Samsung has just launched their newest foldable smartphones in the market — the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and the Galaxy Z Fold5. Both smartphones pack a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processors and both smartphones now packs a zero gap hinge — a feature that we’ve been waiting for on Samsung Galaxy foldables. But the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is the one that packs a really major change as the smartphone now packs a larger cover display

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is the company’s most exciting phone this Unpacked as the Flip5 now packs a larger 3.4” cover display. This means that you can do more with its cover display including a larger live view for your selfies when you’re using it in flex mode.

WIth the larger 3.4” cover display with a resolution of 748×720, you could do a lot more. While it may not give you the same functionalities of an Android smartphone on the larger foldable display, you could still do a lot more including replying to messages with the ability to open the QWERTY keyboard, check calendars and a lot more. It’s also open to third party applications in case there are other apps who want to take advantage of it.

With a larger display, you can also customize the clock and the always-on display of the cover display of the Galaxy Z Flip5. This adds to the personality to the smartphone. As for the protection, there’s the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back and then there’s the Armor Aluminum body as well.

For the camera, the smartphone still comes with a dual lens camera with 12MP main camera and another 12MP ultrawide camera while for the front-facing camera, there’s the 10MP selfie camera. But since there’s the larger cover display, I tend to use the main cameras instead of the selfie camera of the smartphone for taking selfies and videos.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5

While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 doesn’t pack a major change both on the inside and on the outside. The smartphone packs almost the same design except for the camera module at the back of the smartphone that now packs a little bit of a new layout that is in line with the Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones.

This time, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 now packs a zero gap hinge similar to the Galaxy Z Flip5 so you can finally fold it flat and you don’t have to worry about external objects that might be in the middle of the foldable display once you close it.

Again, not much changes has been done in here but we can still expect here an improvements in our usage and optimization of the foldable display including an advanced taskbar in where we can now have 4 recent apps so you can drag and drop these apps on the display for multi-tasking.

They’ve also improved the flex mode on the smartphone as we can now have multiple information on the flex mode, touchpad, and even advanced toolbar so you can adjust and control the content that you’re viewing on the smartphone.

The smartphone is a bit lighter as well at 254g and it’s also thinner which makes the Galaxy Fold5 the thinnest in the Galaxy Fold series. Unfortunately, we still only have a 4400mAh battery inside and there’s no word regarding the charging speeds of the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series will still come with a similar design in where you can stick the S-Pen at the back of the tablet via magnet and then there’s the powerful processor as well. TNT has 49.3 million registered subscribers, accounting for 74 percent of their declared subscriber base.
