Huawei Watch GT 2e Review

1

Smart wearable devices have been part of my everyday gear as smartwatches have kept me on track of my activities and also my health and today, we’re gonna do a review of the latest wearable devices of Huawei, the Watch GT 2e and in this review, you’ll know why the wearable is my favorite of all the smartwatches that I have right now.

First, let’s discuss the design of the Huawei Watch GT 2e. It looks like a normal watch when you’re looking at it from afar as we got here a round watchface and display on the Watch GT 2e which is pretty big. For people with bigger wrists, they would definitely love the Huawei Watch GT 2e as we got here a large 1.39-inch AMOLED panel on the watchface but I can’t say the same for people who has a smaller wrist.

Speaking of the display, the quality of the AMOLED panel on the Watch GT 2e is excellent and it has very good outdoor visibility so using it outside won’t be a problem to you guys. The colors are good too and I can notice that there are the vivid colors on the watch faces that I’m using on the Watch GT 2e and outside the display, there’s the tachymeter that adds to the premium feel of the Watch GT 2e. And yes, there are a lot of available watchfaces for the Huawei Watch GT 2e.

On the right side of the smartwatch, there are the two buttons in where you can open the list of the apps at the top button and a down button in where you can customize in which app or feature that you can open. In my case, I always use it to measure my stress level.

The Huawei Watch GT 2e also got a rubber band and you can easily swap it if you wanted but I’m perfectly fine with this one as the strap is not that flashy and it works perfectly fine even if you’re working out using the watch.

There are many reasons why you should love the Huawei Watch GT 2e, first, it has an optical heart rate sensor below that can track my heart rate really well. In the Huawei health app, it can give me the resting heart rate, the heart range, and many more. The best part about it is that the Huawei Health app gives you an insight about your heart rate.

Not only that, but the Huawei Watch GT 2e can also measure your stress levels and base on the readings and my current workload (hehe!), it does actually show that my stress level goes high whenever I’m working on something. Aside from that, the Watch GT 2e also features Activity records that can show you your daily goals.

The Huawei Watch GT 2e also comes with a sleep tracker built-in to the watch. This is really helpful especially if you’re an insomniac like me and it can show you your sleeping patterns. Not only that, but it also gives you a recommendation if you’re not sleeping that well or if you’ve not been sleeping at all.

The smartwatch also gives an impressive workout and fitness tracking as this one comes with a lot of sensors including accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and onboard GPS. These sensors does help in better fitness tracking of the Huawei Watch GT 2e. For those who like to hike and to travel, there’s the compass built-in on the Watch GT 2e which is really helpful for mountaineers or for those people who are always in the wild and always get lost.

Again, the workout modes that are available on the Huawei Watch GT 2e is really impressive as it offers different workout modes that offer an extensive overview of your heart rate, stress levels, calories that you’ve burned and even the floors you’ve climbed. If you’re into swimming then that won’t be a problem too as the watch can do an up to 5 ATM water-resistance which means that you can wear it and use it if you’re swimming in the pool.

Whether you’re playing frisbee, dancing or just doing Yoga, the Huawei Watch GT 2e got a specialized workout mode that can track your activity for you because again, the watch does offer 85 custom workout modes.

Aside from that, the Huawei Watch GT 2e offers a lot of features including SpO2 tracking that tracks your oxygen but it does fail to track me sometimes whenever I move too much, and then of course there are breathing exercises too that you can do with the smartwatch.

Other features on the Huawei Watch GT 2e includes the notifications in where it gives you the notifications on your smartphone to your watch and thankfully, you can control which apps that will only show notifications on the Huawei Watch GT 2e and then there’s the control for the music on the watch itself that I can also use for Spotify and also the remote camera shutter for Huawei smartphones. Unfortunately for some people, there’s no support for third-party applications on the watch.

My favorite feature of the Huawei Watch GT 2e is the battery. Why? Because unlike any other smartwatches out there, the Huawei Watch GT 2e can last up to a week and a half of my usage despite a lot of notifications that is going on the smartwatch because of my Facebook Messenger. This feature actually makes the watch the best Android smartwatch that you can get in the market due to the long battery life.

Verdict

The Huawei Watch GT 2e is a great smartwatch and it’s one of the best out there due to the design that looks pretty cool, a long battery life, and the impressive health and fitness tracking capabilities of the smartwatch. It might not have any support for other third-party applications but the features inside it is already great and impressive, also, the smartwatch is meant to be an extension of your smartphone so having third-party apps on the watch isn’t really that essential for me.

The Huawei Watch GT 2e is now available for Php6,990 which is insanely affordable for its features.

OnePlus 8T To Come With 65W Super Warp Charging

0

OnePlus phones have one of the simplest and cleanest UIs as far as android goes. The clean UI comes with an extensive feature set, such as an Engineering Mode app use to troubleshoot and test specific components and features. XDA-Developers found a certain feature deep within the Android 11 beta source code of the app for future OnePlus devices.

The Engineering Mode app mentions a Super Warp Charge fast charging feature pushing 65-watts into a OnePlus mobile device. The written code could mean that the upcoming OnePlus 8T series will support the insanely fast 65w charging. Features of OnePlus flagship devices are usually found on last generation Oppo and Realme devices. That said, Oppo’s SuperVOOC 2.0 and Realme SuperDart charging already supports 65w fast charging – marking the feature ready for OnePlus devices.

Lastly, the Engineering Mode app’s source code also reveals an Ice Blue version of a OnePlus 8T device in the works. It’s supposed to be the opposite shade of Ultramarine Blue. It’s safe to assume OnePlus to release another Blue-based colorway as seen with the previous 7, 7T, and 8 series.
