It’s official: The new iPad 2012
UPDATE: It has a dual core processor with quad core graphics processing unit. Okay, You’re good at fooling us Apple.

UPDATE 2: So it will be called as “the new iPad” no numbers or HD just “the new iPad”. I shall call it as the iPad 2012!

UPDATE 3: iPad prices:

As of this posting, it is still called as the “New iPad” They didn’t announced whether the device will have the iPad 3, iPad HD or iPad 4G moniker. Anyway, some of the new notable features of the “New iPad” are the Retina display, A5X processor, 5 Megapixel camera, Siri-like feature and LTE. You got all of that for the same starting price, $499. Not bad isn’t it?. The retina display will rock a 2048 x 1560 resolution, that’s bigger than your Macbook pro folks. The A5X processor packs a quad core graphics inside and it is 2x faster than Nvidia’s Tegra 3 and even though you have a dual core processor with quad-core graphics, it’ll still manage to have a 10 hours of battery life even with LTE. Yes, that’s right folks. The new iPad has 4G LTE inside and it can reach up to 75 Mbps of speed. There is also a 5 megapixel camera that has autofocus and Backside illumination which means that this new iPad is expected to have better image quality on pictures oh and it has 1080p video recording too. The best thing in here is that they still manage to retain the prices. Yep, it will still start at $499 for the Wifi + 3G. No available release date for the Philippines though!

I remember back then when my phone was a just Sony Ericsson T230. there were no unlimited promos or any promos from the cellular networks but when Sun cellular appeared and offered the unlimited promos, the other networks such as Smart and Globe were threatened and because of its affordable services they were forced to offer unlimited promos too.

I won’t make this post any longer because with this table, you’ll already understand why Sun cellular’s TU200 can help you save a LOT of money. Anyway, just take a look at the table:

As you can see with Sun Cell’s TU 200, you can save a lot of money. Obviously, in order to use the unlimited texting and 4 hours of calls you have to text/call your fellow Sun user. Both won’t work on other networks except for the 500 texts to other networks.

Worried about the purchase of Digitel/Sun Cellular by PLDT? Don’t worry, these unlimited features won’t be gone anytime soon because according to Mr. Pangan of Sun Cell, these unlimited features will stay at Sun Cellular because it is part of the agreement between the guys at PLDT and the government.  

Anyway, If you are such a sweet and adorable couple who loves to text with each other everyday and sometimes call each other then you might want to switch to Sun Cellular because you just have to spend P200 a month just to text each other every month. Very affordable isn’t it?

Sony knows how to pleased people in terms of design but the lack of a quad-core processor made it unattractive to some since the LG Optimus 4X and the soon-to-be-announced Galaxy S III is expected to sport a quad core processor. Anyway, if you want to pre-order now just contact Widget City and expect the devices to arrived on Friday

Save the date Apple Fanboys! March 7 will be the announcement of the Apple iPad 3 which is expected to sport a quad core processor and a new spanking Retina display which can be found on the iPhones.  Well, not all of those are confirmed but they have a high probability that those features will appear on the said device. Anyway, time will tell. Let’s just wait for the official announcement folks!

The quad-core market is starting to heat up with the announcements new quad-core phones such as the HTC One X. The HTC One X is part of the new HTC One family and this one will be their flagship. It has a lot of interesting features including the 8 megapixel camera that has an aperture of 22mm angle lens f/2.0 (Which means that there will be more brighter images) and it has an amazing feature that can capture images even you’re recording a video. Aside from that, this one will be powered by Tegra 3 Quad core processor (Marketed as 4-plus-1), the 4.7″ Super LCD 2 screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720. Pretty amazing huh?

3:30 PM Philippine time, the Nokia MWC event started and they announced some of their newest products in the Nokia lineup 2012 and one device catches the attention of almost all viewers. The Nokia 808 Pureview. Why is it? The phone rocks the same Symbian OS and the good’ ol’ 4″ nHD screen. Here’s the thing, this phone is equipped with 41 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with Pureview technology. That’s not a typo folks, it’s real, that’s 41 not 14 and it is pronounced as forty-one. It features a large, high-resolution 41 megapixel sensor with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology. Pretty awesome right?


Yes, even I was shocked when I heard that the Nokia 808 Pureview would have a 41 Megapixel camera. Even our camera doesn’t even reach that high. But boys and girls, the quality of the image doesn’t rely on the megapixel alone. It is on the sensor and other sh*tty stuffs inside the camera. Nokia has just been named as the top vendor of Windows Phone products thanks to the sexy Lumia 800 and the affordable Lumia 710. Nokia Lumia phones hasn’t been launch yet in the Philippines but some online stores like Widget City sells Lumia phones at a reasonable price but unfortunately they were restricted to sell it here in the country until the Philippine launch which will be on April. We don’t know the real reason why and we’re still reaching Nokia Philippines regarding this matter

UPDATE 3: I’ve talked to Nikka, the Corporate Communications Manager of the Nokia Philippines and she said that NO ONE from the Nokia Philippines told the online store to stop selling the Lumias.

Anyway, I guess we just have to wait for the launching of the Nokia Lumia phones in the Philippines on April.

Here’s the smallest brother of the Sony NXT design phone family, the Sony Xperia U. The smartphone packs a dual core processor but it has the same WVGA 854 x 480 resolution which can be find on older Sony Ericsson phones. There isn’t much surprising features here. There are no WhiteMagic display here just like its bigger brother, the Sony Xperia P but this one has exchangeable bottom caps which can be change into white, black, pink and yellow. I think Sony wants to target teenagers and the youth on this one. I hope that this will be affordable to everyone. This phone uses Gingerbread but don’t worry, there will be ICS update soon

Sony Xperia S just got a little brother at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. Sony Xperia P, the aluminum clad smartphone got its similar looks from the Xperia S but this much more smaller and some of its specifications were downgraded like the screen resolution. The Sony Xperia P is the mid-range phone using the NXT design. Some of its notable features are “WhiteMagic” on the 4″ qHD reality display, NFC, Dual core processor and HDMI. I hope that this phone will be available soon at a reasonable price.

MWC is starting to heat up because along with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Beam they also announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. There are only a few minor changes from its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 such as the operating system and the lack of LED Flash. It will also be available in 3G and Wi-Fi Variants. I hope that this tablet will be affordable since it still retain some hardware that can be found on the original Galaxy tab. Dual core tablets are soooo 2011 if you ask me. They should’ve use the quad-core Samsung exynos or even the quad-core Tegra 3
