Nokia N9 in Three Different Colors

Nokia announced their newest Meego phone at Nokia Connections 2011 in Singapore, the Nokia N9 (sorry WP7 fans but don’t worry Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said that a WP7 will be announced this year and will be available in 2012). This unibody phone will be using a A-8 Cortex 1 GHz processor and not the usual ARM11 processors which was used in Symbian Phones

Nokia N9 is the newest part of the family high end series of Nokia Phones equipped with Meego, the OS that Nokia CEO Stephen Elop scrapped for the sake of Windows Phone 7. Nokia N9 is a unibody and the first buttonless cellphone. It means that those home keys is replaced by a simple gesture: a swipe.
Nokia N9 features a 8 megapixel Carl Zeiss autofocus sensor wide-angle lens, HD-quality video capture and large lens aperture enable great camera performance even in lowlighting conditions. I don’t know why they didn’t choose the 12 megapixel camera which was present in Nokia N8. It has a free turn by turn and walk navigation with voice guidance in Maps.
Fitted with the latest in wireless technology, Near Field Communication (NFC), the Nokia N9 allows you to easily share images and videos between devices by touching them together. Pair it with Bluetooth accessories like the new NFC-enabled Nokia Play 360° wireless music speaker only once, and you get a great surround sound music experience with just a tap.
The Nokia N9 will be available in three colors – black, cyan, and magenta with storage options to accommodate plenty of content: 16GB and 64GB. The Nokia N9 is scheduled to be in stores later this year, with availability and local pricing to be announced closer to the sales start
I’m really excited about this one since this will be Nokia’s first Meego device. Let’s see if Meego can really compete in the Mobile OS market

0
Nokia C2-02 w/ the slide closed

3 new C2 variants was introduced at Nokia Connections 2011 in Singapore – the Nokia C2-02, Nokia C2-03 and Nokia C2-06. All of them use a keypad and a touchscreen. There may be some little difference with those variants like the dual sim feature on the Nokia C2-03 but all of them are affordable for everyone

Nokia C2-02 is a single sim version while the Nokia C2-03 is the third Dual SIM phone by Nokia (The first two Dual sim phones by Nokia are Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00 which I blogged about a few days ago). It also comes with Nokia’s unique Dual SIM capabilities like allowing user to personalize up to five SIM cards with a dedicated look and feel and the Easy swap option (which can be found on the Nokia C2-00 as well) that lets users change their SIM Cards without having to turn off their cellphone. The last phone, Nokia C2-06 comes in a range of fresh colors with a clean, smooth finish

Nokia C2-06
All of these phones ship with the new Nokia Maps for S40, where local maps and places of interest pre-installed on the phone. It means that users can view maps and plan routes even when the phone is not connected to the GPRS.

These three phones has Nokia Browser too. It is almost similar to Opera Mini, Both browsers compress their data which keeps the costs of surfing low and speeds up pages.
These 3 variants packs a FM radio, Media player, expandable memory up to 32 GB. The estimated retail price of the Nokia C2-02 and C2-03 is approximately USD 105 (around PHP4700) and for the Nokia C2-06 it is USD 112 (around PHP5000). All of the devices are expected to hit the market in the third quarter of 2011.
The stylish C2-03
Nokia has made a great affordable phone that caters what the people wanted, a featurephone which has a touch screen feature with an affordable price. This phone may take some numbers from Samsung’s affordable touchscreen phones in the market.

Sony Ericsson Duo leaked

0
Image Via GSM Arena
As we all know, Sony Ericsson sells phone which has outdated hardware. Just like the new Xperia Family. When the Dual-core became a hit, Sony Ericsson preferred a single core 1 GHz processor and a Adreno 205 GPU for all of its Xperia Phones

There are only a few information about the Xperia Duo. The only thing we know is that this phone will have a dual core processor and a much bigger screen than the current flagship, the Xperia Arc. I don’t know if Nvidia Tegra 2 will be inside this baby, but Tegra 2 is popular nowadays so Sony Ericsson might think of switching to Tegra 2
I hope that this phone will be released soon with a reasonable price.

A 1 GHz S40 feature phone?

0

This is a little odd. Nokia’s Manager of marketing in Argentina tweeted about a S40 Phone that will be equipped with a 1 Ghz processor. The phone is said that it will feature a Capacitive touchscreen with clearblack display, QWERTY keyboard, 3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, 512 mb RAM and a store for apps and games

I don’t know what Nokia is thinking right now. A featurephone with a 1GHz processor?, I don’t know what will they use it for. Anyway, Nokia Connections 2011 is near so we may just have to wait

KINGMAX SATA III SSD, the Interface with Fastest Transfer Rate

0

Kingmax has been known for making RAM and flash memory. Recently, Kingmax has also launched the newest 2.5″ SATA III SSD. For those of you who doesn’t know what a SSD is, just google it out. If you don’t want to click on new tab and search for it, SSD is faster than the good ol’ HDD. It has the standard SATA III 6Gb/s interface and expanded storage capacity of 512GB

Here’s the press release

KINGMAX, a world renowned leading brand of DRAM and flash memory, has launched the latest 2.5” SATA III SSD. It has the standard SATA III 6Gb/s interface and expanded storage capacity of 512GB. It also supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ) which increases the performance and efficiency of SSD by internally optimizes the execution order of commands; thus taking users on a high speed ride. KINGMAX has also introduced a series of SSD with different types, including 1.8” SATA II, 2.5” SATA II, and mSATA, to meet variety of demands from end-users.
KINGMAX SATA III SSD has a maximum read speed that reaches up to 415MB/s and write speed at 260MB/s that significantly shortens the boot up time and also reduces file transfer time for users. In comparison to the traditional hard drive, SSD replaced the motor and rotating disks with NAND flash to store data; this shift to using electronic transfer comes with many benefits such as higher stability, energy saving, noise-free and etc. Moreover, it considerably lowers the malfunction risk and enables users to enjoy a quiet working environment.
In order to meet the demands of next generation OS, KINGMAX SSD also supports the Windows 7 TRIM command which optimizes write performance by clearing the garbage collection in the block and save the empty block for new write command. Other built in features such as Error Correction Code (ECC) and Global Wear Leveling function allow an even distribution of write commands to every block to ensure better performance, higher stability, and longer product life. Aside from the outstanding transferring performance, KINGMAX SSD also has shock-resistant up to 1500G, which is 5 times normal hard drive could afford. Moreover, its impactresistant metal shell case effectively fortifies shock tolerance of the SSD, guaranteeing the best data protection for users. KINGMAX SSD can be installed either in PC as a system drive or in laptop. All KINGMAX SSD Series products adhere to the RoHS compliance, CE standard and are FCC certified. KINGMAX is proud to say all of its products are subjected to the most stringent quality control; all products go through rigorous testing to ensure the highest quality. KINGMAX’s products come with lifetime warranty to provide 100% satisfaction guarantee to customers. 2.5” SATAIII SSD Product Features:     Rapid transfer than HDD
