The new Blackberry Curve

The successor of the Blackberry Curve 9300 has been announced by RIM. The new Blackberry curve comes in 3 variants 9350, 9360 & 9370 but I think the only variant that will land on the Philippines is the Blackberry Curve 9360, the GSM Variant.

LG added another member to the Optimus Line, the line of Android LG Phones. LG Optimus Sol is targeting the mid-range market. Surprisingly, LG Optimus Sol does not use the NOVA display which can be found on the Optimus Black and Optimus 2x. LG decided to use Ultra AMOLED which is good for outdoors

Sony Ericsson Live is available in Black and White

A new Sony Ericsson Walkman Android phone was announced earlier. This Android walkman phone is equipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread w/ timescape, 3.2″ HVGA screen and 1 GHz processor. The 5 megapixel camera w/ autofocus can record up to 720p HD. There is a VGA front facing camera too. This music phone also features a expandable storage via MicroSD up to 32GB w/ 320mb of RAM inside. There is a walkman music button so you can go straight to your favorite musics and tracks. Since this is a walkman phone there is xLOUD inside which makes it possible to listen loud without distortion.

Ever thought that your 4″ phone is too big for your hand?. Then think again, Samsung will be announcing a new phone at IFA 2011 at Berlin this September 9 that is way bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung I9250. This phone will have a 4.65″ Super AMOLED HD with 1280 x 720 resolution (Samsung Galaxy S II has 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus with 800 x 480 resolution). That resolution is even bigger than some netbooks available around the market right now.

Something big is coming

Look at the picture very closely. You’ll notice that the two fingers of that guys is on the back of the phone. Thats how big the phone is. It also rumored that this phone will be using Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Yes, that OS hasn’t been released yet. So what do you think guys?, is this the Next Nexus phone? or the Galaxy S III. Well, Time will tell.

Cherry Mobile offers phones from different price range. They have phones starting at P700 up to P14,000. And there is one phone that catches my attention, the Cherry Mobile Eclipse 2.2. Why? because this phone is using Android 2.2 (froyo) & it has a dual sim feature but you can get it for only PHP5,000. Pretty amazing huh?. Too bad the processor is clock at 416 MHz.

Google will acquire Motorola Mobility for a whooping $12.5 Billion. Google bought Motorola Mobility (Not the entire Motorola just the Mobile division). Some of Motorola’s Android devices are Motorola Defy, Motorola Atrix and Motorola Xoom.

Google said that Android will remain open and Motorola Mobility won’t see a merger and it will still remain as a separate business. They bought Motorola for one thing — to defend Android from Patent wars. Don’t worry if you’re a Samsung, HTC, Sony Ericsson or LG users. The CEO of those companies supported the acquisition of Motorola Mobility
