Kingmax has been known for making RAM and flash memory. Recently, Kingmax has also launched the newest 2.5″ SATA III SSD. For those of you who doesn’t know what a SSD is, just google it out. If you don’t want to click on new tab and search for it, SSD is faster than the good ol’ HDD. It has the standard SATA III 6Gb/s interface and expanded storage capacity of 512GB

Here’s the press release

KINGMAX, a world renowned leading brand of DRAM and flash memory, has launched the latest 2.5” SATA III SSD. It has the standard SATA III 6Gb/s interface and expanded storage capacity of 512GB. It also supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ) which increases the performance and efficiency of SSD by internally optimizes the execution order of commands; thus taking users on a high speed ride. KINGMAX has also introduced a series of SSD with different types, including 1.8” SATA II, 2.5” SATA II, and mSATA, to meet variety of demands from end-users.
KINGMAX SATA III SSD has a maximum read speed that reaches up to 415MB/s and write speed at 260MB/s that significantly shortens the boot up time and also reduces file transfer time for users. In comparison to the traditional hard drive, SSD replaced the motor and rotating disks with NAND flash to store data; this shift to using electronic transfer comes with many benefits such as higher stability, energy saving, noise-free and etc. Moreover, it considerably lowers the malfunction risk and enables users to enjoy a quiet working environment.
In order to meet the demands of next generation OS, KINGMAX SSD also supports the Windows 7 TRIM command which optimizes write performance by clearing the garbage collection in the block and save the empty block for new write command. Other built in features such as Error Correction Code (ECC) and Global Wear Leveling function allow an even distribution of write commands to every block to ensure better performance, higher stability, and longer product life. Aside from the outstanding transferring performance, KINGMAX SSD also has shock-resistant up to 1500G, which is 5 times normal hard drive could afford. Moreover, its impactresistant metal shell case effectively fortifies shock tolerance of the SSD, guaranteeing the best data protection for users. KINGMAX SSD can be installed either in PC as a system drive or in laptop. All KINGMAX SSD Series products adhere to the RoHS compliance, CE standard and are FCC certified. KINGMAX is proud to say all of its products are subjected to the most stringent quality control; all products go through rigorous testing to ensure the highest quality. The Nokia C2-00 and X1-01 Review and Hands-on

0
Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00

Last Thursday, Nokia officially launched the Nokia C2-00 & X1-01, the new dual sim phones along with their endorser Vic Sotto. So I got play with those two phones for a little while (Thanks to Nikka Abes of Nokia). Nokia C2-00 has a better specifications than the Nokia X1-01 but both of them has the dual sim feature and affordable

Nokia C2-00

Nokia C2-00 and my fork that I used to eat

Nokia C2-00 is a Dual Sim, Dual Standby phone. The feature that I like here is it has the easy swap — a feature that allows you to change your SIM without turning off, removing and assembling. The body is made up of plastic but it feels solid and the design is kinda common.

The specifications of this might not meet your standards but at least this one has a capacity up to microSD 32 GB. This one is also powered by S40 so you can run java apps such as Opera Mini but you may not enjoy your web browsing because of the small resolution. Anyway, the main feature here is the Dual Sim, so if you are into a dual sim phone then this one is for you. This thing will have a price tag of Php 2990.00

Nokia X1-01

Nokia X1-01 while C2-00 hides at its back

Nokia X1-01 is C2-00’s little brother. Nokia X1-01 is part of the Xpressmusic family but this one has a dual sim feature. The loudspeaker of this is one of the loudest I heard for a phone with a very affordable price. MicroSD slot is also available with up to 16 GB of memory it also features a dedicated music keys and a battery that can last up to 36 hours of music playback. It is available in Dark Grey, Red, Ocean Blue and Orange. The only downside is that this phone doesn’t have a camera

I guess this phone is targeting the youth who are into cheap phones. It is available and has a SRP of Php1,990.00

Rating: 9/10

Sync & Charge in your car

0

3 weeks ago my family travelled to the Bicol region and I just saw this little thing inside the car. My cousin owns this one and he said that it was given to him. Sync & Charge lets you charge your iPhone/iPod or anything that can charge via USB. Sync & Charge is connected to the car lighter port.

I haven’t tested that on my i900 Omnia since I lost my USB Cable. Sync & charge is a great companion especially when travelling. Connect it to your iPod then connect your 3.5mm jack from your car to your iPod and voila!. You can listen to your iPod tunes in your car.

It would be also great for people who uses their iPhone for Navigation since it drains a lot of battery when using GPS. My cousin doesn’t know where we could buy this one. If anyone knows where to buy this one, please leave a comment :D.
