OnePlus has introduced the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G to the Philippine market, a smartphone designed to offer top-tier features and seamless user experience at an affordable price.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G comes with a 6.67-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display, boasting a peak brightness of 2100 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight. Nothing has just refreshed their popular midrange smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a) and it’s called as the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus and the smartphone packs a Dimensity 7350 Pro processor inside along with 50MP selfie camera. They’ve also upped the charging speeds at up to 50W which makes the smartphone charge faster.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will also have two new color options — Metallic Grey and black. The Dimensity 7350 Pro is an overclocked version of the Dimensity 7200 and it is expected to come with 10% faster CPU performance.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus still gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 50MP main camera, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus still features a 5000mAh battery as well and it will come with Nothing OS 2.6.

realme 13 Pro Series debuts in India

realme has unveiled the successor to the realme 12 Pro Series and as expected, it’s name as the realme 13 Pro Series. The smartphone series is comprised of the realme 13 Pro and the realme 13 Pro+ with the Pro+ version sporting a Sony LYT-701 for the main sensor and then there’s the Sony LYT-600 sensor for the 3x telephoto lens.

While the realme 13 Pro features a LYT-600 for its main sensor. However, both smartphones sports a quite similar design from the previous generation with a triple camera setup at the back with a large round protruding camera module.

The realme 13 Pro series comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Both of the smartphone also uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset inside. Basically, the biggest change between the two is the cameras of the smartphone.

The realme 13 Pro Series comes with 5200mAh battery inside along with 45W SuperVOOC charging on the 13 Pro while for the 13 Pro+, there’s the 80W SuperVOOC charging speeds.

HUAWEI FreeBuds 6i is coming to the Philippines for less than Php5,000

HUAWEI Philippines has unveiled its latest addition to the FreeBuds wireless earbuds in the Philippines and it’s the HUAWEI FreeBuds 6i. These new wireless earbuds brings a more high-end features to a more affordable price range, with HUAWEI Philippines announcing that it will be available for under PHP 5,000.

The FreeBuds 6i comes with Huawei’s Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 technology, previously found only in their premium Pro series. This active noise cancellation system adapts to 34 different scenarios, adjusting its parameters within about a second to optimize noise reduction based on the user’s environment.

Other features of the FreeBuds 6i that we can expect includes up to 35 hours of battery life (with ANC off), fast charging capability, and dual-device connection for seamless switching between devices.

The earbuds also boast an 11mm Quad-magnet Dynamic Driver for improved sound quality and redesigned ear tips made from skin-friendly liquid silicone for better comfort and fit. The HUAWEI Freebuds 6i will be available in the Philippines soon for less than Php5,000 and it will be available in White, Purple, and Black color options.

OPPO and Ericsson Ink Global 5G Patent Cross-Licensing Deal

OPPO has announced an agreement with telecommunications giant Ericsson. The deal, includes a global patent cross-licensing arrangement, technical cooperation, and market expansion initiatives. Which helped both companies in the development of 5G.

At the heart of the agreement is a global cross-license covering standard-essential patents (SEPs) related to cellular communication technologies, with a particular focus on 5G. This arrangement allows both companies to leverage each other’s extensive patent portfolios, potentially accelerating innovation in the rapidly evolving 5G space.

The agreement comes at a time when OPPO’s intellectual property holdings are reaching new heights. As of June 30, 2024, the company has filed over 103,000 patent applications globally, with more than 57,000 patents granted. Notably, 91% of these applications are for utility patents, underscoring OPPO’s focus on practical innovations.

OPPO’s commitment to R&D is further evidenced by its strong showing in global patent rankings. In 2023, the company ranked ninth globally in patent applications filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), marking its fifth consecutive year in the global top ten.

OPPO’s position as a major player in 5G technology is clear from its patent activities in this area. The company has filed over 6,200 families of global patent applications for 5G communication standards across more than 40 countries and regions. It has also declared over 3,700 5G families to the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and submitted more than 12,000 standard documents to the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).
