MECHANICS

• The contest is open to all residents of the Philippines who are 15 years old and above.
• Submission period starts on November 10, 2010. Deadline for submission of entries is on December 12, 2010, 11:59 p.m.
• Participants must send in their original artwork design for a Nokia phone theme. This includes background images and color schemes for menus and highlights.
• The background image file format must be a jpeg/gif/bmp file. The maximum size would be 500kb. For the color scheme, the participant should specify in the email the specific colors for menu and text when they are active and inactive.
• Entries together with the participant’s full name, email address, home address, mobile number and birth date must be submitted via email to themespirations@ovi.com.
• Criteria for selecting the finalists will be:
  • 50% Originality
  • 50% Creativity
• Twenty (20) finalists over-all will be chosen: Five (5) finalists will be chosen at the Y&R Philippines Office, 9/F Marajo Tower, 312 26th Street cor. 4th Ave., Bonifacio Global City at 3:00pm on each selection date (November 22, 29, December 6 and 13, 2010). Cut-off for each selection date is at 11:59pm the day before (November 21, 28, December 5 and 12, respectively). The chosen themes will be available for download once they are published eight (8) working days after each selection date. Each of the chosen themes will be made available for download until January 31, 2011. Non-winning entries after each selection dates will not be included in the succeeding selection dates.
• The finalists’ themes will be available for download only for Nokia Mobile Devices using Symbian, S40 and S60 Operating Systems. Laptops, Personal Computers and other mobile devices not using Symbian, S40 or S60 Operating Systems will not be able to download the aforementioned themes from the Ovi Store.
• All twenty (20) selected entries will be converted to Nokia theme files and will be made available in Ovi Store for download. Participants whose entries are selected will be notified via registered mail. They will also be notified when their entries are available in Ovi Store for download.
• The judging of entries will be done by Nokia Philippines.
• A participant can submit as many entries as he/she wants but only one (1) entry per participant will be selected for uploading to Ovi Store.
• All participants whose themes are selected to be available on Ovi Store automatically win P10,000 each.
• The grand prize winners will be determined by the following criteria:
  • 50% number of downloads
  • 25% Originality
  • 25% Creativity

  The top three (3) participants after tallying the score based on the aforementioned criteria will each win P25,000 and one (1) Nokia N8 unit each.

• Grand Prize winners will be determined on February 5, 2011 at the Y&R Philippines Office, 9/F Marajo Tower, 312 26th Street cor. 4th Ave., Bonifacio Global City at 3:00pm and will be announced on February 7, 2011 through the website. In case of ties, the prizes will be awarded to the entry that was submitted to themespirations@ovi.com.
• The winners will be notified via registered mail about the prize and the redemption details. They will also be contacted by a Y&R Philippines representative thru their mobile numbers.
• The prizes must be claimed at the Nokia Philippines office, 40th floor Philamlife Tower Paseo de Roxas corner Ayala Ave., Makati from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
• All prizes of provincial winners will be sent to the winner’s mailing address via courier. Courier costs will be shouldered by Nokia Philippines.
• To claim their prizes, winners must present the following:
  • – One (1) valid ID with picture or birth certificate of the winner.
  • – In case the participant will not be able to claim the prize, he can have a representative come to the Nokia office for prize pickup.
  • – The winner’s representative must present a valid ID (Philippine passport, driver’s license, valid ID with picture, etc.) and an authorization letter from the winner along with the winner’s valid ID.
• Period of redemption shall be within 60 days from receipt of notification. If not claimed within the given period, the prize shall be forfeited in favor of the sponsor prior to DTI approval.
• The prizes are as follows:
  • Three (3) winners – One (1) Nokia N8 and P25,000 each winner
  • *20% tax for the prizes exceeding P10,000 shall be shouldered by Nokia Philippines.
• Prizes are not transferable or convertible to cash.
• Employees of Nokia Philippines Inc., Y&R Philippines and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity are not qualified to join the promo.
