Cherry Mobile is bringing back one of the most popular phones from the brand and it’s the Cherry Mobile P1. Yep, the P1 but this time, it looks it will be name as the P1i. The phone that is very popular back then due to its small size and also the looks similar to a calculator. But of course, there are some changes made on the phone.

From the photo, it seems that the phone will have a similar layout. There’s the numpad in here along with the navigational buttons and also the call buttons. The photo also suggest that the phone will come with a camera and of course other organizer features.

Samsung Galaxy A30s & A50s Now Official

0

Samsung has made it official — there’s a new incremental update for the Samsung Galaxy A30 & Galaxy A50 and these are the Samsung Galaxy A50s and the Galaxy A30s. Both smartphones are an incremental upgrade from the predecessor and it does offer a slight upgrade such as the redesigned back and also an upgraded camera

The Samsung Galaxy A30 now features an in-display fingerprint scanner and also a new 25MP main camera with 8MP ultrawide angle lens while the rest of the specifications are still the same while the Samsung Galaxy A50s features a 48MP rear camera and also an upgraded 32MP front-facing camera.

Basically, the upgrades aren’t really that big but hey, it’s still a welcome change since mid-range smartphones are updating like every 6 months especially that mid-range smartphones are now sporting a 48MP camera on their smartphones. Right now, we don’t have a word if these smartphones will arrive in the Philippines but let’s hope that we will get this incremental upgrade in our stores soon.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: This is OPPO’s best smartphone

0

Recently, OPPO has unveiled two smartphones under the Reno series — the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. This smartphone series aims to the people who are into the creative but of course, these smartphones also pack a power inside and also a really unique design. Check out what we think about OPPO’s flagship smartphone below.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: Design and hardware

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom’s design is one of the best design that the company has ever made on a smartphone. The materials used in the smartphone is premium to hold and the design of the smartphone is something that I love to look at.

At the back of the smartphone is where you can find the triple-lens camera and surprisingly, the smartphone doesn’t have a protruding camera but in case you’re worried about scratching the glass of the camera well, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a small protruding dot at the back of the smartphone so the glass of the camera won’t touch the surface.

The smartphone is pretty big too as we got a 6.6-inch display.  Yes, the smartphone is pretty massive and it’s slippery because of the glass build of the smartphone but thanks to its curves at the side of the smartphone, holding the smartphone is tolerable. Also, there’s an included case in the box that has a premium feel but it adds to the thickness of the smartphone.

There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack which isn’t surprising as the OPPO Find X doesn’t have one too so you have to rely on the included earphones with USB-C port or you can use a dongle for it. Regarding the audio, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom the does a great job on that one.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: Display

Surprisingly, OPPO didn’t use a curved display for the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom but personally, I love that as this one is better for me when it comes to gaming. The display of the smartphone is quite immersive as we got a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display in here. There’s a 93.1% screen-to-body ratio and again, it’s pretty to look at and it’s very immersive.

The AMOLED display of the smartphone also helped in producing beautiful and vivid colors on the smartphones and the blacks on the smartphone are good. Overall, despite having a Full HD+ display, and a non-curved one, the display of the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is pretty awesome.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: Battery Life

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom got a 4065mAh battery and I’m pretty happy with the results that I got on the smartphone. In our PC Mark Battery test, we got a score of 10 hours and 57 minutes which is great for a flagship smartphone. In my usage, I’ve been using the smartphone from 10 AM up to 9 PM before asking for a charger.

Speaking of the charger, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is using VOOC 3.0 Fast Charging and unfortunately, it isn’t as fast as the one on the OPPO R17 Pro’s SuperVOOC Fast charging but its 20W VOOC 3.0 Fast Charger will do just fine for me but again, it’s just half as fast as the SuperVOOC fast charging.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: Software and Performance

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom still uses Color OS 6 and it’s running on Android 9 Pie. Well, the UI of the smartphone is fast, and it’s very user-friendly. If you’re familiar with other OPPO smartphones, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom will do just fine for you. But of course, there are still some apps included on the smartphone but don’t worry, there’s plenty of storage here with 256GB storage.

The smartphone might be marketed as a great camera smartphone but of its amazing features is its performance. No, I’m not just talking about the processor of the smartphone but also because of its overall experience.

First, the smartphone packs a Snapdragon 855 processor and 8GB of RAM and in my tests, I didn’t experience any problems with the smartphone when it comes to gaming. Second, the smartphone comes with triple cooling technology and when playing games on the smartphone, I notice that the smartphone is way cooler compared to other smartphones with the same chipset.

We all know that the Snapdragon 855 is untouchable today but do check out our gaming review of the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom below:

You can also download the app at the Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamebench.metricscollector)

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: Camera

So here is everyone’s favorite feature of the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom — the camera. Why? Because this is the only smartphone that can zoom up to 60x which beats Huawei’s P30 Pro at 50x but the question remains, how does the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom perform in our tests?

First, let’s discuss the camera of the smartphone. The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom features a 48MP main camera + 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 13MP periscope lens for zooming. At the front, there’s the 16MP shark fin-style pop-up camera.

The pop-up camera of the smartphone performs well in our selfies and most of the shots are decent.

With the main camera, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom has the best camera in all of OPPO smartphones. The details are good, sharp, and the colors are well. I can say the same with the wide-angle lens but of course, it doesn’t have the same quality as the main camera of the smartphone.

Zooming is one of its best features. In my shots, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom can do up to 60x zooming on the smartphone however, you can easily notice in the photos that it’s using digital zoom and the details can’t be captured that well.

Overall, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is the best camera smartphone that OPPO has created. The zoom feature of the smartphone is really good

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Review: Verdict

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is the best smartphone that OPPO has ever made. It’s innovative and the smartphone is beautiful thanks to its design. Inside the smartphone is a powerful camera that has the chops for zooming and also a Snapdragon 855 processor that can do all the things that you need.

However, using the smartphone is a little bit slippery so I suggest that you use your case with it and there’s no IP68 water certification on this smartphone. Nonetheless, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is one of the best smartphones out there and I can say that the Php45,990 price tag of this smartphone is surely worth the price thanks to its powerful hardware and also the camera.

With the dawn of 5G, I’m really happy and excited to see what’s next for Vivo smartphones.
