Meta has just unveiled the Meta Quest 3s at the yearly Connect 2024 event. This is their newest mixed reality headset that offers the same performance of the Meta Quest 3 but still affordable at $300.
The Meta Quest 3S will be available in two variants — 128GB and 256GB which you can get for $300 and $400 respectively.
The Quest 3S will be part of the Quest 3 family with the 512GB Quest 3 still the best headset in the family. The Quest ecosystem will also be improved with the Meta Horizon OS being rebuilt to support 2D apps such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. They have added spatial audio as well to better compete with other headsets.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is finally available in selected countries and in case you are wondering about the smartphone, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has some minimal upgrades vs. the predecessor. There are some camera upgrades and there’s a larger display on the 16 Pro Max as well at 6.9″ which makes the iPhone 16 Pro Max the largest iPhone ever.

As for the sound quality, it comes with a design with a stepped driver to bring sound closer to your ear, a custom diaphragm to reduce distortion and enhance bass, and a titanium coating for crisp high-frequency notes. One of the greatest smartphone engineering feats right now is the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate thanks to its tri-fold design that transforms the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate from a smartphone to a large tablet. However, the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate is priced at CNY 19,999 or CA$3,843 or PHP 157,830 which is quite pricey. It is expected to be available outside China next year.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 is the newest tablet to be announced by HUAWEI and it comes with a Dual OLED PaperMatte display with a 2000 nits of brightness and of course, with an anti-glare technology. Aside from that, the tablet also supports the HUAWEI Glide keyboard which comes with a touchpad, a charging port, and also a slot for the stylus similar to the one on the Microsoft Surface keyboards.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 also offers a PC-level experience with its apps just like the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2 that we’ve reviewed before. It will come with HUAWEI Notes, a PC-LEvel WPS Office apps and also GoPaint. These apps will work perfectly for scribbling and also for typing thanks to its PaperMatte display.
For the hardware, the tablet is expected to come with 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage, and also a 12.2 inch tandem OLED PaperMatte Display with 2000 nits of brightness. While for the operating system, the tablet is expected to come with HarmonyOS 4.2 inside.

28 Years Later, the sequel to 28 Days Later, is shot entirely using the iPhone 15 according to Wired. The director Danny Boyle, has partnered with Apple to push the iPhone’s videography to its limits.
This move is the first major and big budget film to be shot entirely with an iPhone but this move isn’t the first that we’ve seen. We’ve seen short films before shot by iPhone but we’ve never seen a big budgeted film like this to be shot by an iPhone.
The iPhone that is being used in the film is the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it comes with a lens attachment adapter to add DOF and to attach full-frame DSLR lenses to the smartphone.
This move from the director Danny Boyle and Apple, we might see more films to be shot entirely using an iPhone especially with the iPhone 16 Series features is focused on its camera.
