Samsung Series 9 Notebook
Samsung Philippines recently launched their sexiest notebook yet — Samsung Series 9 Notebook at The Peninsula Manila, Makati last March 22, 2011.
Many celebrities and the most stylish people came together that night for the launching and arrival of the sexiest notebook, Samsung Series 9 Notebook. Rajo Laurel, Randy Ortiz and Rhett Eala. The three highly respected fashion designers gathered that night to showcase their collections which was inspired from the Samsung Series 9 notebook’s top features of being the lightest, thinnest and the brightest.

The 13″ Series 9 is the Samsung’s thinnest notebook measuring only 16.3mm (0.64 inches) which is thinner than the Macbook Air. It is also the lightest with a weight of only 1.31 kg (2,88lbs.) and the brightest — using only the Samsung’s LED technology: ‘SuperBright Plus’ display (400nit) on its 13″ screen with 16 million color reproduction 80% brighter than other notebooks. The sexy body of the Series 9 notebook is all encased in the most advanced Duralumin metal alloy which is also used in specialized aircrafts, making it durable yet stylish and ultra light.

When it comes to sexiness, nothing beats the Series 9 Notebook. Because for me, the top features of the Series 9 makes it sexy. The design is the first thing that makes a PC sexy. Samsung Series 9 is made up of Duralumin metal making it durable yet sexy. Another factor that can make a PC sexy for me is portability. Samsung Series 9 laptop is very portable. The 13″ screen size equipped with ‘SuperBright Plus’ is just the right one for me plus the 0.64 inches thickness which makes it thin and sexy. Despite the 0.64 inches thickness it has the powerful 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 Processor inside which makes the laptop powerful too.

Samsung 9 Series Specs:
2nd Generation Intel Core i5 Processor 2537M (1.40 GHz, 3MB; turbo up to 2.3 GHz)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) / Windows® 7 Professional (64 bit)

The Power of Tegra 2

0

I was invited at Nvidia editor’s day event yesterday and they talk about the power of Nvidia products like GeForce, Tesla and of course Tegra 2. I got also a chance to play with some Tegra 2 devices yesterday including the Motorola Xoom, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Acer Iconia Tab.

One of the advantages of the Tegra 2 is the better web experience. It loads flash and almost everything just like in your desktop computer. Tegra 2 delivers you the full web on the palm of your hand. Can you imagine that?. Oh, did I say that the HTML5 loads the fast on the Tegra 2 than the others?. I’ve tested it myself using the Motorola Xoom and flash content on my site loads fine with no crashes.

The dual core Tegra 2 also allows you to multi-task faster. It is almost 2x faster than the others. It means that you can check your Facebook and play your favorite games without experiencing too much slowdowns.

2x Faster 2x the fun

Tegra 2 is also a gamer’s bestfriend. The graphics quality on the Tegra 2 is better than just take a look on the picture below:

Smooth and realistic shading on the Tegra

Ninja Fruit is way better in Tegra. Smooth edges and more realistic shading. Cool huh?. You can get those games optimized for the Tegra devices on the Tegra zone. All in all, Tegra devices is great when it comes to performance. If you want great performance on your tablet or phone then choose a device with the Tegra inside

I want to thank Ms. Jenny, Mr. Edward & Ms. Melody for the warm welcome yesterday

Globe launches 4G Mobile: First in the Philippines

1
I am pleased to announce to you that 4G technology was launched first by Globe. 4G is the 4th generation of the cellular wireless standards and obviously, it will be faster than 3G.

This rollout, the first phase of which utilizes the global standard HSPA+ or Evolved High-Speed Packet Access. It means that the theoretical download speeds can reach up to 21 mbps with upgradeability for 84Mbps. In Globe HSPA+ network, subscribers are expected to enjoy browsing at an average speed of 4-6 Mbps with even faster peak speeds.  Other 4G technologies include LTE or Long term evolution and WiMax. Last November 2010, Globe completed field trials of 3GPP LTE together with the SingTel Group and NEC Corporation.

Many places across Metro Manila is covered by the Globe 4G technology which includes Marikina, Quezon City, Makati, Pasay, Las Pinas, Taguig and the City of Manila. By the end of this year, Globe expects to increase the 4G presence and it is planned to increase its expansion in 2012.

Globe has already made 4G available in over 1,500 sites in nearly 60 provinces across the Philippines, which covers 365 cities, including Manila, Caloocan, Cainta, Antipolo, Taytay, Plaridel, Cabanatuan, Dasmarinas, Bacoor, Imus, Tanza, Calamba, Batangas City, Cebu City, Cagayan De Oro, and Zamboanga.

I’ve been a globe user for 6 years and I hope when I get a 4G device, they won’t fail me when it comes to speed and reliability. You can’t fully utilize the 4G if you’re device doesn’t support it. It means that your device must be 4G ready. I’m glad to say that the bandwidth capping isn’t applicable on the Globe 4G
Now that the Globe 4G has been launched, what are the things that we can do with Globe’s 4G network?
1.  Upload and watch videos flawlessly
2.  Browse the internet fast even when you’re travelling.
3. Blog wherever you are. Fast!
4. Get in touch with your Social Networking accounts. Fast!
5. And many more
This is another exciting service brought to you by globe. What are your thoughts? Any comments about this guys?
