Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review

The Redmi Note series is probably one of the most popular smartphone series here in the country as they provide a midrange price on a smartphone and yet, it still features the powerful hardware including the Snapdragon processor inside it along with the premium build of the smartphone. Want to know more about the smartphone? Check it out in our review below.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Design and hardware

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with a premium design. There’s the glass at the back of the smartphone similar to most premium and flagship smartphones but this one comes with a solid glossy back which means that fingerprints and also dusts are noticeable on the smartphone.

The size of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is big since we got here a large 6.67-inch Full HD+ display. The footprint of the device is large so for smaller hands, they might find the Redmi Note 10 Pro too big for their hands but the curved back of the smartphone does help in the ergonomics and the grip for the smartphone but I highly suggest that you use the included case for the smartphone to protect it.

There’s a fingerprint scanner on the smartphone too located at the power button of the smartphone and on the top of that is the volume rocker. Below the smartphone is where you can find the USB-C port that supports 33W fast charging and along with that is the speaker grill while the headphone jack of the smartphone is placed at the top of the smartphone which basically lets you connect your charger and your speaker or headphones without blocking each other.

Another added feature on the smartphone is the IR blaster at the top of the Redmi Note 10 Pro in which you can use for Mi Remote. It’s a nice feature but I bet not all of you would use that one. As for the speaker of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, it’s actually pretty great and I was surprised with the quality that we’re getting in here.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Display

For the display, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro fared pretty well as we got here a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz panel. It’s very rare to see midrange smartphones pack a 120Hz panel like on this one and not only that, we also got here an AMOLED panel which is why the display of the smartphone is smooth when navigating.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an adaptive display so you have to manually choose from 60Hz to 120Hz and vice versa if you want to save more battery for your smartphone. As for the quality, well, it was vivid and colorful as expected thanks to the AMOLED panel of the smartphone and it’s very usable outside so I didn’t have any problems with the display of the smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Battery Life

For the battery of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, there’s a 5020mAh battery inside which is good enough for its size, and along with that is a 33W fast charging. In my usage, the smartphone was able to get a PCMark battery test of 13 hours 15 minutes which is pretty great.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Software and performance

The smartphone is running on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and as expected, the software of the smartphone is light and there are only a few apps that come with it which is why the smartphone loads fast. The icons and the colors that are used are also easy to the eyes and of course, the UI is very user-friendly to everyone.

As for the performance, the Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, and the one that we got comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and in our usage, we were pretty happy with the performance of the smartphone. Running the game on different apps won’t be a problem and even games will be just fine on the smartphone. Check out the benchmarks that we got on the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

When it comes to gaming, the smartphone was able to run demanding 3D games like Genshin Impact but of course, toning down the settings will give you the playable and enjoyable framerates. Running games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Mobile Legends will be a walk in the park for the smartphone so if you’re planning on playing games on the smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro will do a great job for its price.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Camera

The camera of the smartphone is one of the reasons why the Redmi Note 10 Pro is a ‘Pro’ smartphone. It comes with a 108MP main camera along with 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP telephoto camera, and also a 2MP depth sensor. From just the lens, I already like what we’re getting on the smartphone like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro already.

In our tests, we were pretty happy with the results that we got on the smartphone. The quality of the images that were produced on the smartphone is good, produce good bokeh, and they’re sharp at bright conditions. As for the selfies, it’s not the best that we’ve seen in the market but it produces the details that we need on a camera on the smartphone. Check out the shots that we took using the smartphone:

Thankfully, the shots that we got on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro were great. It doesn’t get to reach the flagship level photos but they’re good enough for a midrange one.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is a great smartphone, especially for its price range. We’re getting here a large AMOLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a large battery, a camera that performs really well, and it has a premium design. The only thing that is missing here is 5G which isn’t really a requirement on a midrange smartphone today. But hey, it’s still really affordable.
