The Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s triple lens camera is definitely one of the best smartphone cameras that you can get in the market right now especially now that the AI of the smartphone has been improved. And now, we got an ultra-wide angle lens instead of a monochrome sensor and the Kirin 980 is actually pretty powerful and smart.

So how does the Huawei Mate 20 Pro fares in our tests? Well, we’re actually pretty happy with the results of our shots. Whether we used the RGB lens or the wide-angle lens of the smartphone. Most of the shots that we took are great and the difference between the P20 Pro and the Mate 20 Pro is noticeable and you have to take note that the Huawei P20 Pro still reigns as the best smartphone camera according to DxO Mark.

0

The Philippines loves selfies. Actually, Manila is the selfie capital in the world and I’m not actually surprised as a lot of Filipinos including me, take selfies wherever we are. In our country, we have a young demographics which is dominated by people who use their smartphones and in the Philippines, Vivo is one of the biggest smartphone brands in the country. So how did the company revolutionize selfies especially in the selfie capital of the world? Let’s take a look.

It started with the Vivo V5s which is known for its perfect selfie thanks to its 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture which resulted in brighter and sharper photos.  It also comes with selfie softlight technology which gives better lighting to your selfies.

And then there’s the Vivo V7+ which is equipped with a 24-megapixel front camera that is made for selfies and of course, there’s the 5.99-inch AllScreen display for a better visual experience. Then there’s the Vivo V9 which features a better 24MP front camera with AI face beauty which definitely improves our selfies and added a more natural effects

The Vivo X21 has also released in the Philippines it introduces an improved AI photography in its 12MP front camera with Dual Pixel sensors and today, we now have the Vivo V11 which features a 25MP selfie camera with improved AI selfie lighting and improved AI algorithms which can understand the user’s face and interact with it.

It now has AI face shaping technology which enhances the facial features of the selfie taker and the smartphone can easily edit the nose, mouth and eyes for a more beautiful and natural looking selfies. The smartphone also comes with AI portrait framing that allows taking of selfies easier than ever.

The Vivo V11 features a HaloFullView display and of course, a Snapdragon 660AIE chipset with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of RAM. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner too which is really an interesting feature.

The Vivo V11 is now available for Php19,999

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Unboxing & First Impressions

0

The best Huawei smartphone of 2018 is here and it’s probably the best one of the best Android smartphone in the market right now and it’s the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The smartphone is first one to be powered by Kirin 980 chipset and it has a focus on AI. So what do I think about the smartphone? Check it out on our first impressions below.

Inside the box

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s box is the unit itself, a free jelly case, a fast charger which made for the Mate 20 Pro, a headphone jack dongle, earphones and a USB-C cable. Well, nothing really special inside the box but the fast charger of the smartphone is really damn fast and they really mean it. It’s the fastest smartphone charger that I’ve tested. EVER.

The smartphone

All I can say is that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the best-looking smartphone that the company has ever released. You might think that the square camera set up at the back is hideous but no, it’s actually pretty cool and it looks good especially with the available colors of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

The one that we got for review is twilight color but the Emerald Green looks better and it feels better due to the special glass texture of the back of the smartphone and it also a grip to the smartphone which is really cool. The design of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is very ergonomic to the hand as the smartphone features a curved glass on the front and the back which makes the smartphone easier to hold. Not only that, but it also adds beauty to the smartphone.

Unfortunately, the smartphone ditches the headphone jack similar to the Huawei P20 series. Instead, they’ve included a headphone jack out of the box which is fine to me as most of my accessories are already wireless.

So far, I like the curved OLED display of the smartphone. yes, it has a bigger notch compared to the Huawei P20 Pro but it does have more sensors which allow me to use the face unlock despite having no light and the bezel is thinner compared to the P20 series thanks to lack of the physical fingerprint scanner below the display. The fingerprint scanner of the smartphone works really and faster well too compared to other smartphones. the curved display definitely adds a lot of sexiness to the smartphone.

Amazing camera

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro now features a different camera setup as it now features a 40MP RGB lens, 8MP telephoto lens, and a 20MP Leica Ultra wide angle lens. in our experience, we were pretty happy with the results that we got from the camera. The night mode is still amazing and the smartphone is still mind-blowing. But we’ll get down to that once we’re done reviewing the smartphone

We’re not done reviewing the smartphone. The one that we’re reviewing doesn’t have the final software but all I can say is that it’s my favorite smartphone right now. It features everything that I want on a smartphone and the wide-angle lens of the Mate 20 Pro is really amazing.

Why is the Vivo V11 a standout selfie camera?

0

The Vivo V11 is definitely one of the best mid-range smartphones out there. Not only that the smartphone is beautiful with its starry night colors, but the smartphone is also a great selfie camera. Actually, Vivo has been known for creating smartphones with good selfie cameras that’s why I was not surprised that the Vivo V11 performs really well in the selfie department.

The question still remains, why is the Vivo V11 a standout selfie camera? It’s simple, the 25-megapixel front camera sensor prevents noise thanks to the high number of megapixel and then there’s the f/2.0 aperture which will surely give enough light to reach the image sensor.

Not only that, but the Vivo V11 also features AI including the AI face shaping which helps enhance the structure of your face and also AI selfie lighting which gives better lighting effects as algorithms can recognize how the user’s face reacts with light.

And of course, we still have AI face beauty and AR stickers which will add more fun to our photos and also enhances them.

Vivo has truly been a leader in developing selfies camera smartphones with its V5 Plus as it features a 20MP dual front camera, and then the V7 and V7+ with 24MP front-facing camera.
