, the game is only available in China app stores so how can you play this game on your smartphones? It’s actually easy. Just follow these steps.

  1. Download WeChat on the Play store and create an account
  2. Download the Taptap Online store app here: https://www.taptap.com/mobile
  3. Install the Taptap Online store app on your smartphone
  4. Go to this link on your smartphones: https://www.taptap.com/app/69515
  5. Download the PUBG Mobile app and install it on your Android smartphone
  6. Open the PUBG Mobile App and just tap on the WeChat button to log in to the game
  7. Voila, you’re now in the game and you can play the game whenever you want

The only problem that you can encounter with it is that the game’s default language is in Chinese and there’s no English translation for the game. But don’t worry, if you’re familiar with the mechanics and the guns in the game,  you won’t have any problem with PUBG Mobile.

Well, I do hope that Tencent can bring this game outside China as the branding of the game is really popular globally.

It’s expected that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be outed this year and the latest leak suggests that the next generation flagship smartphone will have a large 8GB RAM, 128GB RAM, and also a large 4,480mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is also expected to run on the latest Snapdragon 845 Processor which is still not yet in the market and there’s the dual lens camera setup which is a 16MP + 16MP.

We just got our first glimpse at one of the members of the ASUS Zenfone 5 family and it’s the ASUS Zenfone 5 Lite courtesy of @evleaks. The smartphone will sport a quad-camera setup and also an 18:9 FHD+ display.

There’s the 20-megapixel dual-lens camera on the front while there’s a dual lens 16-megapixel rear camera. It seems that the smartphone will also feature a full view 18:9 display on the front with FHD+ resolution while the fingerprint scanner of the smartphone is placed at the back.

 

 

We’re not yet sure at the rest of the hardware but we can expect the unveiling of the ASUS Zenfone 5 family at MWC 2018 this month.

Xiaomi Store Spotted at SM Megamall

Looks like Xiaomi will be back here in the Philippines with a bang as different offline stores are now being constructed at different malls here in the country. The Xiaomi Grand Launch will be held at Trinoma this February 17 and it is the first store to open in the country. We don’t know yet the opening of the Xiaomi store in SM Megamall and also the products that they’re planning to sell in the country. Right now, all we can do is wait.

You can find the Xiaomi SM Megamall store just beside the OPPO Store at the SM Cyberzone.
