DITO has been named the Philippines’ Best Network for the second consecutive report, while Smart strengthened its position in mobile experience and Globe posted gains in consistent quality, according to Opensignal’s July 2026 Philippines Mobile Network Experience Report.

The report evaluated the mobile network experience of the country’s three major operators — DITO, Globe and Smart — using data collected over a 90-day period from April 1 to June 29, 2026.

DITO secured eight awards across the report’s categories, including six outright wins and two joint wins. Meanwhile, Smart also recorded eight awards, while Globe finished with two outright wins.

DITO retains Best Network title

DITO earned the Best Network award for the second consecutive time, driven by strong performance across network performance and reliability measures.

The operator recorded the fastest download and upload speeds in the report, while also leading in Reliability Experience and Time Connected. DITO additionally shared the Video Experience and 5G Video Experience awards with Smart.

DITO’s Reliability Experience score stood at 838 points on Opensignal’s 100-to-1,000-point scale. Globe followed with 833 points, while Smart recorded 816 points.

The award marks DITO’s fifth consecutive Reliability Experience win.

Smart leads gaming and voice app experience

Meanwhile, Smart strengthened its position in the experience-focused categories, securing outright wins for Games Experience, 5G Games Experience, Voice App Experience and 5G Voice App Experience.

Smart scored 72 points in Games Experience, giving it a four-point lead over DITO. It also topped Voice App Experience with 79.6 points, one point ahead of DITO.

Smart also shared the Video Experience and 5G Video Experience awards with DITO.

The results give Smart eight awards in the latest report, up from six outright wins in the previous edition.

Globe takes the lead in Consistent Quality

Globe recorded one of the biggest shifts in the latest report after taking the Consistent Quality award outright from DITO.

Globe posted a Consistent Quality score of 58.9%, an improvement of 14 percentage points from the previous report. The figure puts Globe one percentage point ahead of DITO at 57.9%, while Smart recorded 53.5%.

Consistent Quality measures the percentage of users’ experience that meets the minimum recommended performance thresholds for common mobile activities.

Globe also retained its outright win for Coverage Experience, marking its fifth consecutive victory in the category. The operator maintained a score of 7.4 points out of 10.

DITO leads reliability as competition tightens

The latest results show a more competitive picture among the three operators, particularly in network reliability and quality.

DITO’s Reliability Experience score declined by 10 points from the previous report but remained high enough to retain the award. Meanwhile, Globe improved by 72 points to reach 833, narrowing the gap with DITO to five points.

Smart posted a smaller four-point improvement to reach 816.

According to Opensignal, Reliability Experience measures users’ ability to connect to a network and successfully complete basic tasks, taking into account issues affecting both network access and the ability to use lower-performance applications such as standard-definition video, voice calls and web browsing.

Report covers 90 days of network experience

The Opensignal report covers the three major mobile network operators in the Philippines — DITO, Globe and Smart — based on user experience recorded between April 1 and June 29, 2026.

Overall, DITO finished with eight awards, including six outright wins and two joint wins. Smart also secured eight awards, with six outright wins and two joint wins, while Globe recorded two outright awards.

The results highlight a competitive mobile market in which the three operators lead in different aspects of connectivity — from network reliability and speeds to gaming, voice, video and coverage experiences.
